He stepped into what he had heard referred to as the "Marketplace". To him it seemed nothing more than a group of poorly made fruit stands staffed by the scum of the city. He sneered at the shopkeepers and patrons alike as he made his way through the winding path. Reaching the end, he saw an overhang that created the perfect shadows for him, and he settled in to wait for an appropriate contact.

Joruus was not good at waiting. Soon he began to toy with the people in the market. Using his skills in mind control, it was a simple matter to insert himself into these beings. He smiled to himself as shopkeepers began giving items away for free, buyers sometimes unknowingly paid 4 times the value for something, and there were fights breaking out everywhere. Why did he do this" Because it was entertaining of course. Night soon began to fall however, and his targets became scarce. Until she walked into the area.

She walked down the path, looking at the market stalls at were still open for business. He watched her carefully, unobtrusively scanning her mind for potential. After a short time, he find a glimmer of hope within her, and decided to make contact. Speaking only into her mind, he asked for her name. She made no obvious sound, only stopped and looked for the source of the mental invasion. He waited a moment before asking again, this time adding some malice to the question, and this time she answered him. Her name was Bita. He stepped from the shadows to speak to his new friend in person.

Soon he learned that she actually already had a master, though she would not reveal his name. Was this someone who he would have to contend with later" Would he get in the way of the Empire Reborn" The man would have to be found, his mind picked for any information that could be gathered. If he was enslaving the women of this world, could it be that he may actually be an ally in this" Advising Bita to think about her priorities, he disappeared from the market, returning to his place of hiding to continue watching the citizens of this city, plotting how best to turn them all to his needs.

There was indeed much to be done on this planet.

Coincidence enough that he was presant in the market, when he felt a presance both familiar and dark at the same time. It was powerful, and it was Dark Side. He searched out the market with both his senses and his dark auburn eyes searching for the origin of the dark side.

It stepped from the shadows, and began speaking with a girl he was unfamiliar with. The dark chill of his own aura swirled around him a moment, as he folded his arms behind him. A unique experiance to find another like minded. However, experiance also taught him that there was something else going on with this one, and more than likely, it would get in his way.

It would be most prudent to put his agents on the tail of this being, perhaps even on of the undead ones. His own plans had come too far to be stopped or interfeared with. The black uniformed figure turned and left the market a moment later. One last appointment at church to attend to.

He had landed the Reach outside the city, in a hiding place he had found upon his first visit to this semi-primitive place. He likes it here - the town reminds him of a simpler time in his own life when, unlike the past ten years or so, he had never felt the need to move on. When life was peaceful.

It's only an illusion - he knows that beneath the small-town exterior there are secrets and threats here as dark as any he could find on Coruscant or any other technologically advanced world. He's even met a couple.

He's walking into the marketplace, perhaps his favorite part of the town aside from the Red Dragon Inn, dressed in his usual dark grey hooded robe, when he feels it.

The Dark Side.

Over the years of training under so many other Force disciplines, he has come to realize that the Force is not divided into black or white, Light or Dark, but rather thinks of it as a rainbow, a kaleidescope of color. In between what the Masters of the Order had thought of as Light and Dark were so many shades of grey it would be impossible to count them all.

Despite this somewhat rare perception, however, he does acknowledge that there is definitely a Dark Side, a side of the Force that feeds on anger, hate, revenge, fear.

He should know - he's felt it, even succumbed to it, if only for a moment.

He draws back to the shadows of the marketplace, waiting, watching for this threat. It's close...he can feel that much.

He doesn't wait long - and just as the threat makes itself visible, he can feel another.

He's been on Pharos Station for a few days only, and yet already evil runs rampant here. He sighs to himself, wrapping his prescence up in the Force using a Fallanassi technique he learned a long time ago, cloaking his prescence to the others he's sensed here.

Patience, and observe, he tells himself.
