To say she was not from around here was a vast understatement. Then again she seemed to blend in. It was quite easy in this land of Rhy"Din. Her home was different from this place. Her homelands the sun always burned and you were always thirsty. The sand beneath your feet felt as it if were aflame. She was"Unique. Different from the people in her village. At an early age she discovered her gift. But she was not the first. Each generation in her village there was always one who could create and manipulate the fire. She was taught by her elders how to control herself. She used her abilities to protect and help the village grow. That was until she met the captain.
Leda had lived a very secluded and sheltered life. She had never seen anyone like him. And he either had never seen anyone like her or he was impressed with her skills either way. So, they made a deal. She could accompany him on his adventures if she would teach her skills to him. It was a challenge. For her this gift came naturally. How would she teach someone who had no knowledge or natural ability' Surprisingly she found herself saying yes.
She loved her life and her people but had always found herself wanting more. The villagers understood. They knew you could not contain a fire. They knew it must burn freely. Assuring her they would be just fine as another would be born in her place. It was the way of her people.
For the first time in her life she was afraid. She knew there was a whole big world out there that was waiting for her. But she didn't know what it contained. She didn't know what adventures and dangers awaited her. At the same time though it was very exciting. And so with her heart pounding she traveled with her captain to board the ship and come to Rhy?Din. And so she found herself here where new adventures would begin for the tiny fire mage.
