Lyren stepped out into the cold night with her cloak draped over her shoulders. Her emerald eyes gaze around for a moment before she licks her lips slightly....the thirst. It controlled her and she hated it. The silver casing was taken from her boot and she pulled out a little red liquid filled capsul and placed it in her mouth. She didn't want something to wash it down with she simply bit into it and gods did it taste so sweet to her.

It was a concentrate almost....all the nutrients that are in human blood that she needs put into a pill so she doesn't feed off of humans so much. She needed doners....a place where she can always get blood when she needed it. She could live off of the pills forever but it took a lot to make it and they only held her off for a few hours at a time. She had to take them often unlike when she fed off of someone and could go days or even weeks without another drop.

Her tongue ring clicked off of her teeth as she walked the streets observing the world around her. This place was so alive....she thrived on the night life of course.

She had gone out in the day....which she could do as long as her skin wasn't exposed to the sun for long....that was always a pain. The sun hurt her eyes as well it burned with fury and when her skin was touched by its rays it felt like she was boiling alive.

The cool night air rushed into her lungs....she could live like this for a while. A long while. The night was familiar and the smell of the city reminded her of her home...

She loved the feeling of how the cold air felt on her face as she was running through the glen. That human male had been so nice to her....it was odd for her to come across such a nice one. His vampiress of a sister was very warm as well. They were definetly different then who she was used to.

She entered the city and stopped in a dark alley where a woman stood. Her eyes turned emerald for a moment as she approched her from behind. A hand was brought up in an innocent wave and the woman turned on her heels to face the vampiress.

Apparently they met at least once before. The woman offered her a smile and the vampiress gave a smile as well. The woman approched the vampiress and extended her arm out to her and Lyren smiled once more. "Don't worry I will make this as painless as possible m'lady." Was said in her long since fallen accent.

The wrist was brought up and Lyren took her pinky nail across it, cutting the skin open. The woman didn't wince at all as Lyren put her vial under the wound and let the blood drip into it. Once it was full she did it with another one before licking the wound on the woman's wrist. It healed and the woman smiled.

"If you ever need me for anything let me know." Lyren said to the woman and she nodded. "Of course I will. I am glad to have met a friend like you."

Lyren couldn't help but smile at the word 'friend'. The deed was done and she had to go elsewhere for now before the sun came up.

"Likewise." Was said to her before she turned and took off in another dead run into the city.

She was walking through the city that night with no real pourpose to go anywhere or to do anything really. Her silver eyes peered from underneeth her hair as she glanced around to the empty streets....the humans were asleep.

Vampires....earlier that night one had said that since she fed off of the humans she was even more disgusting than they....Why did she turn into a vampire. She thought of this and then remembered....Marcus had. Her teeth were gritted in anger as her thoughts drifted to him....so she shook him off.

This was not the night to be thinking on such things. Maybe later when she tells that nice human boy....just maybe.

In her room she laid down....waiting for the sun to peek up to show its light in the midst of all the darkness that is the night. When was the last time she had been out in the sun without having to cover every inch of skin, hiding it from the rays of the star.

Her blankets laid under her and she turned to her side which caused the robe she wore to open over her leg....she thought of Markus, Alexander, and Dorian....

Markus was the slaver she fell in love with, Alexander was lover she had through the wars and Dorian was her best friend. The four men throughout her life who had the most impact. Her eyes scanned the dark room slowly as she now thought of the sweetheart of a human boy.

Brandon....He was quite the dancer, but he was human. He slept when she was most active and was awake when she slept. Shaking her head she rolled onto her back and stared up at the ceiling. "Forget it Lyren..."

And from there eyes eyes shut as she slowly drifted to sleep.

She awoke that night in exactly what she fell asleep in. It had been her red and black plaid dress with a pair of black pumps. Her cloak was wrapped around her shoulders. Her head turned to the window and it was almost sunrise. She blinked several times before rubbing her eyes. She had slept some of the day, and all night.

Her hands reached up to touch a necklace she was wearing....the moon pendent on the chain around her neck. A smile crept across her delicate face. She had thought that what happened was a dream. The human boy gave her the necklace and kissed her while sitting in this very room.

She continued smiling before rolling over to face away from the window....how was it going to work anyways" He is human, a mortal. He will die eventually of course after growing old. She was a vampire....one who fed off of the blood of humans. Who lived forever....who was young forever.

Could it work"
