Orc, one hears that name, and thinks of brutish, cruel, flesh-eating, foul beasts that revel in bloodshed and war, tearing their enemies spines out, and placing the heads of their vanquished foe upon a pike.

And you would be right to assume this of Khuur'Naug, WarKing of the BloodClaw Horde, a force of some 30,000 Orcs, Ogres, Trolls, Giants and even Humans. A fiercer, meaner, darker Orc you could not find, a true believer in the spreading of his races' dominion of the world. And all for the glory of the Orc Gods, in particular Gruumsh, the Great One-Eyed Creator of all Orcs.

Khuur'Naug was leading his forces against a stronghold of men, elves and dwarves, and they had overran the outer defenses, killing males, women and children alike, without mercy. Khuur'Naug himself, who relished battle was facing no less then 10 armed soldiers, all elves.

There was nothing he hated more then Elves, and loved killing their kind above all. The great Warking swung his mighty double-axe, a weapon they say was forged by the hand of Gruumsh himself. Dripping acid, burning with hot fire and freezing with ice, the WarKing fought his opponents, tearing into them. Their screams as his laid them low, echoed. The rage he gave into, inspired his horde and spurred them on.

But then it happened all of the sudden a great rift in space and time opened above the WarKing, a sudden rush of air, and up he went, Khuur'Naug grabbing on tight to his mighty weapon, cursing in Orcish about some foul Elf trickery, was flung far from his world. To Rhydin...

At first the Orc was disoriented, and thought maybe he was in other part of Faerun as he gazed into the night sky and saw a group of dragons fly overhead. But then the dawn came, and he saw not a yellow sun, but a blood red sun. This he took as an omen, prehaps of good fortune, and sought out a mystic or shaman, and orc or ogre would have been good.

But as he came into the city of Rhydin, he gazed upon a hideous sight, that made even his stomach turn, the sight of so many elves and dwarves. This he could not abide, turning a corner in disgust he saw two young elf males, maybe in their early adulthood, standing arround and mock the Warking's apearance, and that set him off. He promptly without so much as a second thought, and before the elves realized, Khuur'Naug had taken their heads off, with a swipe of his great double-axe.

After relieving the elves of their coinage, which was fairly substanial, the Orc, just leaving the bodies to rot, asked a few merchants in the market where to find a seer or shaman, orc if possible. And after a matter of time, the Orc Warking found what he wanted, and old, half-blind and quite mad orc female, said to be in touch with the Orc Gods and very realible.

When her fee was paid of two gold crowns, the old orc seer spoke the fortune of the Warking, telling him that Gruumsh had brought the Warking to this land full of Elves and Dwarves, to bring death and pain to the hated races, and to lead the way for a great orc kingdom to arise from the blood and ashes of the Elves and Dwarves.

Thus as Khuur'Naug left the hut of the old orc woman, he became then and there, the Doom of Elves and Dwarves...
