Crimson blazed across the sky as the sun rose, setting a few sailors on edge. Many had forgotten about the legend, the horrors from the past.

Red sky in morning. Sailors take warning.

Edmund clutched the wheel of his fishing trawler, the Silver Shoal. His pride and joy. He'd saved up the money himself. Fishing had been profitable, and today was to be like any other.

Though the sky blazed like the color of wildfire. Ignoring warning from a few old salts, the Silver Shoal pulled out from the docks.

The waters seemed calm as she sailed along, until Edmund found what he thought to be the perfect spot. Setting anchor, he drew out his fishing rod, baiting it with a small minnow.

Casting his line, now all he had to do was wait...

Beneath the waters, a hunter lurked, the dark dragon had reclaimed her territory, though she hadn't hunted in what felt like forever. Water started rippling as there was a tug on the man's line.

He must have caught something big, he started reeling the rod, letting it go slack so his catch might not break the line.

Closer it came, and he'd let it fight to try and wear itself out. The pole going slack again, then the boat lurched, tipping to the side. Edmund's eyes went wide as he clutched the side of the vessel, once calm waters soon starting to churn as if a storm were brewing.

Yet there were no storm clouds in the sky. Foregoing his fishing rod, fingers dug into the vessel's side, trying to hold tight as it bobbed wildly like a child's toy.

Soon the monster would surface, black scaled neck breaking the surface. Green eyes studied the boat, and it's captain, then jaws parted as she snapped. Edmund screamed as jaws caught hold of his arm, digging into the flesh and starting to crush the bones. The monster, the legend was real. If he'd only had heeded it..

The man continued to scream as he soon was drug under, bubbles rising to the surface. The ship's side riddled by three claw marks, and blood splatter.
