Halfbreedmarie

Marie was the product of the unwanted union of a fiend who's name was never mentioned and a human woman by the name of Adrianna. The child was born rather quickly after the incident four months instead of the usual nine. The midwife sworn to silence seeing the child was born rather different from other children. Dark black scaled hide, A set of small horns protruding from the sides of her forehead, fangs, claws, and a set of small wings. Growing up was rather rough for the pair especially for the half fiend who was force never to step outside or come inside the house. The basement was where she was kept. Far away from any contact save for her mother who routinely fed her, and provided clothing when needed.

They lived like this for years without trouble until that fateful night when a pair of riders clad in heavy armaments came to the door demanding entry. Seemed that the growing Marie was developing powers that could not be hidden by mundane means. Strange apparitions would frequent the house at night. A foul smell of brimstone would occasionally rise up in the air. Both of them made their way forward into the house. The mother rushing to meet them both. " What is the meaning of this?" She demanded from the pair. " Your harboring a fiend and we are here to find it. Now out of the way woman!" A hard slap send the woman to the floor. Marie, hearing the disturbance moved to the cellar door to peek through the cracks. A growl emanated from her lips upon seeing her mother upon the floor with the two strangers standing over her. Rage made way for commonsense as the preteen half fiend burst through the cellar door to have at her mother's assailants. Claws met with steel and fangs met with flesh. Wildly attacking with no idea of what she was doing. In the struggle lamps were knocked over and the place was soon ablaze. The men figuring the flames and falling debris would slay the beast they made a hearty retreat. As she perused a support beam fell and pinned her. Everything went black.

When she finally came to Marie awoke. The flames and smoke did nothing to her thanks to that demonic heritage. That could not be said for the mother who was now a charred corpse under another pile of rubble. It was just beginning of dawn as she wormed her way out of the wreckage. Her body nude save for a small bit of cloth barely covering between her legs. Arms folded across her chest to hide them, and off into the forest she ran. Tears welling in her eyes at the realization of what had transpired. Everything she knew was gone now. Wandering through the wilderness alone. Stopping every so often to scrounge for anything she could find. Berries and fallen tree nuts were better then nothing. This seemed to continue for day until she finally made it to the other side. In her midst was a large battlefield. Bodies still rotting on the earth. Broken war machines rusted solid or rotted through. Her eyes taking in all the horrible things, but for some reason she was not shocked. Continuing on her way she spied a handful of figures chanting. Their robes were black as night with what looked to be blood splattered over them. In the center of their circle a pig's head with half of its face cut and reshaped to appear demonic. She being the ever curious one and forgetting herself moment began to approach. A skull cracking under her foot gave away her position. The men turned to face the intruder. Her body tensed and claws came up to prepare to defend herself, but they did not attack nor flee.

Enythanrul was the name of the god they were worshiping. Seemed this battle was one of his works. A no win situation they called it with devilish smiles. They led her to a encampment where she met with a rather tall figure. His body covered in charred black armor with that pig demon figurehead engraved on his breastplate. ? Greetings half-fiend. If you wish food first you must earn it' She bit her lip. Desperation had her willing to do anything, and anything Is what she had her do. Four what seemed like an eternity she was taken by that man. Her eyes closed and tears welled in her eyes at the pain. The next morning she was brought food as promised. Weapons training came within the next few days. Her enhanced strength making wielding normally a two handed weapon possible with just one. This of course appealed to the dark knight who decided to give her special equipment for a more nights alone of course along with what ever she took from corpses when going on raids with the rest of the encampment. A large greatsword of blackened steel with green veins running up the length of the blade. The edges were serrated for grievous wounds. Her secondary weapon a morning star made of the same metal. For her armor a simple breastplate specially sculpted for a woman at the ends of brazier cups two spikes as well as on her shoulders. Bracers for her arms and sabons for her shins. Now a force to be reckoned with she would not be going on raids on mere caravans, but on entire villages, and she had the perfect one in mind as her first.

By early morning the town was aflame. Her armor drenched in blood as was that short black hair. The village in question was the one her mother frequented and most likely where those men came from. Though she did not find them the rest would do fine for now. Their bodies strew across the streets in dismembered messes. Her eyes ever searching for the next mission. More blood to slate the hatred she had for the people who betrayed her. For the humiliation she needed to endure to get this far, and most importantly the hatred she possessed for herself.
