"Why haven't I been informed of this"!" The boy was barely twenty but he carried himself like someone twice his age and twice his strength. Brown hair cut short, stylish, as all Hudson men were. A long line of wealthy businessmen, their empire only growing over the last ten generations. Andrew was the newest heir in the dynasty, and even with his father still alive, had come to the head of the company and taken over day-to-day operations, as well as some secret ventures. This was one of those ventures. "Another alien is TOP fucking priority, and you know this." His voice was average toned but didn't sound any less powerful and dangerous.

"Sir, we didn't want to get your hopes up if we were wrong. She crashed just recently, but we couldn't be sure. The first alien didn't land here, as you know." The scientist was either brave or knew Andrew's directness well, and was calm enough to give the information he knew was going to keep him out of the unemployed line, or a ditch, whichever seemed more appropriate to Mr. Hudson.

"You'd better be right. If she's this weak we should have no problem taking her." Andrew chewed on his lip, a bad habit he picked up from a woman he knew. "Just keep the satellite active until we can inject the solution." He was tapping his foot, looking over the information on the computer screen just over another scientists shoulder. It was one of at least a dozen at a bank of computers strung together professionally, in a small bunker built just underneath the Southern Glen of Rhy'Din city.

"Of course sir, your new strategy would have even worked on the first alien, of course hindsight is always 20/20." He didn't smile, or laugh, the scientist that had spoken before. He was a fan of breathing, to be sure.

"Don't make me regret hiring you, Garon." Andrew however did smile, looking to the man with his honey eyes, before back to the screens. "Once she's been injected....deactivate the satellite and she'll be incapacitated. I still fear it may kill her outright." He cleared his throat and again gazed to Garon. "Where is she" Are we in position to activate the satellite?"

Garon leaned over and nearly pushed another man in a lab coat out of his chair. "Bringing satellite HU-34 into position..." several keystrokes were pecked into the terminal, "now." ~<+>~ Rea looked over the mess her ship had left behind and let her lips purse in a fine line. A long growl left her lips, her hand throwing one of the seats across the crater in which it landed. Her hand pushed up through her hair and along her head, a deep breath being drawn in while she roared out. "Gods this is such a mess!" She was trying to salvage what she could, but the ship looked terrible, and if she wanted a way off this planet, this was not it. Her frame paced for a moment before she flopped in a seat and held her head. She was such an idiot for the rout she had taken. Her fault in this matter had only served to get her in trouble, quite a bit of trouble. "Activate the energy beam." There was no smile on Andrew's face. No pleasure he took in injuring, harming, perhaps even killing the Kryptonian he was about to assault. Not to say at all that he was a good man, but it was business. Just good business. Andy leaned over the two scientists closer to him, between them monitoring Rea's position on screen.

"Initiating HU-34. Charging Kryptonite beam." Garon assured his employer, striking keys as he spoke. "Beam already at 75%. It certainly did pay to put the alien crystals in the power system as well. Synthesized or not." Again there was no smile but the one inside of him, and Andy growled.

"Garon you're here to kiss my ass, don't expect me ever to kiss yours. Just fix the fucking toys, and get it all done, that's all I expect out of you, and you know what happens if you don't." There was that smile again, honey colored eyes gleaming even with Garon facing the other direction.

"Yes Mr. Hudson. Beam at 95%." Garon cleared his throat, typing in a few more keystrokes. "And the target seems to have come to a complete stop. Perhaps we won't have any foul-ups this time." He didn't seem worried, but if the desk was wood, he would have knocked on it.

"You can....still call me Andrew. Just don't call me Andy." His lower lip was pulled into his mouth as he thought about the last time he was called Andy. Not so long ago, and only by one person. The girl he couldn't stop thinking about even now. He shook his head, waving off the memory. "100 percent yet' Fire."

"Beam fully charged. Firing now." Garon typed just a few more keys, assuring the targeting, as well as locking the satellite in its geosynchronous orbit. The last key was the command to activate the beam, which would pierce the sky instantly.

A laser of bright neon green as thick as an oak tree radiantly was filling a circle over and around the Kryptonian on the planet below. It would hit the alien with queasiness at first, nausea that lasted several seconds as the energy started to interfere with her cells. The first effect was paralysis, disrupting the electrical impulses between nerve cells. Next it would stop the cells from processing the solar energy they stored, starving them slowly, and if done long enough, killing the host. Andrew and his scientists and soldiers were not looking for that end however, but either way it was going to hurt.

A rough heave left her lips as the green glow over took her. Her hand rose her lips and her frame surged forwards, her knees hitting the ground first. There was a hand lifting to her throat, her eyes phasing in and out of consciousness. Once her knees had gave way her face plummeted to the ground. Pride or fear" Which one was going to win out' A long grunt left her, even if she could cry out, she wasn't sure Van would come. Another grunt, the Kryptonian trying to do what she could to get her strength, her hand reached out, grasping at air, trying to clutch something she could use to protect herself, but nothing was accessible. A long sob. "Van?" Then everything went dark without a clue of what was happening to her.

Andrew shoved a hand to the keys, and zoomed another satellite's viewpoint on the Kryptonian. "She's down....move." He said evenly toned yet fierce. "Mace, Jensen, you know your parts, the rest of you train weapons. Move, move, move." He had already activated the door outside, and ten men were moving for its exit, the stairs lifting from the floor of the bunker, part of its ceiling sliding away.

Above the surface a large boulder in the glen was sliding as well, revealing below a hidden bunker, and ten soldiers dressed in black with rifles that appeared to be military issue. The filed out together, followed by Andrew who had worn an expensive suit, slate in color, carrying a pistol in his hand. He patted his chest with his fist, then touched the small microphone in his ear.

"Garon if I get my ribs broken again, you'll get yours ripped out, understand?" His lips were dry. It had to be the adrenaline flowing now.

Somewhere very far away, a tall man with black hair and alien blue eyes was lifting a train's passenger car from the very edge of a destroyed bridge. Every inch mattered, with many lives inside, he couldn't heft it like any old heavy object, and he pulled it slowly up. Lifting it over his head, his eyes widened when he heard his name called from near the other side of the planet. His face became one of anger, and rage, his eyes burning red with fury and leashed power. He had to remain calm, with the car in hand; he lowered it safely to the ground below, not one second later darting off at untold speeds in the direction of Rea. He somehow knew he wouldn't make it in time.

Soldiers surrounded the Kryptonian after a short run through the Glen toward her ships wreckage. Some of them were cocky, and a few were gung ho, but all followed orders. Andre brought up the rear, but was not lagging behind even in his suit. When he entered the circle of soldiers that surrounded the green one around Rea, he looked more determined than pleased. "Mace, shoot her. Jensen watch out for the other one." He pressed the mic in his ear again. "How far is he" And is the other satellite prepped?"

Garon chirped through the speaker in Andrew's ear. "The first alien is on his way....moving faster than we've seen before while in atmosphere. Satellite may have trouble getting a lock, but the beam can be widened....don't worry sir, Andrew. It's under control."

"That's what I like to hear, Garon." He smiled just as Mace fired the projectile into the Kryptonian's backside, a small dart with a metallic green fluid in its injector capsule. It would break the skin easily under the light of the green beam. "Drop the first beam, Garon." He let go of the microphone. "Ready weapons and prepare to fire if she gets up. Do NOT shoot in the head or yours will be next."

The soldiers took aim, the laser flickered and stopped, and they moved in closer. Rea's cells would begin working immediately, pulling the soltuion that had been injected further into her bloodstream, where it would only start the process over again within a matter of seconds.

A rough scream left her lips, the vibrations surging out from her in her last bid of strength. Her head lifted up, her eyes locking on the sky as pain surged through her backside. "VAN!" Where was he" She had managed to swallow her pride, understand that these were the ones hunting for her or her blood. Her body buckled as she tried to stand, one knee planted as her foot braced her form with the other. Her vicious blue eyes narrowed on the men that surrounded her and she shouted. "COWARDS!" Her voice boomed loudly before suddenly she fell forwards again, too much resistance was being used to counter whatever the vile green substance was that coursed through her veins.

"Ooo-hoo. Fiesty." He said excitedly, his entire form shaking with adrenaline and emotion. "I like it." Andrew trained his pistol, his loaded with different ammunition than the soldiers. Green, crystalline in structure. "Alright, bag her boys. Jensen, Mace, shoot the other one if you can. Let's move it."

The soldiers began to carry her off, four of them took her for easy transport, another four carrying up the front and rear, while Mace and Jensen circled the group looking for Van.

Andrew led the entire group this time, heading back into the bunker when they approached, and speeding to the tunnel in the back. The other soldiers were right behind him, single file now except those carrying the girl. Garon and the other scientists were pleased but quickly went back to monitoring the stations, and preparing for Van. They began to prep both satellites for targeting, and were soon firing them.

The first beam struck him, only for a a moment before his speed had falsified its targeting. It was enough for the second to hit his slowing form, and stay with him as he dropped, nearly a hundred miles but only a few moments away. A crater formed where he landed, and the beam was joined by its partner soon after, and Van began to scream, the fire in his eyes dying out.

MAce was taking up the rear now, and once they were all through the tunnel, he flipped switches, a blast door began to close in front of him. "Sir, extraction complete."

"Good job, Mace." He said intently. "You're my best man." Andrew nodded. Once the door had closed fully, that boulder had slid over the bunker's entrance as well, and charges planted inside went off. Garon and the other scientists wouldn't have a chance to scream. "Let's move! To the lab!"

Thank you Van, Andy for a wonderful scene, let's keep it up. ;)
