Will with everything that had happened to Khareth Blackcroft lately, he had forgotten to advertise the opening of his occult store, the Green Dragon, which was located one block East of the Rhy'din Opera House. The store had been opened for about two months, and thankfully there were customers, despite the lack of advertising. The Green Dragon also had Net Cafe and Coffee house. Khareth had a huge collection of books, talismans, charms, candles, and other Occult-based items, for a reasonable price. Now was time to advertise and get more customers.

With that Khareth sent out flyers and posted his own website the Green Dragon's Lair, a site for the purchase of items from the Green Dragon Occult Store and info about the store itself.

Mara had rambled on and on about one of the other many occult stores in Rhydin, and she had managed to peak Dalia's interest. So, the two were there for a visit and a little bit of spying on the competition.

Dalia had not officially opened the store yet, so there was time for a few changes if her displays matched this Khareth's too closely.

With Mara in tow by her padlocked wristband, she entered the store to have a look see. She noticed many things that she carried, and saw some things leaning towards the lighter side, or white magic, which she of course did not carry. She also noticed some things missing that she had a ready access to. No worries there.

Browsing, and taking a peek at the jewelry, she released Mara's wristband from the leash attatched to the waistband of Dalia's leather pants, and sent her to shop. "Here love, go find yourself something pretty. Find something for a gift for Narisa, as well. You will be sent to her soon and one does not arrive as a guest empty handed, does one?" Patting her pet on the rump, she slipped a small pouch of coins into the back pocket of Mara's pants.

She too browsed, her interest peaked by the small collection of people seated before comp terminals. Hmm. Interesting idea, but she did not want the energies of non-practitioners in her shoppe; and surely offering the Ethernet would attract them. She sniffed, smelling an enticing aroma of coffee. She knew that scent, that was Earth coffee! Oh! How she longed for Earth coffee! Hurrying over to the counter, she ordered herself a grande sized cup with mocha flavorings, and sat in a corner to enjoy every sip. Oh, this was sinful!

She was blissfully unaware as Mara walked up and sat beside her, those peridot eyes of hers nearly boring a hole in Dalia's nearly empty cup. She chuckled, knowing how Mara had missed her joe from home, as well. "You may purchase yourself a cup, dear. Find out if we can by the beans by the pound, as well. Unground." Waving her hand and clucking her tongue to move the girl along, "Come come, hurry up. We need to get going. Zillah is having that new Captain in town over for dinner to discuss those shipments for Narisa."

Shopping" She was being allowed to shop on her own" Dalia must be in an especially fine mood, today!

She hurried off to look, with Narisa's dark smile haunting her. She must choose just the right thing. Nothing to presumptuous, but nothing trivial either. What would she want' Perhaps the proprietor could help.

Searching him out, she asked one of the young ladies working at the coffee counter, "Excuse me, but is the owner of the shop here today' I could use some assistance." Smiling wickedly, she checked the girl out blatantly, and winked before turning and heading back to the ritual items.

Khareth came downstairs to the store, this morning and saw two new customers at the coffee shop section of the store, the two seemed to be occult enthusists so he personaly greeted them to his store.

"Good morning ladies, may i help you with something, looking to purchase some items, have a cup of coffee, we sell coffee by the pound, unground if you perfer, though we have not had much call for it, i can accomidate if you want. Is there anything in practicular you were looking for? We have a wide selection, catering to all from the novice to the master, what would you like, we offer all our items at a fairly good price, have to keep up with the competition you know, including that new occult store opening up in the Marketplace, "Dalia's Dark Side or some such."

He showed the young woman arround, pointing out the various items to her.

"I am looking for a gift for a dark sorceress, and I believe she dabbles in Necromancy. I am blissfully ignorant of most of these things, but my Mistress has told me to find something appropriate to bring as a gift. Could you perhaps suggest something?"

Tugging gently at the wristband to which her Mistress usually attatches a leash, she looks at the items around her, and sighs, a bit overwhelmed. She wanted the gift to be perfect, for Narisa as well as for herself; Dalia would be upset with her if she failed to do this simple task.

Hands behind her back, she peers at the statues he shows her, and points to a large one of Hecate represented as a triple goddess. "My Mistress has something such as this in our home. Perhaps something like that would be good...or...not jewelry, surely' I just don't know. Please help me, Madame Dalia will be most upset with me if I fail in this!?" Her worry causes her voice to border on a whine, and she looks up at the man, pleading with her pale jade eyes.

Looking at the young woman's distress, he spoke up

"Will that would be a good gift for a dark sorceress, i also have a number of blood vial necklaces done with sliver or gold chains, half-off due to the Halloween season and the high demand from the vampire population. I hope that will help you decide, ma'am."

Staring in shock at a particular stature that bore a striking resemblance to Narisa, she murmured her thanks to the man, and reverently lifted the statue. She smiled wickedly, wondering if this would be appropriate, but decided no. Setting it gently down, she wandered about the store some more, slightly anxious that she was taking too long.

Spotting Dalia sitting in the coffee shop with a glazed expression on her face, she decided she was fine, time wise. So, she browsed to her heart's content. Plucking one of those blood vial necklaces, then, thinking better of it and grabbing five of them, she tucked them in her arms, hiding them from Dalia's sight. She had ideas for those.

Choosing a rather nice obsidian bladed ritual knife and a small raw peridot, the color of her eyes, she decided to look for something for herself. She found a collar that seemed to be fashioned from black thorns, and grinned, thinking Dalia would find this most appropriate for Mara to wear from now on. It had a small silver tag dangling in the back that could be engraved. Perhaps Zillah would do something fancy with it.

She headed for a front counter to pay, spending nearly all the coins Dalia had given her. She hid the five blood vial necklaces in her bra, and then headed to Dalia's table, suddenly realizing the treasure she had been drinking. EARTH COFFEE! OH! Mara hadn't had a crappy cup of Earth coffee in years, and a decade since she'd had a good cup of joe. She practically drooled as she set her packages before her Mistress, staring at the cup in Dalia's manicured hand.

"I am done Madame Dalia." She murmurs. Dalia then said those blessed words...get herself a cup! She jumped at the chance, ordering quickly before Dalia had finished hers and made her leave, as well as the coffee beans Dalia wanted to take home. Good, she knew she'd be back again to pick of coffee for her Master and Mistress. She'd be able to sneak more later.

Watching lovely little slave flirt and schmooze with the coffee counter girl, Dalia found herself getting slightly jealous. Hmm. Perhaps it was time for a change for dear Mara.

Stepping close behind her as she sipped her coffee, Dalia placed her hands on Mara's hips and pressed herself tightly to her, whispering in her ear. "What does that girl have the I don't?"

Disgusted with herself for any weakness such as jealousy, she turned and spoke sharply to Mara. "Hurry up. You may bring the all the packages with you. I need a walk. Alone. Go directly home and see if Zillah needs you for anything. If not, begin setting up the remaining displays. Oh, and call on that De'laCroix woman again. I have about had it with her delays."

Dalia left the store, steaming. Anger was a common emotion, but rarely was it with herself.

Rocked by the realization that Dalia was pissed at herself, Mara nodded and hurried out behind her Mistress, eager to be by herself at Dalia's shop. She had things to do and she needed to find out just why those ghosts and spirits haunting the building tried to vie for her attention so much.

But, first things first. She slung the bags over her shoulder and headed down the street in the opposite direction, those few coins left from Dalia's generous allowance still burning a hole in her pocket. Mara had some shopping to do!

Khareth

Before Khareth could say goodbye the two ladies walked out of his store. One of them seemed rather angry with the other one, he was glad for the business but sometimes the customers were to say the least a little odd. But such was the life in Rhy'din, and he had no complaints. When the two ladies left, their sepearte ways, Khareth went to help another customer, a gnome by the looks of him. It was business as usual, and Khareth had a sale to make.

And as for the girl who worked at the coffee shop part of the store, Jessica, she seemed to be a bit well, flustered and took a break, she never had that happen to her before, but the tips were good and the work easy, and not bad paying.

Once the gnome brought his illusion magic supplies, Khareth went over to help out a couple, vampires by the looks of them, looking for Tantric books and blood magic. Khareth never asked the business of his customers or quetsioned their purchases, that would be bad for business. So he took the two vampires to the back section of the store, and left them to their search. After a while they came back with a number of items, questionable in nature, they paid for them and went on their way. Khareth was just glad for their business, no questions asked.

Khareth and his wife Mercury had a fight, and she left him, taking the kids with her. He was alone now, it was something he was used to, prehaps it was not his fate to have a family or to have loved ones. The home they had, seemed empty now, Khareth let Mrs. Stonefoot, the Dwarven nanny he and Merc hired, go, there was no need for her services, any longer. He packed up all of Merc's and the kids things and sent them to her new house. He also sent to her a substantial amount of money in gold, gems and artwork to her. Khareth then went down to the store and did his usual reutine, greeting customers and having a cup of espresso at the coffee shop.
