"I have a task for you Raymera."

The woman lifted her eyes from where she knelt in faithful obedience in front of the lady that she had only ever known as Mistress.

"Yes, My Lady?"

The Mistress leaned forward, the motion only known by the soft whisper of silk against the fabric of the chair the Mistress reposed in.

"There is one....who has strayed from us." "Strayed, My Lady?" "Yes. He is very much like you ....a Sacred Sinner."

Gold eyes widened at that as her head bowed swiftly, unwilling to reveal the emotion that gathered there in her eyes at the knowledge of finding another like herself....and more so....helping them.

"Anything, My Lady."

"He was not born into this damnation as you, Raymera....he was brought into it." "Reborn?" "Something like that."

Another touch was found, a caress that could be as sweet as it could be cruel.

She whimpered at the touch as she closed her eyes. Raymera did not need to open her eyes to know of the proximity of the Mistress to her.

The whisper caressed her ear as an order meant to be obeyed.

"Find him, Raymera. Help him find the way." "Yes, My Lady."

A rising when she felt the permission granted. Coming to her feet she turned away as she was dismisssed.

Fingers curled to the pendant worn at her throat as she moved to take her leave and head to her orders.

Only when she was far from the Mistress' quarters would her face fall into the mask of worry and concern.

After all....how could she help him find the way, when she hardly knew the way herself"
