RhyDin Action 5 News Team

Cheesy dinky music played in the background as the smiling faces of the newcasters flashed about the screen, a blonde male with clear blue eyes smiling in a slightly creepy way, a brunette female who looked a little ditzy, and finally a blonde elven female beaming radiantly from the screen.

"RhyDin's news now! Special Edition." the announcer boomed as the camera panned to the blonde female.

"Hello, I'm Connie Winsbane with RhyDin Action Five at five. We take you away from our regular scheduled news program to bring you a special edition," the elf said while tucking a strand of blonde hair behind a pointed ear.

The camera turned slightly to the left side, to show a small picture appearing in the corner of the screen. It showed a ghostly face with X's for eyes. Under the picture read, "Dead in RhyDin".

Connie began again, "It has been brought to our attention that this weekend one of RhyDin's most beloved (or love to hate) citizens of RhyDin may have died right in the Red Dragon Inn. After getting confirmed reports, we are now here to tell you that Jade Steele is little more than a pile of ashes."

Turning now to the right side, a larger picture of Jade Rogue appeared in the corner of the screen with the name 'Jade Steele' under it.

"Mass speculations surround this death. Some call it murder. Others call it foul play. And even more call it a publicity stunt. But there is no doubt about the ash remains on the inn's own floor when her body burst into flames. More on this later in the programming."

"Now," The camera panned out a little, still showing the picture of Jade's smiling face in the corner of the screen, "Let's remember this lovely lady for who she was. Born..." She squinted at the papers then looked up again to the camera, "February sixth....sometime in the eighteen hundreds, the vampiress was coming up on her two hundred and ninth birthday....or so. She came from a little town on Earth called Bon Temps, Louisiana. Jadden Elinore Ravenlock Rogue Steele came to RhyDin in late 2006. She became wildly known here for her looks, personality, muffins, and more than likely - antics. Our own Marc Franco has put more than a few posts about her in his little blog."

She paused, nodded, then started speaking once more, "Well, until resently. It would have made a year on the Twenty-first of this month that Jade and Dakota Steele were married, but sadly, it is now ended by the death. Death due them part. Jade had also been given a gift of a child over two years ago, Claira Ann Rogue Steele. The young half vampire child grows at a quick rate, and she is that of a nine year old now. Jade's history in RhyDin is profound, and she even ran for governor in the last election."

"Onto our knowledge about her tragic death. Sources say that some witnesses to the death are actually going in for psychological treatment. From our sources reports, our master artists have come up with these pictures of the incident. Viewer discretion is advised."

"Horrendous. I can barely look at those pictures myself. How did such a thing happen? We have found that Jade and her husband, Dakota, were fighting prior to her death. Some are calling for murder charges to be brought to him, but there is no proof. Sources saw him stab a small box before Jade burst into flames; never touching Jade herself. Others are calling a one Tara Rynieyn for questioning. She has seemed to have started the whole argument between the couple. Either way, Jade is now a pile of grey ashes and people are asking why."

A clip of a man in a cop uniform began to play. The man began to talk, "We're looking into this crime as much as possible, but without much evidence against anyone - we don't have many questions to ask that might lead us to answers."

The clip stopped and Connie reappeared, "The RhyDin task force says they are doing all they can. Like they do in all of RhyDin's deaths, which isn't much. Answers seem to be far off. In the mean time, Jade is proceeded by her husband, daughter, and every adopted sibling in the Ravenlock clan whose names are too extensive to repeat. As for now we sign off, but come here for all new reports on this case. For RhyDin Action Five, I'm Connie Winsbane. Goodnight and stay safe."
