Lamia

Lamia, walked through the marketplace with a frown on her face soft face. Golden hair fall about her shoulders and bounced with her walking motions. Thpose skin tight, black leathers she wore that showed far too much cleavage to hide the fact that a bra wasn't worn and pants that were skin tight and flowed like a second skin over her body as she walked. It was not an angry look, that was settled on those fair features but one of deep, deep thought.

Her Master had charged her with finding him and her sisters a place to live while they were in this city. It was not easy to find the right place, and what made it worse, everyone was depending on her to do well. She couldn't let them down, no. She wouldn't let them down, so holding her head high, Lamia walked the city of Rhy'din, drawing looks at her, lets face it, skimpy clothing and searched for a building that would suit their needs.

It needed to be big. It would not only be home, but an embassy for their kingdom that was now locked in turmoil. But it would need to be out of the way....Yes, somewhere out of the way. But where would be suitable for such a place...?

Hm...Home...Once, when things were more stable back home, they'd lived near a large forest...Lamia looked north. In the direction of a place called Bristol Crios. It was situated near a forest, and she'd passed a few estate agents that advertised having a few manors out that way...Hm. Lamia peered at a window of one of these estates agents, looking at the picture of one such manor with a contemplative frown...This...Well, it might just do. Maybe. She would continue to consider it, thinking and sighed...She needed an opinion, from one of her sisters before she took it before their King and Master.

Shali

Amidst her exploration of the city, Shali found herself wandering once again. Pondering. At the forefront of her mind were her worries of what would become of herself, her sisters, and their King. This land was so...foreign. Unfamiliar and unwelcoming. And to the best of her understanding home was falling to shambles without the guidance of Cugedheil. Her ever wise King. Yes, if anyone could right things, he could.

A small smile played on her lips while she continued on her way, the private thoughts brightening her mood substantially. Without realizing it, she found herself in close to proximity to one of her sisters. Shali stopped dead in her tracks and tilted her head, closing the swirling golden pools that were her eyes while she concentrated on just who might be nearby. Don't get her wrong, she loved all of her sisters. Quite a bit, in fact. But she would be lying if she said she didn't have her favorites.

Once things clicked, that small smile became a grin and soon she had a lock on her sister's general location. As she neared, mirth and mischief shown brightly on her expression and she paused a moment to consider her approach. Slipping out of the rather loudly click-clacking stilettos, she looped the straps around her fingers and continued silently as she slunk her way behind Lamia. Blowing a warm breath of air along her sister's neck, she smirked before the sibilant purr of her words was heard.

"Penny for your thoughts, sweetling?"

Bending over, continuing to peer through the window, Lamia was totally oblivious to her sister's approach. Frowning in concentration, absorbed in her own world, Lamia jumped when she felt the breath of warm air on her neck and squeaked while a shiver ran down her spine. A good shiver.

Peeking over her shoulder as Shali spoke, Lamia smiled at her 'Sister'. She tried as best as she could to not have a favourite, she loved all her sisters with a deep affection. But sometimes she wanted nothing more than to curl up with Shali. She smiled, and replied softly in a vice as soft and smooth as the silks Nsrira wore,

"Mmm, just doing as our Master requested, looking for a new home for as all" She peered at the shop window again, and sighed, slightly annoyed. "It is...Slow going...And annoying."

Looking over her shoulder once more at Shali, Lamia indicated to the pictures she had been looking at. "What do you think?"

Shali was unable to contain the smirk that spread across her lips. Oh how she loved toying with her sisters. A mirthful giggle bubbled forth despite her best efforts to not laugh at Lamia's surprise. Fingertips unable to keep from caressing her sister's hair, she gently twirled the golden strands around her fingertips. For a moment, she occupied herself with that endeavor, quite content to enjoy the feeling of the silken tresses.

Canting her head to one side as her attention was pulled by the pictures. Tipping her head to the left. Tipping her head to the right. Then bending down to peer at them more closely. A finger tapped at her lips, evaluating and contemplating.

"Hmm." She murmured while she looked them over. It could work. In fact, it could work quite well. Tracing her fingers over the glass, she pondered for what seemed like a long moment before straightening up and unfurling her wings. With a longer minute taken as she continued to contemplate before fluttering a few inches off of the ground. Bouncing up and down without ever touching the ground, she grinned a grin of Cheshire Cat proportions at her so very lovely sister. Though she actually preferred walking, it seemed suiting to fly this time around. A day of fun with Lamia, seeking out their new homes.

"There's only one way to find out, my dear. Let's go look at it!" There was only a hint of mischief in that tone, just a touch.

All of her sisters, with out fail, seemed to love toying with her hair. Not that Lamia minded. In act, she quite liked the sensation of feeling fingers running through her hair. She tilted her head slightly, into those caressing fingertips.

Lamia would watch Shali's movements with a smile. Watching her sister examine those pictures, and of course taking note as she bent over. It was just one of those things the Fae Demon couldn't resist. Flicking her golden hair back with one hand, Lamia's head tilted to one side when Shali starting bobbing up and down a few inches from the ground and returned the grin in equal measure, letting her own wings unfurl from behind her back and fluttered, bringing her up a few inches until she was level with Shali.

"Well" What are we waiting for then"!" Lamia asked, giggling and leaned over in mid air to brush a kiss against Shali's cheek.

The two Demon Fae hovered, if only for a few moments, before they were off. Zipping over shops and homes, though Shali always preferred to walk, she couldn't deny the efficiency of flying. Hurriedly, they made their way toward the empty estate that had been advertised. Landing gently in front of it, Shali slipped back into her heels and set her hands on her hips. Tipping golden hues toward the manor, she canted her head to one side and lightly nodded.

"It isn't home...but this may do..." She said aside to Lamia before click-clacking her way up the front driveway of the stately home. Of course, she hadn't thought about the fact that they might, just might, need a realtor or something to let them in to see the house. Such things were trivial really in the grand scope. Bouncing her way up to the front door, she went to open it and found it locked. Light blonde brows knitted together in both frustration and confusion and she stepped back to peer up at the looming house. She huffed. As if that might open it up for her. It worked for the big bad wolf hadn't it' She had no magic with which to work and there was nothing around that might hide a key.

"How, sister, do we get in?" Swirling pools of molten gold scanned the front of the house, her teeth holding her lower lip like a vice grip. An unlocked window perhaps" She set about trying them, one by one, working her way around the lower level to no avail. Oh, but the upside of being a Demon Fae, you see...those wings. Almost frail looking and like gossamer to the touch, they came in handy on occasions like this. Soon, her wings spread and she lifted up from the front porch, setting about testing the upstairs windows. One by one. Until!

"Lamia! Lamia! This way!" She fluttered and flitted gracefully, quite proud of herself. It wasn't really breaking and entering if it was unlocked, right?

Flitting over the head of others along side her sister, Lamia giggled happily, snatches of her laughter being caught by poor people who had to walk in those crowds below. Following her sister closely, she soon landed beside Shali, peering up at the large building, then the forests that surrounded it.

"It is pretty though..." Lamia replied softly, then watched her sister as she click, clacked her way towards the front door. She watched Shali try to get in, and smiled, before peering around the area. Looking towards the tall wings of the manor, then to the woodland surrounding them and the winding path that went back towards the city's marketplace. Really, this was perfect.

"I think we need to talk to someone before we go in..." She replied off handedly to her sister, not paying attention as Shali started trying windows...Until, that is, she called. She looked up at Shali, and spread her own wings, fluttering upwards until she was level and bit her bit in worry. It was clear Shali was pleased with herself at finding a way in, and Lamia hated to put an end to such a display of joy in her sister, but....Well, it was debatable, unlocked or not, whether the Watch would decide not to chase them down and arrest them.

"Shali...I think we need to wait and ask someone to show us around..?" There wasn't much conviction in her voice thought...Shali looked so excited and frankly, Lamia wanted to go in and have a look see too.

"It certainly isn't home though." She murmured haughtily. It would do for the time being. At the end of the day, beggars couldn't be choosers. Her sister's words went right over her head. Because, really, who needed to be let in when you could do it yourself" Pretty little fingers unlatched the window and shoved it upwards, waiting for her sister to join her. Really, if it came down to it, they had wings and the Watch did not. It's not like she intended to steal or break anything, she simply had to sate her curiosity and look around.

"They needn't know, sweetling. It shall be our little secret." Shali's index finger came up to her lips in a shh gesture even as a Cheshire smile spread widely across her face. Without further ado, she slid her lithe form through the open window, bare feet touching down on rich mahogany flooring . Her toes curled against the wood, wiggling like one might in sand. Getting a feel for the place. One step, then two steps, then three and she was moving further and further into the room. It seemed like it was one of the smaller bedrooms, an office perhaps.

"Shall we explore?" Glancing over her shoulder, she flashed a coy smile at Lamia. She could hardly contain her excitement, pleased with herself for having found entrance into the grand manor. With a hopping-skipping step, she continued further into the house. Padding from room to room, golden eyes ablaze with wonder and curiosity, intense and scrutinizing. In her mind, no house would ever be a grand enough home for her King, but this...this may very well do. The master bedroom was found and she stood in the doorway, her hands resting on the swell of her hips.

"We may need to knock out a wall or two to make this one bigger...but, sister, I do believe we've found it."

She never expected her words to affect Shali. In the end, Lamia was a follower, not a leader. She liked it that way anyway. And besides...That Cheshire smile, she knew it. Seen it before So following Shali's lead, Lamia, she slipped in side the building.

Apprehensive though she was, Lamia stood besides her sister and looked about the room they were within, turning her head, smiling widely and excited. "You like it?" Her voice, and her face...Oh, she was so desperate to please! To hear congratulations from Shali, she needed and wanted it before bringing their Master here and trusted Shali's judgement and honesty implicitly.
