Faeries loved few things as much as dressing up and looking beautiful. Knowing how to look fabulous was one of the finer points of court life and Jewell had embraced it when she had lived at home. RhyDin rarely called for her to use her experience in dressing like a queen but Carnivale...Carnivale had come and it was time to go wild!

Abby was so looking forward to the upcoming festivities and had found the perfect dress; it was very much in her taste, yet she hoped that it still kept them guessing. She'd not had a very friendly time of it here in Rhy'din (actually, most just ignored her bedcause she tended to be so quiet), and hoped to make a better impression at this Carnivale! She was determined to use this opportunity to introduce herself to the citizens of Rhy'din!

The fabric of her dress was blissfully soft beneath her fingers. Her mask? Hand crafted. And she'd found the most interesting accessories. But, the price! Even after she'd haggled and ranted her way to a lower price, Eve had to look away while handing her hard-earned silver to the sales attendants. Still, it was worth the expense of attending the Masquerade if she met one new person, gained one new playmate.

Though she had not expected to be in the realm for the Masquerade Ball, Piper found herself back home and free to attend. Rushing about to find a suitable gown for the evening she settled on simplicity. Understated, it would have to do, as most of those shops with the more elegant and outrageous gowns had already sold out....

Since coming to Rhy'Din a very kind ghost left her a very decent amount of money. AJ was talking to her and said that the ball would be a good place to meet people. So she decided to find something to wear and maybe show up even though she knows she'd probably be late.

The theme for her green. Adrienne never was able to go to a ball before but she got AJ's opinion before hand and AJ said she'd look good....she hoped.

The dress wasn't that expensive and Adrienne really put the mask together herself. She was just going to look the part without blowing all her cash.

The saleswoman kept trying to lead Eva towards the true ball gowns, but Eva refused. She couldn't bring herself to put on anything that would draw quite that much attention to herself. It looked beautiful on other women, but for her, not so much. So she ended up buying this, and the mask to match.

She had hoped to find a mask that would cover the scar on the left side of her face, but she didn't want to hide her lips. So she resigned herself to the fact that she would be easily recognizable. It was all for fun anyhow.

There had been much debate between Johnny and Sianna about what Johnny would wear to the Masquerade. She wanted him to wear the plaid he had been gifted by the Nexus - he preferred a classic tuxedo. The argument finally was resolved when Johnny pointed out that he wouldn't be comfortable dancing in a kilt. Tuxedo and a plain mask were agreed upon.

Aly was going all out tonight. Masquerade balls were the sorts of parties she enjoyed back home, so this was a big night for her. She was going to be completley decked out and dance the night away.

Piper had been kind enough to send Maeve a costume for the Masquerade but it didn't look like anything someone would wear for such an occasion in Myobi. If Maeve made it she was going as the protective hawk spirit with the following mask:

The geometric designs on the black and white carved wooden mask each held a specific meaning. Maeve wore it with a simple black tank top and black linen pants with cuffs made up of white feathers around both her ankles and her wrists.

It paid to have good friends. Rhy hadn't planned on going to the ball, but Jade had called her and insisted she come and then poof'ed her an outfit. Rhy got ready in a hurry but still looked classic. Goddess Bless Jade Rogue.
