Mai Shiranui

Welcome to the Shiranui Special! With Mai Shiranui! I've been behind the scenes watching the 2013 Hydra Tournament. Sure, it's nothing like the King of Fighters Tournament; but I've seen tons of spectacular fighters that made even me, the Number One in Japan, excited for this competition!

http://www.fightersgeneration.com/characters2/maia.gif Mai Note: It's sad I couldn't join...I should've paid more attention.

As I am Mai Shiranui, the greatest kunoichi of all time (and the lover of all things Andy), I am qualified to tell it as it is for Week 2 of this competition!

The Top Three of Week Two

The 5-0 Domination

So many this week! Fighters are stepping up their game to get those points! Even if Swords was the preferred sport of Week 2, we saw many Shut Outs in Fists and Magic as well.

The Shut Out Award goes to....Claire Farron! 5-0'ing Aja Bird, UltraV, and Ray Bradford!

The "Better Luck Next Week" Award goes to...Khoom! After getting shut out three times in Week 2 of Hydra...maybe his luck will take a turn for the better in Week 3"

Challenge for Battlefield Park — Matthew Simon .vs. Nayun

Things may have looked grim for Matt when Nayun caught his thrust to bring the match to sudden death...but Old and Busted beat out New Hotness this time around! Playing the odds, the Old Guy caught Nayun's high swing to end the match in his favor! I should note this is his fifth defense! This fight was Non-Hydra, but this kunoichi wonders if Mr. Matt will waive his grace period for more points" Team Hydra sure needs them!

http://www.fightersgeneration.com/characters2/maiw.gif Mai Note: Get a new shtick, girl! No one is as Ninja as Mai Shiranui!

Challenge for New Haven — Jake .vs. Joku The battle of the J's! First time Baron Joku vs First time Barony Challenger Jake! Jake "The Man" Thrash dominated both fights early on and and got himself a shiny ring, new digs, and some Hydra points for his team! For a first time challenger, Jake sure handled his business like a pro!

I have a mocca latte waiting for me! Here's hoping week three turns out as fun-filled as week two! http://www.fightersgeneration.com/np8/char/kof13/dialouge-faces/MaiFace4.png Sayonara!

Welcome to Challenger Center with Chun-li! While Mai "So Called Number One" Shiranui was busy lapping up last weeks leftovers. I've been hiding away in the shadows to watch Week Three: Day One of the Hydra Tournament!

http://www.fightersgeneration.com/characters/chunw.gif Chin-Li Note: Move over Mai. It's time for the Strongest Woman In The World to take over.

Monday Highlights

1: Payback is a...Watch your tongue! Claire was the Queen of Shut-Out's last week, but the start of Week 3 had her losing her crown to a girl named...Queen. Well, isn't that poetic. 5-0 in 5 rounds. Queen may not be apart of a Hydra Team, but hopefully she raised a few eyebrows. Coaches should try and grab Little Miss Royalty up as soon as possible! This is only the first day of Week Three so I'm hoping to see many more Shut Outs!

http://www.fightersgeneration.com/characters/chune.gif Chun-Li Note: Queen. I hope you stay out of the World Warrior Tournament, or else you'll be the one losing your crown when you come face to face with my lightning legs.

2: Opals. Opals Everywhere — Rakeesh .vs. Jake / Vinny .vs. Candy Hart Both fights were short and sweet. Not even dragging it out to the full three. I bet the Caller on duty was pretty happy he got to go home early. Jake continued his win-streak from last week by defeating FireStars holder Rakeesh in two straight duels. Someone give that kitty some catnip! Jake now has a new Opal to go along with his New New Haven victory. Everything is looking up Jake! But for how long"

Candy Hart of Team Beat Down wasn't so lucky. Vincent Smith made sure to knock her down and not let her back up. With two quick victories and fifteen points to his team, will Vinny waive his grace or keep things nice and quiet for himself"

As for Beat Down. Lem and Jake seem to be the two power players in this group, and with Andrea "Apple" Anderson coming up to bat today; one can only hope that if she loses all her challenges that Jake and Lem can carry Beat Down to victory. Or will Champions of Mythos and Team Hydra sneak up from behind and stab them in the back" Maybe they should form an alliance"

http://www.fightersgeneration.com/characters/chunw.gif Chun-Li Note: Predictions - Matthew Simon will defend the Tower of Water. We're talking Rank and Experience vs Rookie with Nothing.

3: The Big Three Team Beat Down Champions of Mythos Team Hydra

These are the three teams to watch the remainder of this competition. Hydra is already three weeks in and it seems the point gap is steadily growing bigger and bigger. Unless we see multiple challenge victories and graces being waived, Beat Down may take it.

Uh-oh. I hear the shrill cry of a Shiranui coming around the corner. I better leave.
