Everything was ready. The stage was set up outside of the Red Dragon Inn with a little catwalk extending from the middle and a microphone stand at the side. A man was standing behind the microphone stand, tugging at his bowtie. That bossy girl with the dark hair and grey eyes had tied it too tight, but he didn't dare change it. Oh no, she was looking his way again! He averted his eyes down to the cue cards in his hands.

People were starting to gather around the stage in expectation. Even this early in the afternoon there were people about the Inn, going to and from the market and stopping for a drink inbetween.

When the clocktower struck one, he began. "Lords and ladies, welcome to Meet Your Tenders, and we're not talking about those delicious chicken ones that are served on Tuesday Tenders night," he alone laughed at his corny joke.

"Okay," a nervous tug at the bowtie again, "First up we have Jewell Ravenlock!"

Jewell stepped up on the staged and moved her way down the catwalk, black sequined evening gown perfect for the occasion. "Jewell is the little devil that you can find behind the ol' bar on Thursday nights. She loves long swims in the ocean but is not a friend to most fire elements. Otherwise she is extremely pleasant and always up for some engaging conversation."

As Jewell winked at the crowd before turning and making her way back down the stage the MC added on, "Watch out guys, she's married. Again."

Next to step out from behind the curtain as her name was called was Tera Destre with a warm smile very much in evidence. The cowgirl slowly sashayed up and down the catwalk that had been set up. She had decided to just wear her work outfit.

The MC spoke up after ogling her a bit too long. Another tug was given to his tie but his voice rang out clear and true.

"Her best qualities are making people feel welcome, introducing newcomers around, and cheering for blood, guts, and glory. This little woman's favorite pastimes are spending time with her French Pirate and dueling with swords. She has been a bartender for ages and loves her job. Meeting new people and watching them make new friends brings a smile to her face very time."

Jean de La Fontaine

No one watched Des with as much pride and admiration as did the pirate Jean de La Fontaine.

It took a bonk on the MC's head from Jean's fist to finally get the MC to talk.

"Whoo hoo!!" Jean cheered and put his fingers in his teeth and whistled as Des started down the catwalk.

Of course he agreed with all her "best qualities" that the MC described, but then he also knew her even better qualities, those that are revealed in those quiet times spent by two people who are in love.

As she walked the catwalk the pirate mouthed, "I love you!"

"Next, we have Antonio Falconne, one of your Friday night tenders. Antonio cuts a dashing figure in his Italian Renaissance-style garb, once again proving that tights aren't just for ballet anymore."

With a small smirk betraying his amusement, Antonio makes has way down the runway with practiced nonchalance, his steps unconsciously in time with the background music

"When not slinging drinks, Antonio dabbles in a little bit of a lot of different things. He's been known to sing, dance, write poetry, do weapons demonstrations, and cook fine meals. From a long line of Venetian merchants, Antonio continues that tradition, focusing primarily on luxury items, including gems, jewelry, silks, gourmet edibles and potables, and other wares for the discriminating consumer. Sorry ladies, but he's married."

With an unhurried turn at the far end, he makes his way back down the catwalk, smiling both left and right to the crowd. As he reaches the curtain, he turns, gives a brief wave, and exits backstage.
