(Lost To Time)

Bob had seen a great and many things in his time in this world, but he did not belong here, he did not belong with the living creatures and their emotional world of pointless directions and words. He had tried to do so many things and make friends and work on his emotional responses to people but they would never workout in the end. Somebody would always attempt to destroy his plans and his words for no reason what so ever, then they would always wonder why they would be attacked.

Then there was His brother who had almost killed him, he should have accepted that final bout of death when he had the chance to do it, but the selfless actions of another saved him, he would thank her for that, but what words would there have been?

All of his enemies could rejoice in the fact they finally would have their victory they had always dreamed of, but now they would have to find a new purpose in their lives, maybe they would become footnotes of history and fade away forever, maybe this was his fate too after all of these countless years of destruction and death, perhaps he would just fade from memory too, he could only hope for that one last favor.

Bob picked a spot near Rosie's memorial and he folded his arms over his chest and encased himself inside of a opaque crystalline structure that looked much like an obelisk that was black and plain, and that was that.

The one only known as Bob was gone.

"Victorious warriors win first and then go to war, while defeated warriors go to war first and then seek to win. There's a fine line between genius and insanity. I have erased this line. There are new words now that excuse everybody. Give me the good old days of heroes and villains. the people you can bravo or hiss. There was a truth to them that all the slick credulity of today cannot touch. When the character of a being is not clear to you, look at their friends. If you wish to know what a creature is, place them in authority."——Bob

This was engraved on the front of the obelisk for all to read as they passed it by on their way to see somebody else.

The Captain-Commabder Yamamoto had a strange feeling when a Ryoka came speaking of such a strange being. But it was ordered to be protected at all costs.Three squads were posted. The 6 th Division under Byakuya. THe 11th under Kenpachi Zaraki and the 4th under Retsu Unohana.None of the three liked it but orders were orders. And they werent dumb enough to say no to Yamamoto. Each of the squads gathered and set up.Byakuya went off to see if Ishigo had been sighted.Kenpachi would be incharge. There would be no garuntee anyone comming would survive if he went earnest in battle.

He sat there with his tea in hand.He glanced at everyone as they ddi different things.Kenpachi Zaraki and all his strangeness was going around asking others what was the point of being here when there were more important things like finding Ichigo.Personaly Renji agreed cause Ichigo was one of very few that beet him. And he hated losing especially to a Ryoka.Renji went off for a little while to practice with Zabimaru.Ever since he arrived in the real world he hadnt been able to use his Bankai at all.His powers were dim compared to the Soul Society. After a few hours he looked to Kenpachi then to the others. It was strange so many Shinigami in one place and not a Hollow anywhere to give them some fun.So they just resorted to sparing.Everyone in the 6th division spared the 4th and 11th stayed out of it.

Yami walked into the cemetery with a face of disbelief. Bob was gone....her sapphire eyes glanced about until she saw the casket with what he had written on it. This was it. A single rose with a note attactched in her hand she bit her lip. Not a tear forming in her eye but she simply put the rose and the letter onto the casing before she walked away after letting a hand brush it.

The letter said what followed.

"I doubt you will ever read this, but I can never thank you enough for what you did for me. I owe you my life....you have made it easier for me to walk on through Rhy'Din with my head held high. I will miss you being around to have tea and chit chat about morons in the early morning. But I will never forget you....in case I never see you again. I hope to see you again someday. Your friend...Yami."

After disposing of the weak and useless guardians of Bob's tomb with just a few waves of her hands and a couple bursts of her own energy she would walk up to the tomb in relative silence dressed in black, and actually sad.

It had taken a fair amount of will power to come here, and it was showing on her face if one would have been there to see it.

"Well dad, this is how it ends for you, for now anyway I suppose. The idiots of the world have no place in it. They are all brain dead and useless. You could see this much better than me. I still hate this world but now I do not have anywhere to go. Why did you leave me here?"

There was a fair amount of silence and she placed her hand on the obelisk, there was no reaction to it at all.

"The morons of the world are now winning the battle and we need you to fight them off. I can do it on my own but my methods are, well as you can see much more violent and destructive than yours are. Being subtle was never my strong point."

She looked around at the carnage and cleaned it up with a single thought.

"I will see you again Dad, someday."

With that she walked away and faded into the coming night seamlessly.

Enough was enough. Even after he had entombed himself trouble and death still followed him where ever he decided to rest. Theron would have no more of this tragic story and he would write his brother's hopefully final chapter.

He summoned his powers and for the last time he opened up that dimensional portal and used a rather simple method of imprisonment this time. The black tomb would simply remain in a lifeless realm now and hopefully it would stay there for a very long time, but to make sure he would not be pressured or blamed for this action again, he decided to step into the portal as well and he would become his brother's keeper for as long as he could.

He took one last look into Rhydin as the portal closed behind him, leaving nothing behind.

Theron

The burning portal opened, the mysterious thing in Green stepped out of it and the old obelisk reappeared where it had stood before all those years ago.

There were still old dragon scales littered around the area, the last remaining proof that anyone had been foolish enough to try and stand guard here. Kalis-nar’s men never left this spot. What a waste of life, but he supposed the God King cared little and even he was gone now. Oh, this place was full of memories. Not all of them good.

“Brother, how’s it going"” Theron said, his voice was swallowed up by the dead air around him, he reached out and pulled the vines off, they crumbled into a fine black dust, blowing away in the light southern breeze.

“I went to the Inn, you know what I found there, nothing but dusty shelves and bottles and empty chairs,” Theron said and a chair formed, he sat in it. “It has been over ten years since I had even stepped foot in this realm and everything you predicted, everything you worked for came to pass,” Theron said with a bitterness in his voice. “The curse you laid on the land took hold. You must be so proud,” he replied to himself. Then his eyes moved to the inscription on the tomb.

If you wish to know what a creature is, place them in authority—-Bob,” he read out loud, each word had a deeper meaning, Theron knew it.

“The old days of heroes and villains, you knew. You always knew that without evil, this place would die. When the mages managed to push you out for the last time. You knew that they had sealed their own fates, you let them win,” Theron thought to himself out loud and almost laughed. Rhydin’s greatest supervillain had the last laugh after all.

“I took the grand tour. The Inn is dead and cold, but I managed to find something. Ravensheart academy is nothing more than a gate that leads to nowhere. The southern glen is a dead place. Alana’s treehouse had been abandoned for ages. The Westend, it should be a smoking crater by now, but again, without evil or good, its nothing more than a ghost town,” Theron said as he shifted his rapidly multicolored shifting eyes away from the obelisk.

“Cadence and Yami are gone, so is Jadey, remember her" I think she turned into one of those Ravenlocks that used to be everywhere. I didn’t see a grave here but, in this place, who knows what happened to them. Rose, Sandrine, all the others are gone, the Bonny Corp is a gravestone. The Frostbite Inn disappeared, Mistress D along with it. No trace remains. Club Apocalypse and Mister E are gone too. Was this really what you wanted for this world?” Theron asked. The wind blew a tiny bit but the full dark and starless night sky made no change. Not even the nexus was visible anymore.

“As Rhydin dies, I wanted to come back to where it started one last time. I need to remind myself that you can be stopped. You will go into a thousand new worlds and I will be there to rally any forces of light I can to make sure that this never happens to another universe again if I can help it,” Theron said and almost got angry, but kept the emotion in check and stepped forward, his finger began to burn with power. He began to carve a message into the black stone.

“This world may be just as dead as you always wanted it, Bob, but your last remaining marker on this world will let any who still live know they failed, if any still remember. I doubt anyone does,” he said and pulled his hand back. The message on the obelisk cooled in the stale, dead air.

“Goodbye, Rhydin, but you should know. There are other worlds than these. This multiverse is one of countless multiverses. While this one has died, there will always be another, I will do my best to make sure they live on,” Theron said.

He pulled out an old black bottle of Bloodwine from his coat, the last one he could find at the Red Dragon Inn, but for all he knew it could have been dish soap. It reminded him of the time Bob actually drank a bottle of the stuff just to mock the perpetual alcoholics of the Inn’s past.

He opened it, the familiar hiss brought back memories of a better time, if not more violent. He took a swig of it, the bitter taste was one he hadn’t tasted in ages. Then he poured the same amount on the ground. “For the ones you hurt, and for the world you killed,” Theron said, closed the bottle and set it at the base of the obelisk. “Maybe someone will get more use out of this than I will,” he said with a sad tone.

With one last look around, he imagined everything how it used to be, all the faces and stepped backwards, disappearing leaving the green chair behind. If it stayed there for the rest of time or was stolen by one of the last living people of this Rhydin, he’d never know.

The carved message that was left by the stranger for all to see just under the inscription the Abyss had left, that curse.

‘Bob Lives’ was scrawled into the stone.
