Kalis-Nar returned to Rhydin, for him it had been a hundred years. And much had changed, his wife who returned to life after her first death, was dead again, by his own hand. His son and newborn daughter were also dead. Kalis, took a dark turn, he sought to bring more power to his rule. He waged a terrible war, not only upon the sands of Athas, but in the night skies above.

His legions and fleet fought the foul Illithids that were based on the hidden caves of the great planet of Rajaat's moons. He expanded his rule of Athas, by having his troops slaughter thousands of free tribe peoples, and enslave the rest.

His wife and son opposed him and what he done, he killed them and feasted upon their flesh. His little daughter, who had grown into a lovely woman, was also dead. She had led freedom forces against her father, alongside the leader of the Freedom Forces, a young Elven man, named Tiros Cana. This elf had escaped Kalis's grasp, and Kalis was now here on Rhydin, looking for this Elf.

Kalis vowed he would not rest until Tiros was found and brought back to Athas to be executed for his crimes.
