Topic: Message for Mara....

Zillah hunted high and low for his former slave, asking those who may have seen Mara Payne, and bribing where he could. Finally, he found out that she had been seen in the company of a Sith, Lady Raven. He would find Mara if it killed him!

Leaving messages for her at the Red Dragon Inn, as well as posted all over the marketplace, where it was rumoured she trained, Zillah was determined.

They read: REWARD for information leading to the whereabouts of Mara Payne. Mara! I need to see you. We need to speak. Please contact me. I am staying at the Red Dragon. Please, pet! Find me!

Tears were to be seen threatening to spill as the tall, deliciously handsome man tacked each note with loving care.

She was drug around behind Zillah, a sneer on her lovely face as she watched his once strong, captivating aura shatter. He was becoming pathetic! What had Veronica seen in him"

She was collared, though, and had no choice at the moment. She obligingly held the nails and posters, head bowed in mock submission as the simpering idiot pleaded with his lost pet. Good for her! If Zillah was the kind of master to Mara as he had been to Veronica, it was lucky she fought free!

Veronica felt trapped, and hated herself for allowing herself to be tricked into this position. It went against ALL she stood for.

She vaguely listened to the whispers about some Scathachian Sanctuary, where possibly she might find safety. She would plot and plan her own escape while Zillah was so preoccupied with chasing after Mara. What had she seen in this man"

Mara had seen the posters, and she could feel the confused desperation of Zillah, it was an almost palpable wave of emotion that hung about these hastily hung messages.

Mara arrived at the Inn, hours before sunset, and climbed the steps to Zillah's registered room. She knocked on the door, hesitantly at first, then with a more confidant rapping.

She called to Zillah quietly, not wishing to draw attention to herself, "Zillah, it's Mara. I'm here...let me in and we can talk."

Concealed at the small of her back was a razor sharp fighting blade, and she was sporting her new custom boots. Blades were concealed in the toe and heels of each, spring loaded to emerge at a certain pressure by her foot. She was dressed in her usual training attire: worn leather pants, a blouse, and a thick leather vest, providing some protection from blows and slashes. Mara had been training with knives mostly, but her mental powers had increased three fold as well.

She waited impatiently for Zillah to open the door, steeling herself for the sight of him, for he had always taken her breath away. She prepared her heart, icing it over, for the loving smile and those eyes so like green limes that could undress her, down to her very tender soul.

Chin held high, she knocked again, and waited.

He glanced at the foggy mirror above the dresser, smoothing his hair and shushing Veronica with a stern glance, before opening the door. The vision that greeted him was enough to knock him back a step, he smiled and recovered his surprise quickly. Mara was a changed woman. Something new sparkled in her eye, and freedom seemed to suit her. She glowed.

"Come in, Mara. Please...have a seat. Mara, this is Veronica, my new pet." He adds quickly, watching those pale jade eyes for any sign of jealousy, or a reaction of any sort. Seeing none but a tinge of disgust, he quickly changes the subject.

"I have been looking for you, but I'm sure you know that. Dalia is gone, off planet for the time being, to recover. I don't think she will be back. You damaged her. I wanted to talk to you for other reasons, though, pet. I mean,....Mara. I miss you. I wanted to make you an offer."

He walked with his usual grace and strength to the small, battered dressar and took out a small box. Turning back to face the beauty before him, he dropped to one knee and opened it. "Marry me, Mara. I can't live without you. I need you around. It was wrong of me, so wrong to allow all those things to happen to you. I knew from the moment I saw you that you were meant to be mine. I mistook my love for you for something perverted and twisted. Please...I am so sorry...marry me and come back to me."

His lime green eyes pleaded with her, and he was sure his tears looked genuine. Perhaps they were.

Standing at the sound of his words, she gasped and shouted, "WHAT"!"

Stomping over to them both, she peered into his bewitching face, and slapped it. Ripping his collar from her throat, she threw it at him. She was free now, these last few days giving her the strength to fight his obvious spells...for she no longer wished to do his bidding. She MUST have been enchanted! "You Bastard!"

Standing, hands on hips between them, her little form seething with anger and bordering on hatred, she glared at Zillah with those eyes of violet, they shifted hues with her anger. "How could you do this to me" I trusted you and Dalia...you put a spell on me! How could I have ever loved you?" She yelled in his face, and snatched the ring from him, turning it over in her hands. "Say no, Mara. I know you will, but trust me, he was NOT faithful to your memory."

Smirking, she tosses the ring at him and headed for the door.

Deftly, a hand snatched Veronica's coat and hauled her back into the room, a shove pushes her into Zillah and they both topple over. "Stay where I can see you, blondie." Mara growls softly, not trusting this head strong new little pet of Zillah's.

She smirked and placed one hand on the hilt of her fighting knife concealed at her back. She stands nonchalantely, appearing to just be resting her hand on a cocked hip. Her fingers wrap about the hilt, feeling the rubberized ridges of the grip.

"You dare ask me that, now" After all that has happened" Do you know what I AM, Zillah?"

She would not attack him, not just yet. She would wait to see what his miserable excuses would be. This was so amusing.

He was caught off guard and nearly knocked backwards as the slight form of his currently ex-pet' was thrown into him. He was surprised at Mara's strength and speed, and he could sense her amusement.

Humbling himself further, something that was so extremely odd for Zillah, he scootched closer to her, on his knees, and pleaded with her. Tears shone in those green as limes orbs, and his hair hung limply, lacking it's usualy sheen and luster. He hadn't eaten well, nor slept since Mara left the Manor.

"Mara, I did you wrong, but I thought I was only doing what made you happy. I had no idea what she did to you, I swear it. She had me under her spell, too!"

He was lying of course, and but he was pouring every ounce of Fae magick into this bewitchement...he needed Mara back. She was not only power for his sister, but his power over her had given him strength as well. He had fed off her just as Dalia had.

Yelping as she was caught, and completely surprised as she was flung into Zillah. He tossed her off him easily, and she scrambled to stand behind him. She saw the woman going for a weapon, but did nothing. Perhaps Mara would let her just leave, maybe her fight was with Zillah alone.

Veronica stood quiet and deadly still, not wanting to draw attention to herself, or make any movement that might be considered threatening. She knew she could take this woman, for Veronica was a far better fighter with a blade. She had just been angry and had not seen it coming, that's all. She kept telling herself this, trying to still the trembling in her hands, but she was not buying it either. She had truly never seen that hand coming. How did she DO that?

"You are such and idiot, Zillah. You really think that I will be taken in by that cheap parlor trick? You were never a match for Dalia," Mara snorts, "And obviously, she was never a match for me. Turn off the Fae charm, lover boy, and say goodnight. I've had it. You sicken me, and your little pet here just annoys me. If she's a good little girl and knows what?s good for her, she'll run along now and find someone else to con."

Mara parted her feet, standing in a fighters stance, weight balanced. She waited for Veronica to leave before she would begin this fight with Zillah, it was not Veronica's fight. Mara would kill him. He took her from the streets and a life of crime, and probable early death, but he had contributed to the Monster she saw herself becoming, and for that, he would pay.

"Get out, Veronica. Get lost. Don't let his beauty take you down the road I went. You're free. Consider yourself bought and freed."

Veronica scrambled over herself to get out of that door, and fast. She didn't know what it was about this woman, but she scared her. There was an aura of power about her, and she felt as if she could feel the woman's thoughts probing her own. Perhaps she was, she had seen and experienced much on this new world that had startled and scared Veronica.

Not about to look a gift horse in the mouth, she slipped past Mara with a faint, "Thank you, Ma'am." and was gone.

Veronica paused at the door, looking back once at Zillah, she had thought that she had loved him. She turned to see if it truly had been a spell.

His eyes were locked on Mara. He never even looked at Veronica as she had fled, and this saddened her a little. Perhaps she had felt for Zillah, but his time had come. She knew Mara meant to kill him, and she also knew Zillah loved her enough to let her.

With a sad sigh, and a tear rolling down one pale cheek, Veronica fled the Red Dragon and the scene of her once beloved's demise.

Mara watched the girl scamper out like a frightened kitten, and nodded to her brief thanks. She locked gazes with Zillah then, watching him as she stepped closer to him. Mara's lips curved into a wicked, seductive smile, and she knew he was scenting her by the way his delicate nostrils flared.

Lithe steps, she circled him, always watching him as he watched her. She began to play with him, then...the anticipation would make it all the more sweeter. She felt the embers begin to burn brighter in her mind, and The Other awoke at the scent of her own fear and excitement. Was time to feed, time to play' "Quiet...you will have your turn." She spoke to it, that part of her that had arisen from slumber.

"Do you miss me that much, Zillah' Do you miss my tongue, my kisses" How about my screams as you whipped me with leather belts and your own tongue" Hmm' Do you miss falling asleep between creamy thighs, do you miss being able to do what you wanted" Did Veronica let you? No...I cannot feel your corrupted touch on her. Did she fight back, or where you saving her for me?"

Pacing, slowly, ever so slowly, so he could follow her with his gaze. She towered over him, her mind locking him in place. He had tried to stand once, tried to shove against her own mind with his will, but he had failed. Like a good little boy, he relented and allowed her to run the show. She could feel the tension in him growing, and knew he would not sit still for long. She was ready for him.

"Shall I let you please me before I kill you...Zillaahhh?" She moaned and sighed his name, the way she used to when they made love; she knew it drove him mad with lust. Mara watched those oh so sinfully green eyes spark with unconscious desire, she watched his pulse rate, pupils dilate, and his breath quicken. She had mastered so much, working with Lady Raven, and she drew on his emotions. Fueling her rage, fueling her own desire with his allowed her to open the door for what she called 'The Other'. The Other was that part of Mara, or part of us all really, that was capable of doing those things we never thought we could do. The Other could do this thing, and never lose a wink of sleep over it. The Other had no conscience, and The Other was ready to play.

Raven hair draped over her shoulders as she leaned against the wall opposite the door. She would not intrude, but she wouldn't let her beloved Mara get taken either. When she heard screams from inside she looked up with those golden hues. Mara? that voice was anxious again but she didn't move, she didn't sense distress from Mara, but from another girl. Shifting lightly in her black skin tight robes she positioned an arm in her cloak. Prepared if need be, prepared if Mara needed her.

Waiting outside, always listening at the miffed shouts with interest. Her beautiful Mara inside and speaking to an old life she was better off leaving alone. Raven would always be weary of the threats that would befall her Mara and her. Mara was important to Raven, she wouldn't let Mara go without a fight. And she had her sabers ready.
