After months of hiding in a hole the Devi's had decided to come out. Lina sighed with relief as she entered the manor. It was cold and dark yet it was home. The servants who had stayed behind slowly came out of their hiding places and cried in delight upon seeing that their Mistress was safe. Soon everything fell into place as she gave orders for meals to be cooked and rooms to be made ready. For she knew it wouldn't be long until her other family members would arrive. She walked up those familar stairs and into her room. Once there she fell onto her bed and started to weep. Tears of happiness for returning home.

The ever wickedly seductive smile creased his face as he walked into the Manor. Chuckling sinisterly as he swayed from the main room downstairs to the darkness he loved and adored. Distantly he heard his twin sister crying upstairs. He frowned a bit. He would go see what was the matter in a few moments. But first...First he had to make sure that those damned servants didn't touch his things. He had experiments that needed finishing and spells that needed to be cast. Seeing that everything was in place he moved upstairs and silent as death he entered his sister's room. He sat down on the bed and patted her back, "Now, now dear sister. There is no need for tears. What is troubling you?"

His voice was as soothing as he could make it. Which he had to work hard at. Considering he was used to seducing women instead of comforting them.

Alright. So she wasn't as quiet as her aunt and uncle but she was soooo happy to be home! She giggled happily as she skipped into the manor. Wearing her usual outfit of vinyl and packing heat like always. After waving to the servants and finding out when dinner would be ready she skipped on up into her room. Her room was next to her aunt Lina's and she heard her aunt and uncle. Shrugging she shut the door and stripped down to her skivvies and changed into her favorite robe. She liked to be comfortable. She laid down on the bed and figured she would take a nap before dinner.

A sigh escaped her thin cracked lips. The ever present cigarette between her lips. A pair of shades hiding her sapphire hues from the world. She pushed open the door. Backpack slung over her back. Sketchbook tucked under her arm. She left the door open knowing that her sister Deirdre would be walking in at any moment. She took a drag off of her cigarette. Clicking her barbell against her teeth as she made her way to the room. She already knew the only family members were here. The two main ones. Eh...That was okay. She just hoped her room had gone unmolested. Once she had entered her room and seeing everything was fine she put her things away. She sighed as she sat down at her easel. Taking another drag off of her cigarette as she got her paints ready in order to begin painting once more. It was good to be home.

Indeed she did walk in right after her sister Kyla. A similar sigh escaping her lips. She too wore shades to cover her onyx hues. She walked the same path as her sister but moved to her own room. It was painted all black. Just like her soul. Seeing that everything was fine. And greatly satisfied that her stash of Vodka hadn't been messed with she tossed her shades onto the nightstand and collapsed onto the bed. Black eyes fluttering shut as she sought to nap now. There was always later for dinner, booze, and more writing.

Well there had been one good thing from being Khoss' royal consort. She had gained the power to be able to withstand sunlight and not burn to death. The sun no longer held power over her. Walking in the air of her own vampiric power she swayed into the manor. Letting out a huge sigh of relief. She was glad to be home. A safe haven for her and her son. However...She had heard rumors that Khoss had emerged again. Would she go through her plan of trying to destroy him' Maybe. But she knew she couldn't do it alone. She knew that Bob would help her. Also the little necromancer Dalia she might find an ally in. They had a few things in common. Both were necromancers, vampires, and both had been thrown out by Khoss. But for right now she would concentrate on helping her son control his powers. He was by far more powerful than her and that is what she had hoped would happen.

He came in right behind his mother. Icy blue hues looking about. He was sad to learn his lover had disappeared but he had a home to come to. And this is where he belonged. He also missed his mother. Dearly. He moved about the manor checking in on everyone and finally coming to his mother's room. Sighing he would knock softly. Knowing she'd hear him. A pale pink tear going down his face. But he wouldn't cry. He knew she would see it as weak. He would be happy to see her. But he wouldn't cry.

Upon sensing her brother's prescence she threw her arms around him. Soon her shoulders stopped shaking as did her sobbing, "I'm so happy."

She whispered as she looked into her brother's eyes. Eyes that were the same as her's. She wiped her tears away as a huge sigh of relief escaped her lips, "We don't have to hide anymore. We don't have to live in fear. We can be a family again."

She smiled a loving smile to her brother as she hugged him, "Now...Go and get dressed for dinner. And let everyone know that they are to be dressed as well and that they cannot sneak off to skip dinner. The first night in this house and we will have dinner together as a family."

After kissing her brother on the cheek she ushered him out. Walking over to her wardrobe she began to rummage through her clothes pondering on what she wanted to wear.

He held his sister as she wept. Running his fingers through her hair. Whispering soothing things into her ear. Once he saw that smile he himself smiled at her. He nodded to what she had said. After kissing her on the forehead he stood up in one graceful motion. Being the gentleman he was he bowed at the waist to his sister before leaving the room.

On the way back to his own room he would knock on each of the bedroom door's and relay the message that dinner would soon be prepared and that it was useless to try and sneak off. Since they had been living together his and his sister's powers had increased significantly. Though she herself rarely showed her true self he flaunted it.

Though it was true his powers were darker in origin they still held perfect balance within the manor. He motioned a servant over and ordered for a fresh young girl to be brought up to his quarters. There was still time for dinner yet. Just enough time for him to work on his experiments a bit.

He disappeared into the darkness of his room. Strange arcane words along with piercing screams of pain and moans of pleasure could be heard. Yes, Aki was home to stay. Soon everything would be ready and it wouldn't take much to persuade his sister to aid him.

She was dreaming peacefully whenever she heard a sharp rap on the door. She sat up. Reaching under her pillow she grasped her dagger. Carefully hiding it within the sleeve of her robe she opened the door a crack to see who it was.

She let out a breath she didn't know she was holding when she saw it was her uncle. She heard his message and nodded. Yes, she would be there. No, she wouldn't sneak off. Yes, she would dress nice for dinner.

Once her uncle departed she shut the door and tossed the dagger onto the bed. Shrugging out of the robe she wandered over to her closet and pulled out a simple outfit.

A pair of black pants, black boots, and a red backless halter top. All she had to do was mess with her hair, add a dab of make-up, and presto! She would be ready. Of course she would slide some daggers and a gun into the special made pockets in the pants.

She always went prepared for death. Even if it was in her own home. She never felt safe. Never.

Lost in her own little world. A cigarette between her lips. Painting away. Could anything be more perfect' Then...An irritating knock at the door. Groaning in frustration she set down her paints and opened the door.

Hearing the message from Aki she assured him she would be there. After bluntly telling him to leave her alone he left. She leaned against the door. Her mood now gone.

Cursing to herself she got dressed. A black lacy hiphugging ankle length skirt, a silky dark blue poet's shirt, and a pair of black and blue Vans to match. Her hair in a ponytail. And she was ready to go. Hey, who said she couldn't dress up"

Then...A thought occured to her. What would her sister wear" Chuckling to herself she lit another cigarette and exited her room. Seeing Aki already moving away from her sister's door she waltzed into Dei's room. Sitting down in the black leather plush chair she eyed her sister, "So...What are you gonna wear?"

She asked quirking a brow in curiousity to her sister.

Cigarette burning between her lips. Bottle of Vodka next to her. Writing down her soul in a notebook. Then...The mood was shattered when she heard a banging on her door. Muttering curses she yanked the door open to see Aki standing there.

She smiled in satisfaction when she saw him back up a few steps. After hearing about dinner she promptly flipped him off and slammed the door in his face.

Snuffing out her cigarette she took a long sip of Vodka when she saw her sister come in. Choking on her drink when she saw the get-up her sister was wearing.

Hearing her sister's question she rolled her eyes, "Well I'm sure as Hell not wearing that."

She muttered as she grabbed some clothes. A pair of black pants, black boots, and a long-sleeved black shirt. All she wore was black. This was about as dressed up as she was getting. Stealing her sister's cigarette she took a drag, "Well now that we're all dressed up and ready to go...You wanna head down to the dining room before everyone else?"

She asked as she looked her sister up and down. She was slightly upset that her sister was the prettier one but they had their own talents and were unique in their own ways. Even though she'd never say nor show it she loved her sister to death.

She was going about her room. Making sure everything was in its place. Kneeling at her makeshift altar. An altar dedicated to one of the gods of death. She closed her eyes as dark whispered prayer fell from her lips.

Glad that she had found an ally in Dalia. She had left her address in Dalia's shop. Hoping the girl would contact her soon.

Her thoughts were broken when she heard knocking on the door. She cracked it open to see Aki. She heard what he said and said she would be there. After closing the door she heard yet another knock.

Not knowing what it could be she opened it to see her son. She pretended to pay no mind to the tear she saw as he walked into the room. She embraced her son and assured him everything would be alright.

That the devils of the past were burning in Hell and there was a bright future for all of them.

He spotted Aki on his way over here. He told him that him and his mother would join them soon. He watched Aki move away and knew that the time would come when his mother couldn't train him anymore and he would be Aki's pupil.

He uttered a yelp of surprise when his mother pulled him into the room and embraced him. He didn't weep but let his mother know how happy he was. He was also happy to learn that his mother had gained an ally in this Dalia person.

Though it wasn't promised his mother said she would try to see if Dalia would teach him what she knows. He was always eager to learn more. He sat down by his mother and they chatted as they had dressed.

Yes, dinner as a family. It was almost too good to be true.
