Please remember that your character would not know that Firesong is not out to kill all the Slavers herself. She will continue to claim that she is and will continue to fight with them as need be and at random. :)

That is after I IM them, or they IM me, to see if we are both in the mood to free form role-play a fight at that particular time. :)

The story posted there may or maynot be associated with Lucky. Right now, it's just an exercise to break some serious writer's block. :?

Solar Girl

Date: 2006-06-18 08:43 EST
It's in my profile, but it bears repeating here.

Solar Girl is not, repeat, not based on any existing comic book character past or present, although there are definite homages. Solar Girl is an original work.

She's also not from the same world as the characters as any comic, just so you know.

Kaxyl

Date: 2006-06-18 14:06 EST
Anyone wishing to join my storyline 'The Hunted' may feel free to do so. (Both Leti and Kaxyl are owned by one player.)

I currently do not have any plans for the characters to actually leave Rhy'Din, though they will likely try. Instead, plans are for some baddies to show up looking for Leti and begin hunting her down there. (These baddies will likely be a mix of high fantasy and Sci-Fi NPCs.)

Characters of any sort are more than welcome to join in the story, whether Sci-Fi like Kaxyl, high fantasy like Leti, modern, supers, etc. I'm more than willing to work with anyone.

Sorry that the story is getting off to a slow start so far, but I wanted to get some background for my two characters into it for you. I'll try to pick up the action in the next few posts and give some opportunities to join. Feel free to post your own background and how they meet up with Leti and Kaxyl as we go. (Perhaps your character has overheard their discussion and has a way to help.)

Thanks,

Anyone who would want to join the story of Rachelle Binks in the thread "A Fair Maiden rides in" is welcomed to.

She is willing to talk to anyone, good or evil. (Yes, this young maiden has a wild side lol)

Just start a story with her and she will fallow up. ^__^

In regards to the thread:

Ravenlock Rooms : Boarding & Japanese styled Bath House

This is an open thread to all who wish to drop on in. It will be a boarding house, and we will also have an outdoor Japanese style hot spring bathhouse (with retractable roof) for the tenants and locals as well. A Beer Garden will be set up on the roof of the building as well, for tenants and locals alike.

So feel free to drop in as a tenant, or a visitor. I am sure we can crank up some interesting stories and hilarious antics between the boarders, bathers and Beer Gardeners.

The thread: Natha Lotha Renor Voiry is an In Character Journal of sorts for a very insane, little drowess.

Things which are written in it, may not be true. They most probably will make little sense, or they may be clear as a bell. It is to document a process of reforming, development. All are welcome to read, but the player would like to remind that the information within, is not to be accidentally taken into play.

After reviewing the website a few times, I finally felt confident enough to jump in and take off.

The thread is here A Notar's Account of an Overshot Escape

If your character is the helping or charitable type, I am sure the PC could use some help in this new world. Tis not everyday you arrive in a wormhole spell.

As for the OOC behind the PC, I have been rpging since (forget the years) D&D Volume 2. Too long, much too long to stop, think I found something truly great here, judging from the people. Hope to see all of you at the Inn or in the thread.

I've been asking around, but found very little luck on this. If anyone knows how I can get in touch with the player of an old char who was known as Sidartha, I'd be much appreciated. I got a map from Colleen's player and only found out recently the place I've had them ruling over is actually run by her character and I don't know if she still plays as the ruler of Millenia on the old Bellum map. Just need to clear the air on that as I haven't seen her around in my three years of being around the RDI and the Duels.

Dawn,

It was so good to see you again after so many years. We sure do go back a long, long way.

Welcome to Dragon's Mark.

"My character was married multiple times (you know who you are), had children.." Yes, Luthien and Gavilean were married by Xenograg in . . . um, in the fall of '94" And Tristan is their son. I was hoping Luth had him.

Anyway, I'm glad you found your way here and I hope you come to enjoy writing and rping here. It would be nice to see Westridge's neighbor, Mountainside, thriving once again. :)

- - -

Sylus, I remember Sidartha well. We go back to early '94. I think it was Malenia or perhaps Tara that she ruled. The old map was posted here: http://rdi.dragonsmark.com/forums/viewtopic.php"t= 1495

Thanks to everyone who has replied either in this thread or in messages. It is a good feeling to be remembered ..and so far no hate mail...thats a good sign. Hey Tassl~ <hugs>

Another question tho....is this site based through AOL somehow? Or is it it's own entity' I could use some help figuring a few things out....like how did someone send me in IM ....was it because I was in a chat room' I dont currently use any other kind of IM program like ICQ or AOL...haven't been on aol in near a decade.

Made my appearance in Dragon Tales folder..just to get my foot in the door. "The Dust and the Ice" thread.

Again, thank you for saying hi :) @—`-,—{——-

Tasslehofl

This place is totally on it's own now days. The only affiliation with AOL it has (at the moment) is the dueling forum where it uses the AOL/AIM Private Rooms for the chat, and not the Flash Chat that is used over here (yet).

IM/PM's are sent through this site as well. Just click on either someone's profile, or I think there's a button at the bottom of their post that says "PM" or private message, and that's how that's done.

A lot of people don't use AIM/AOL around here anymore. The only affiliation with AOL I have now days is AIM 4.something....but that doesn't mean that you need it to play :) Unfortunately (for the moment) it does mean you need it for the Duels, which I see you have already found.

By all means, if ya have any more questions or anything, just PM me, or post here...or whatever.

It's nice to see that rose again, love. ~Q

Just one point I'd like to add to what Tass said.

The IM's that you do while in the RDI are not absolutely private. I'd download the new AIM 6.0 if you'd like to speak to anyone privately OOC.

As Tass said, yes, it's nice to see that rose again. I had forgotten about that. I had been off AOL since around '98 when I brought Philippe to just write with Teleperien in a private area.

I don't think you'll get any hate mail here. Even Gav didn't get any. Not even from Tass!! ::grins:: Who, btw, kissed Gav in the Inn.

Sienna Dawn

Date: 2007-02-10 10:29 EST
Much of Sienna's story evolved when she met Jake, and his player, at the RDI one night. I want to thank the wonderful, talented and generous player behind this colourful character. Si and her story wouldn't wouldn't be the same without them.

If the story is from Jake's point of view it was written by, and cross-posted with the permission of, Jakes Player....so, as follows, if it is from Si's point of view, it was written and posted by me....and some are co-written.

RP scenes are copy/pasted from the log...just as played...so as not to lose anything in translation and, mostly, because I'm lazy. :-D

Thank you to those responsible for this forum, for a haven for this hack of a writer/player to have a place to play....and to those wonderful writer/players who play here for the inspiration and just downright creative works posted for all to enjoy.

Amen to that, L. Big kudos to Keaton for starting it off, to Maia's mun for being a fabulous, engaging play partner. Thanks to Kalis-nar for being a good sport about the whole affair, for Lucius, Jewell, the whole thing with poor Carley, Kacey bringing a very scary look into it, as well as Reprisal. Love to Sev for bringing all the goodies to the yard, too!

Plus Tempren and Emmie for the play in the Marketplace, Icer for being the fire brigade, Elly for working on a cure and vaccine, Jake and Elessaria for a more outside perspective, Lydia for a terrifying post and Lang for helping in the cleanup efforts.

What a great thread. Looking forward to seeing the cleanup continue.

DangerousJello

Date: 2007-09-24 15:05 EST
In An Army Watches the Red Dragon, it's implied that a group of jello-men are attempting to move soon on the R.D.I

I hope to clarify some questions ahead of time.

Who may role play in this story line" Anyone who sees the SN DangerousJello within the room may engadge the jello men as they see fit, including mangling, eating, blowing up, kick, poke, lick, and otherwise enjoy yourself in a PG-13 manner.

What if I don't want to acknowledge them or don't feel like being part of it" That's o.k. I don't want to push something on some one not interested. That's not what FFRP is all about.

Who are you? ::jigglewobble::

Can I role play a jellow (wo)man in your army" Yes! Please do! Contact me anytime for any questions or concerns you have.

What's the point of this SL" Laughter. And my tribute to imagination.

How long will you run it' Long enough to have a few random, sugary delicious attacks on the R.D.I before the main army arrives. Once that's said and done, I'll be retiring the jellomen for a bit.

I have other questions? Ask away! :}

I just wanted to take a moment to thank everyone for last night's RP. You're a very talented group, each with your own individual style, and it was great fun watching how each of you would have your characters react to Eless' empathic breakdown (for lack of a better term).

Whether or not your character was directly involved or was an observer— all of you participated in creating a vivid scene. In my opinion, it was a great example of cooperative role-playing. There were IM's going on behind the scenes asking for permission to participate and/or how much; how would Eless react to a certain approach; what was going on that might not be blatantly visible, etc.

Believe it or not, the scene was a stretch for me. I am not used to being a complete "Drama Llama"; but, I had accidentally written Eless into a corner and you helped me write my way out.

Special thanks to: Piper, Darkmere, Sianna & Johnny, Shy (& her notebook ;) ) and Icer!

You guys rock! ::steps off her soapbox and drags Eless out of the spotlight as she goes::

Notes on Beyond the Closet Door:

For more information on this storyline and the conversations that lead up to it, feel free to visit www.mutualendeavors.org and check out the forums. Particularly the thread The New and Gently Used Character Party. As well as our events calendar that talks a little about it as well.

Feel free to join in on the storyline, or not as you see fit. There are many ways in which the shockwave can be blocked, such as magic wards that protect residences and things being in the way of the doors. Also: you may add to this and other potential future posts however you like. It's pretty much free reign and anything goes, but if you have AIM/AOL we are maintaining an open room to be played in as well. Any questions" PM me.

I'm open to roleplaying, though, so by all means, if your character encounters Paladin walking his beat (pretty much anywhere in the WestEnd and Dockside both), or going about his other activities (all over the city), just fire me a PM. ^_^

1. Lasherette, you're so creative! I like how you'e written about Sepher! I'm sure he'll appreciate that as well... 2. Trav, what on Earth man..? Your stories are just evil... what, hae you been watching too many horror films lately' Other than that, you're really good.

Hey guys!

I am never to this forum, but definitely not to rping!! I love to rp all kinds of characters, girls and guys! (Though I am a girl, if that matters to anyone). All I have here is this one kinda soothsayer/dream therapist character, Cicerone, to get a feel for this new place. I'm down for suggestions and ideas. I tried to make her a character that could easily get incorporated somewhere. Ultimately I think of her as a "good guy". I started rping some 11 years ago and with college being rough on me, I took a long break. Now I'm back!! I need to get dusted off!! Please say hey or PM me if you have any ideas or the like. I'm sure I'll also be posting under playables to try to get this ball rolling!

And most importantly, HAVE FUN! By tomorrow morning (or later, if you want it to be a latent effect), it should be in place and your character should be a child again. How it works and how long it takes for them to grow up is up to you.

Enjoy!

Baby Stabs, my contribution to a hilara-good SL idea, Your Inner Child and You.

Thanks guys for the boost to write!

If you're talking part in the Your Inner Child and You storyline, please post a copy of your story posts or a link to them under the original opening post here: http://rdi.dragonsmark.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t= 19371

That way, we can all read what each other wrote!

Regarding the "The Missing" playable....I hope no one minds, but we sort of spun that SL off of the "Inner Child" SL. We needed to write Sam out for a bit and thought instead of just saying he's just upstairs or something, we'd have him disappear.

He's going to be abducted sometime this coming week by some sort of monster similar to the legendary "boogeyman", who has started catching and collecting kids around the city.

Once the boys grow up, there will be a rescue in the works. Anyone who wants to play off the playable or take part in the SL is free to do so. Have fun with it! The more the merrier.

If anyone has any questions, feel free to PM me or Sam. Thanks!

In regards to the thread " Upon a forested creekside":

We've come to a point in the storyline where we've arrived at a village further downstream than where the storyline began. It's a point in the storyline where someone of neutral or good alignment could easily enter the storyline via the village itself.

Anyone interested isn't required to write excessively long posts like I do. If you've read the storylines you'll notice my friend writing for Dafina doesn't write but a few paragraphs in many of her posts.

We do discuss some matters that would change the plot OOC though so if you do join and are going to do something that would put a large wrench in the gears, let me know ahead of time of some minimal amount =D

Regarding the thread "Eternal Sunshine of a Scattered Mind"

This is just a request, I am extremely new to RP'ing and the writing portion as well. I am thoroughly enjoying it but I have seen so much talent on the boards and need some help. Please if you feel a character of yours may be able to help Julianna move her story I'd appreciate it. I also apologize for being so very vague on her story as it is...I left her very open. Thanks and happy writing! :)

Before I post anything anywhere else, I would like to note that this character has been retconned to his original version. Any posts made after October 2007, as well as any posts in the A Vicious Circle folder, are to be ignored in their entirety and treated as if they never happened. Anyone approaching this character that he had no involvement with prior to that point will be treated as if they are a complete stranger.

Don't like it' Tough. My character, my story, my rules. If you can't deal with it, don't play with me.

Special thanks to Gem's and Fio's player for taking over Risa's Winterfest "duties". I would have been in deep poop without them!

Thank you to everyone who came out, played and participated in posts or however.

You rock!

Overture is open to anyone who wishes to play. ^_^ Currently on the bridge over the river in the city.

The thread is designed so that I can get Maja "settled" in the city, so really, truly, ANYTHING can happen to her...

A few days ago I was having some work done at my local garage. A blonde came in and asked for a seven-hundred- ten.

We all looked at each other and another customer asked, 'What is a seven-hundred- ten"' She replied, 'You know, the little piece in the middle of the engine, I have lost it and need a new one..'

She replied that she did not know exactly what it was, but this piece had always been there.

The mechanic gave her a piece of paper and a pen and asked her to draw what the piece looked like.

She drew a circle and in the middle of it wrote 710. He then took her over to a car just like hers which had its hood up and asked 'is there a 710 on this car"'.

She pointed and said, 'Of course, its right there.' the mechanic fainted

If you're not sure what a 710 is ........

A big THANK YOU and great job to all who assembled the Dragonpalooza event.

Also to Judah and Fury for the playlist...I enjoyed it.

Ditto that, Rena!!

I'm glad there was a YouTube playlist besides the Spotify one. Lately my computer hates Spotify. I'm not exactly sure of the reason why since I've used it before without any problems.

Anyway, keep up the great RP times! And thank you!

I am new to these forums and it has been a decade or so, at least, since me and my toon stepped into the RDI on AOL.

I look forward to putting out some info and storytelling on my guy, the ever quickly lovable William Blackmoon.

The wild Cayt is a very rare breed prone to hermit habits!

Blame Will's writer, he sent a nudge my way. Might even write on the board. We'll see!

I know I am not the greatest writer and I enjoy what I like, not everyone likes the same things I do, but I hope people can give me feedback on my Wings of Freedom story so I can improve. I would also like to ask for people who would like to be part of the story to join and pm me what their character is like and so on as I would love to have additions. Just please keep the people of Rhydin away for now, this is far from Ryhdin so their appearance makes little sense unless they teleport or such.

Legna

In Slave Breaking it's at the point that the story is able to branch. Right now Legna can go one of two ways and I need actual posting assistance to follow either or line. Also means a change in POV fluidly but that can be covered when the shift happens to encompass more people hopefully.

I'm not expecting a huge turn out for the story....Uh request. But I would like to have a female character introduced soon. I'm male, don't play female well, so I have to request assistance on it sadly.

Regardless I hope it's enjoyed and though....Four posts of grotesque injury is overkill I promise it will sooner or later get onward with the story. Leave feed back and such if you have any or drop me a PM, I check it often. Enjoy the story!

Wulf Canavar

OOC: So, I've been super busy, and my plan to have wolves come out on every full moon sputtered and went out. Which is really crummy since the first full moon in January was actaully CALLED Wolf Moon! And the second one was the Super Blue Blood Moon. Man, those would have been perfect. Aw well. There's be lots of full moons to work with, and I'm in no rush now. It actually makes it easier now that the cycle's been broken I'm able to take the time I need to plan things out right.

But I realized that an explanation is in order, and so I've worked it into the story.

The short answer is that Wulf was imprisoned on both of those nights, in order to keep people alive. And I mean literally, in a cage. and in chains.

Hi there,

I see that a lot of people read the posts. Do people give feedback or comments to the writers?

This "Gwen of Weifar, Choose Your Adventure" is a bit different format than most. I'd be interested in feedback.

I wanted to take a moment to thank Lucy, Sal, Cane, James, Daniel, Over and Roni (amongst others) for the spontaneous (and often hilarious) RP last night in the RDI. Lucy was an especially good sport suffering through The Empath's zaniness.

Dare I say it reminded me of "old times" with cooperative play and all easy-going enjoyment.

Thank you for putting up with Eless (and me)!
