Kitsune

Kitsune strolled into the cemetary one last time, stopping in front of the empty grave. "Ki-chan...you were the stronger of the both of us...What happened to you? I prmise you that I will find the one that took your life away and avenge your death.." She could feel a salty watery substance brimming over the lids of her eyes, her cousin was dead now and there was no bringing her back. Her body was no where to be found, all she knew was that what had been left of her was no more than a pile of ash. Pr-cremated as some may call it... The grave read: "Kibi Sarawatari Ayumi, a woman who efore surrendering her soul to the blackness that is immorality never knew how to stop smiling...she gave us so much hope and asked for so little in return." Finally, she turned and headed out of the graveyard in hopes of finding out what may have happened to that cousin of her's.

Iris entered the graveyard, kneeling before Kibi's grave, she didn't know why she had come here...she felt the need to yell at her for dying...that sounded nice and som she opened her mouth to speak. "I never knew you, yet everyone blames me for your death..I didn't ask for this...What is so special about you anyways" Everyone loves you and misses you, you kow I have maybe one or two friends and no one could care lesss if i existed..How do so many people know you? What kind of name is Kibi anyways" You know as much as I found out about you and your death, we sound nothing alike for sharing the same soul...Smiling and hope..." Give me a break...no one does that. Life isn't all rainbows and smile and butterflies. It's pain and suffering, that's all ther is to it...People live and they die...so why won't anyone let you go' You can't be that great..." She could have gone on for the longest tim, telling her how stupid she was to have killed herself with her own spell...she just rose to her feet and walked away. she never wanted to hear Kibi's name again...

Ryo found himself wandering in the cemetery in the dead of night. Why am I here? He wondered to himself. His crimson gaze went over the names of random people as he passed their graves, not recognizing any of them. Then he stopped in his tracks, for he had spotted a name that he did in fact recognize. He turned to face the grave and started walking towards it. He stood before the memorial stone of Kibi, standing there with a wistful expression.

"Hey, Kibi," he said to the gravestone, "I'm sorry I haven't been here to talk to you before now. I really don't have an excuse for it, either. Anyway, I just wanted to tell you I'm doing alright and even though I still miss you, I'm getting through each day. Ty's still insane and Deidara said she wasn't going to show up anymore, so that's good..."

After his little ramble, he just stood at the grave, staring at the stone. In some aspects he couldn't believe she was dead, yet in others, he completely forgot about his first love. He was actually greatful in a way for her death. It had taught him to let go of things and move on. While she was alive he sure wasn't able to do that. For all the years he had been alive, he sure hadn't grown up. He was still a child in many ways, he knew that. And sometimes it made him hate himself. But that didn't change that fact, so he just stopped caring.

It was a long time, or at least it seemed like a long time, before he finally sighed, "Kibi, I really hope you've returned to normal. Sayonara," with that, he turned around and started to leave the cemetery.

Iris leaned against the iron gate, watching Ryo closely as she could. She had been to visit the grave countless times and had never once seen the demon there. She observed him in silence as he began to leave, she wondered if he would acknowledge her presence or simply just take his leave. Either way, she could care less but then she opened her mouth and began to talk in a mixture of two voices. "You know," the dual tones rushed past her lips. One of the two was soft and came out like velvet and the other was dark and eerie and may have even sent a chill up his spine. "Kibi can't return to normal if she's dead, are you that foolish to realize it?"

He stopped and turned to the voice(s) he had heard, "You don't believe in the afterlife, Iris?" His face not showing much emotion at all as he asked this question.

"Not really, no," she answered admittedly.

"Then I can't answer that question," with that, he started walking towards the gate again.

She watched him walk away, she would see the demon around later. It was something that couldn't be helped.

Now was the day he had to agree with what everyone around him said. He was a complete idiot. There was no reason to come back here. Kibi was dead, that was certain. And he'd already moved on, right' Right. So, why was he here again?

He seriously needed to stop doing pointless things. All this did was make him think of how his life grew more and more messed up after she died. "Stop it," he told himself. Never in his life had he wanted to come back here, all it did was make him sad. But yet, he was here. Again. He sighed, staring at the tombstone.

"Kibi Saratwatari Ayumi, a woman who before surrendering her soul to the blackness that is immortality never knew how to stop smiling....She gave us so much hope and asked for so little in return."

He read that over and over again. Damn it. He did NOT want to be here, it hurt his head. But yet, he moved closer to the grave, kneeling down next to it and running his hands over the tombstone. He missed her so much, she'd been the only thing that kept him happy. Yet he, in his utter foolishness, let her slip away.

Right now he hated himself, but then again, how was that different from any other day' He sighed, laying down and curling up into a ball. He closed his eyes, wanting to sleep, since somehow he couldn't leave this place. He just hoped she wouldn't follow him into his dreams...

Ty visited the cemetary for the first time. If it were some other occasion, he'd probably be a bit more cheery. But he was here for something more serious than usual. He glanced around the gravestones. Reading the ones he passed with a blank expression, until he reached one. He sat down, staring at the gravestone that read "Kibi Sarawatari Ayumi". After a long silence, he spoke. Face, saddening. "I didn't know you too well, nor do I remember you too well, miss Ayumi....But I....Felt I should pay my respects. Hn, hard to believe anyone could stand Ryo like you could. You were in love with him, as I've been told. You must've been something special..." He chuckled, was he rambling now? He pulled from under his wings a boquet of fresh purple flowers, laying them in front of the gravestone. Then bowing slightly, and uttering some sort of prayer, and he stood, eyes closed. "You're still missed, Kibi. May your soul find peace, and the next life, be better. Goodbye, Kibi." With that, he turned, and moved from the grave, navigating his way back to the entrance of the cemetary, where he'd stop and look to the sky. A tear actually running down his face, as he looked ahead of himself again, and started walking again, leaving.
