About Rumor Has it is a new cocktail lounge opening up....well. Now the odd thing about Rumor is it never seems to be in the same place twice. Nor is it open every night. While the location is always changing, the interior is always the same.
Rumor isn't a large place, with only enough seating for maybe a dozen or so people. Whatever door happens to lead into the lounge opens to a short flight of stairs descending into the main room. Along the walls are plush benches with a few small, easily moved, round hassocks for drinks or feet.
Directly across from the door is the half-moon bar with only seven stools and enough space where drink-seekers might belly up without crowding the seated flies. The stool furthest to the left has a permanent “reserved” sign and for some reason Kal’s Spot carved into the back.
The bar is stocked with just about everything the discerning drinker might want. The coolers are filled not only with beer, soda, and juices, but fresh fruit and herbs for custom cocktails.
This lounge is suited for those looking for somewhere to sit back and relax. The lights are kept dim, but with pools of light in spots for those looking to read, write, whatever. The music is kept soft, usually jazz or classical.
Drink Menu Rumor boasts an ever-changing menu to take advantage of seasonal flavors, but has a few standards.
Daisy Fay 1.5 oz Silver Rum .75 oz Lemon Juice .75 oz Lavender-infused Honey Syrup .5 oz Luxardo Amaretto 1 oz soda water
Gin Garden 1 oz Gin 1/2 oz Elderflower Liqueur 1/4 Cucumber - sliced, reserve 2 for garnish 1/2 oz Apple Juice
Brandy Old Fashioned 2 oz brandy 2 dashes Angostura bitters 0.25 oz simple syrup Orange slice Maraschino cherry
Food Menu While food isn't the highlight of Rumor's offerings, there were always be a little something simple to nosh on. Meat, cheese, crackers. Ever changing offering.
The Man Behind the Bar Owner and bartender Eric Sanders is the mastermind behind Rumor. At this time he is the only one slinging drinks.
Want in" Keep your eyes and ears open. You never know where you'll find an invitation.

Rumor Has It is to be a semi-regular live event that will be (hopefully) hosted once or twice a month. This will be hosted on RDI only.
Every open night there will be a post for that evening's menu, instructions on how to get in, and of course people will be free to post Polyvores.
Why another bar? To shake things up, have a different environment, but one people can work with. Because sometimes the inn gets a little hectic and it's good to have somewhere else to go.
Some ground rules: First, this is intended to be a violence-free setting. Drama happens. Keep your bar fights elsewhere. Second, this is an actual bar setting, so no kids allowed. Eric isn't going to go around checking IDs or anything, but he won't serve anyone under the age of eighteen.
