Shauna stared at the poster in utter amazement. Well, that was one way to discover that one of your big sisters you hadn't seen for three years was alive and well and living in the exact same weird alternate dimension you'd ended up in. And nominated for May Queen!

"She must've changed a bit since I seen her," Shauna laughed to herself, making a note of where to vote.

Family is family, after all. And wouldn't it be a hoot to see wild child Niamh voted in as May Queen"

Chuckling to herself, she moved off down the road, her mind filled with remembrances. Of when she was a child, and Niamh was the one who always teased her, yet was always the first to deal with the bullies who tried to join in. Of entering her teenage years, when Niamh had had her heart broken and changed so dramatically from slightly rebellious, to a full on wild flame of a girl. Of the last time she had seen her next sister up, the week after their mother's funeral.

It had been a hard time, that. Aoife had broken down completely. Niamh had turned inward, but still kept up her difficult ways. And Shauna ....well, she'd just had to get away. She'd taken her savings, packed up her belongings, and run away from the home she'd grown up in, off to Dublin to make something of herself.

It hadn't worked, of course, and it had been as she was coming home three years later, that some freak accident had catapulted her into RhyDin.
