The Nexus was home and maker to many and all things. Nothing could say that all powerful entity hadn't contributed to it's creation in some vague way. Few things however, had been directly born from the Nexus itself, but a select group of races could rightfully claim the Nexus as their one and only creator. The Djinn races, from the Genie to the Efreeti, the astral entities that were all but immortal, and the Djinafriti, came first. It started with an astral realm, an ethereal plane of existence in which several powerful beings were brought to life.

There was Kalazgaduha, the first of the Afrit, then there was Zulekdroma , the founding father of the Genie, and Arkasathalum, the original Efreeti. The three were gods amongst the gods. The power of the pantheons paled in comparison to the three powerful beings, the Chaotic Trinity. The gods grew wary of this powerful grouping of powerful deities, and put aside, for a time, their differences and rivalries, to cast them down from their seats of power.

Together, the gods still, held not enough power to fully destroy the powerful beings above them. Instead, they could only settle with splitting them apart, from three, to six. Kalazgaduha became Azkeal and Duhazkaga, Zulekdroma became Djulkreik and Korbarak, and Arkasathalum, became Mulkraga and Vilzaga. The six Djinafrit had lost a considerable amount of their power with the splitting of their beings, and from that point onward, worked to recreate the one pure Djinafrit.

Azkeal and Vilzaga gave birth to a child, the Star Sapphire, Saphirja, who'd been born with the radiance of the stars she was crowned as the Jewel of the Heavens, for being the most beautiful being ever to have been seen. She became the goddess over the Flower of Heaven, the ruling figure above all others.

Saphirja soon gave birth to the powerful deity Colraitstyr, whose father was Zuelekdroma, and became the deity of strength, courage, and valor, over the Flower of Heaven, for being the most powerful, and honorable of the deities birthed by the Djinafriti. It was Colraitstyr and Kalazgaduha, who birthed Gueinstyr, the Maiden of Song. A lesser deity, she was still powerful in her own right, and had taken to governing music, to becoming a holy symbol amongst musicians and artists alike, for the arts also fell into her portfolio.

Gueinstyr and Djulkreik brought into creation, Zeerleix, the Dawn Star, who'd later go on to create the Family Afrit, and save a section of the Djinafriti from extinction. Zeerleix, with Colraitstyr, Gueinstyr, and Saphirja, created the Flower of Heaven, a world, Flos Caeli, and with it, seven deities, to rule it alongside Saphirja, the oldest of the birthed Djinafriti.

There was Colaesha, the Father of the Sea, governing the oceans of the world, and all that dwelled within them. Then there was Zeelkreema, the Spine of the Mountains, who governed the earth and stone, who'd taken his vertebrae, and deposited pieces of it about the world, to create the great mountains that stand to this day.

Then there was Vilsyyra, the Goddess of the Moon, Icharios, the God of the Sun, both of whom governed their own respective times of day. Following the Night and Day twins, was Moira, the Earth Mother, who created the Silvaer, and their great forest, Sylvinynii. Afterword came Ortnal, the King of the Sky, who governed all beings that took to the air.

And finally, came Alistor, the Father of Magic, who took the creations of his brothers and sisters, from Zeelkreema's Dwarves, Colaesha's Vohdooshki, Icharios" Feritorva, Vilsyyra's Bestialus, Moira's Silvaer, Ortnals" Dragons, and his own Humans, and breathed life into them, and the world itself. Thus, Flos Caeli had bloomed from the seeds planted by the seven deities, all of whom were governed by the Mother Saphirja.

Zeerleix, Colraitstyr, and Gueinstyr, created the three families of the Djinafriti, the Afrit, the Genie, and the Efreeti. Zeerleix was the father of the Afrit, creating several Afriti who in turned, would birth their own children, thus creating a new race. Similar situations occurred with the other two, Colraitstyr with the Genie, and Gueinstyr with the Efreeti.

Through Zeerleix, Zerxzees was born. Zerxzees was the third son of seven, quite literally the middle child. His brothers and sisters, were only half that, for he had a different mother than the rest of them. Jealastreeya was his mother, an entity from the Elemental Plane of Fire, a goddess even among the Djinafriti. Her time in their realm didn't last though.

He came on a strange night, in their realm. The midnight sky had been washed over with red, as if someone had taken a brush, and swept crimson paint across the heavens. The twelve moons of their realm lined neatly in order, circling about to cast their radiant, red tinted rays, onto the altar that was to be Zerxzees" birthing place, and point of sacrifice. They had meant to sacrifice the child, the moment was born, to the Nexus, and to the greater Djinafriti that ruled above them all, in hopes of purifying their kind, and placing them back on their seats, as the pinnacle of power in the realms.

The child was born, and set on the alter only a few seconds after leaving his mother's womb, and it was there, the crimson man first opened his eyes to the world. Twin optics of flame backed rubies swept about the landscape of the Djinafriti realm, and the massive and beautiful city in which he was born. Unaware of the impending danger, unaware of even, who or what he was at the time, just a newborn, fascinated with whatever was set before him.

The dagger came down, a blade held by his eldest brother, Kailstreejah. The sacrificial blade drove down for the unsuspecting Zerxzees" back, the wicked tip of the blade angled for his spinal column, and before striking, disintegrated. There was a wave of energy that had been set loose, power that was meant to lie dormant until his coming of age. The Djinafriti newborn's power acted of its own accord, protecting it's vessel with the swift ferocity of a protective mother.

All that was left of his brother was ashes and dust; he'd been consumed by the wave of power that even surpassed his own. Zerxzees was born, a half blood unlike the rest of his siblings. The Flames of Fashka mingled with the essence of magic that was his blood, and made a being that would later come to change the world into which he was born.

The sacrifice was called off, after two more attempts to send the newborn into the void, left the Djinafriti with gruesome displays of Zerxzees? untamed power. The first had been burnt to a crisp, the second had literally imploded, and the third, had been torn to shreds, by invisible blades that left entrails clinging to the Romanesque columns around them, bathing their ivory surfaces in crimson ichors.

Zerxzees was born, and his father feared him.
