Their fractured fairytale.

Octopus canny arms of water sprayed ink-dark night across wave crests and miles of blue and white ocean; spent on a shoreline. "Sister"!"Lerida cried, rising in waist deep waters, yet somehow still alley light and brick and draught existed indivisably. Like themselves. Matrimony of skin and solace and bone and treasure.

Clinging, bone ankles locked against the small of her back, whitetwig hands splayed against the back of Leri's head, she leans back, lipless mouth open. "sisterloversiblingdarling"

Leri brushed nose against phantom facial architecture and romance and then fell, knees raw to the shore. She began to sob, frantic joy, and rolled onto her back so that Julia may straddle her. Her hands fell out to the side as she shut her eyes tightly. Tara's droning tuning fork the parameter between this world and that. All she could taste was suffocating air. It filled lungs quicker than water.

Saltwave and seaweedwrack, spume and the whispered voices of clam and cuttlefish, water floods over bone and into flesh, form in its current, desire its very tides, bone fingers sweet as starfish stroke and taste, lipless teeth with teeth caught between, the consummation between them in this waking dream, unseen and unseeable, fantasy come calling with opiates and lust.

The Enchantress, visibly moved, skin scorned by the journey and the affirmation, her legs spread wide as she was filled in a Lover's bouillon as she kicked and gasped for water and ivy to tear the thorns from the cloak of her heart and make cherry-red stethoscope drums of her livid flesh. "Desire....You were the sea! You held me"she rolled again, to sweetly sit upon her Sister and Skull and pepper her cheeks in kisses and her arms of perfect thin, hugs and cuddles and snuggles that were reserved for the special ones. Magic wore a differet coat here. She looked down at Julia's toes. "Where are the scales"!". Hot, hot tears scaled her cheeks and she sobbed again, choking on the haunted and mirthful breeze that sighed as a latent partner lamenting the heart he'll never have again. "I am dizzy!". Her heart was racing, Family-sweet now.

Around bones and flesh, phantom kelp draws them together, beneath Julia, splayed hipbones lift and pulse, bonehand quick and clever between chases ecstacy until it stumbles and is captured, mouth biting words on whatever it can touch, waist and dress, thigh and sisterarm. Her voice a seagull scream, cast upon salt wind, blown to shreds.

"We drown and fly, sister, sister, what glorious kinship is this!"

Swollen satin pocket lining divulged its shy silver secret into the foam. Lerida caught it before it was stolen with the retreating sea, and in her hulking too-wet coat hugged her sister tight. Very softly her mouth expored the words, "Did I dream you Feather?"a smile past the tears. Or was that seaspray' "You the Bird and I the Sea's Maid!", skirts bled together in wet-heavy tangles as that same kelp filled their hair and stars fell in violet pricks from the sky to stick out from elbow as urchin did heel. "You terrify me, and I you, don't I?"she asked. The scream tore at her ear drums and they beat with the livid beat too. Blues spun on the tip of a chandelier moon that grew moist and marine blue the closer it grew to their sprawled, wave-tossed, shredded vocals and souls.

Laying there, Julia is a limp toss of pik-up-stix in her lean against her sister. "Have we awakened" must we" shall we only stay awake until sleep can take us again?"

Disfigured shells and eyeless fish surrounded them. Upon a crag stood the outlines of black crosses lining the gritty horizon. "I fear they are onto us. Stars can be liars and traitors and thieves. For our hearts, Sister, let's go back!", Lerida implied, gravely, as she lifted up and one knee followed the other from the mounting, as she shook her rose red twists free of jetsam and then bent to reach out for her sister. "I only touched my hair first because...You looked so peaceful lying there...". The raging torrent of stars and seaspray was relentless.

Feather light she is lifted, pink cotton clings drum-tight across the sweet span of her hipbones. "Take me then, your wet upon every inch of me like a thin flesh. I live within your love, my bones soft with saltsea lick and flow", Julia urged.

Lerida. Stark. Black were her lips and without pallor her skin. She stood covered in salt and discovery. "You restore and revive me, Julia Here. You Are I", She blinked and was emotional. The vibes and contagious waves ladling faith and sisterhood and mysticism into their foot prints.

Cool fingers wrapped about bone wrist.

"Shall we back within, trailing periwinkles and herringspawn?"

Lerida replied, with failing pitch that lent her voice a shrill and soulful funk. "Only forwards, My sibling", she insisted subdued. Exhileration like heli-spins in her eyes. Boxes of gold frying with wonder::

Bones lank and liquid next to her, somehow muscled as an eel, twig hand surrendered, Julia crooned. "Lead then, sister"

The Mermaid and the Enchantress belonged as One. As did Sisters of Bone and Flesh. Those same cool fingers relinquished their curl and pointed into arrow-spinning myth. She leant in and kissed her Julia's cheek; hot air to bone. To fuel their flight and wave-tread. A crashing and pounding of sand by furious moon urging water's to hide them. But they were too quick. They were gone.
