Susperia slipped into the rather large house, the mansion was too large for one person. The ammount of space and countless number of rooms was almot overwhelming to her. How could any one person need this much space? She had already informed several members of her family that the place had been passed onto her in her deceased husband's will, they were going to move into it together and raise a family together. A single tear slid down her cheek and fell to the floor, the salty substance hit the ground silently. She hoped that having her siblings and cousins move into this place was a good idea. She would hate herself if she ended up regretting it. She figured that she should have just sold the place, but this was all that was left of her lost love and she would treasure it. She just couldn't bring herself to live in such an enourmous building alone. She would cope though and she had heard that Nepthys had just gotten divorced, her husband having left her for a whore. Perhaps the two would be able to use each other as means of getting over their horrendous mishaps and get closer. she had never actually been close with Nepthys, she had heard that her cousin was like a mother to everyone around her and she was rather close with her siblings and her younger sister. Maybe now was her chance to get to know someone, she was too shy to have done this sort of thing before. she had mentally scolded herself for doing this to herself, living her whole life only talking to one person-and now that person was dead...

Amane walked up the long path to the Grand Mansion, she rapped on the door lightly and waited for her sister to open it and greet her. She raised her hand a second time and lowered her fist against the large oak door. She remembered that their was a duplicate in the hanging flower pot off to the side of the door. Her sneakers squeaked as she reached into the flower pot and retrieved the spare key. The key was inserted into the lock and turned so that she could open it and she made her way inside. Dark browns swept her surroundings, she could see her sister standing not too far away. She seemed to be sulking and somewhat deep in thought. She decided to call her name, "Susperia, I'm here." She removed the key from the lock and returned it to its orginal place before completely entering and shutting the door behind her. The door was bolted shut before making her way to her sister's side, "Are you all right?"

She turned abruptly and wiped the fallen tears that she had shed away from her face and faltered a smile, "I'm fine." She embraced her sister in a hug, "I just have a lot on my mind." She released Amane and took a few steps back to look her over. "You look worn out....you should attempt to get some sleep, I wish you would rest more..."

She narrowed her eyes on Susperia, "I guess it's one crisis after another and I'm still suffering from insomnia....One of the bat tenders gave me some herbs and essence to help assist my dilemma."

"You should test it out and get some sleep," she told her, "How do you expect to meet your deadlines if you're always tired? There are plenty of rooms to stay in, so go ahead and sleep wherever you fell like it..."

All that night, Amane had slept like a bump on a log. Comforter pulled up to her chin, she woke up late in the afternoon. Two days had passed and she was surprised to see Ira at her bedside. She sat upright and smiled faintly before wrapping her arms around her cousin's waist.

He took Piper into his embrace and rubbed her back lightly before pulling away. "I was getting worried, you were out like a light for the longest time....At least you're getting some sleep now..."

"I love you," her voice was merely a whisper as she spoke. "Remember when we were kids? We said we would get married someday." She smiled warm heartedly as she pulled herself closer to him and tightened her arms around him. She leaned her head against his shoulder.

His eyes suddenly widened and he pushed her away and backed up into a wall. "Amane, we were young. We didn't know that it was wrong to marry your cousin....I don't have those feelings for you and when we were young we didn't know what those feelings were. We thought we did, but we didn't. I can't accept your emotions, I'm sorry..." He tried to calm down by balling up his fists and clenching his hands tightly.

"I understand," she turned her head to the side to look away, "I honestly don't know what has gotten into me. I guess you're the closest thing I've ever come close to when it has come to caring about someone." She lowered her head a little to look at the floor below her and her feet dangled over the sides of the bed now, hovering just above a pair of floppy bunny slippers. She would abide by her own advice that she had given Ira's sister: 'No man is worth your tears.' She remembered distinctly saying that to Nepthys and she would not shed any tears for him. Besides, Ira had done nothing wrong. How could he have known that she had cared about him' Her feelings would soon be forgotten, she could forget about something like this. It wasn't that hard to erase something from her memory like that and she was sure that if she spent less time with him then it couldn't be too hard. "You should go," the tone of her voice was dark and held a hint of sadness yet at the same time it was stern and soft spoken.

"I'm sorry," he stated rather bluntly. He turned and reched for the knob on the door to yank the slab of wood open. He almost knocked the door off it's hinges with how hard he had reached for it, he carefully shut the door behind him and walked away. He left her behind, not explaining his reason for his apology. He didn't want to be the one to tell her....it was too awkward. In due time, maybe he would tell her....that he had slipped when she was nearly assassinated by vampire slayers and his foot hit a stray boulder as he tried to dive down from the ledge of the cliff that seemed to loom out below him. The boulder had hit her in the back of the head, she hadn't been seriously hurt, but she had revieved trauma to the brain and was put in a coma-like sleep for three months. Afterwards, she recieved a sudden split in personality. He felt guilty for what he had put her through and in order to keep her sane so that she didn't try and murder anyone and for that he had to kill her with kindness. And now she loved him, that gave him quite a laugh and he chuckled softly.

Ira entered the Manor late that night, a day or so had passed since he had converese with Amane. He had been avoiding her, trying to forget that she had ever told him that she love him. That was crazy....His recent thoughts seemed to be consumed by Rina, he remembered the day he had met her. She had confronted him with a drink and they had began to shoot questions back and forth. They had spent the whole night chatting away and then he had escorted her home. He had gone quite a while without seeing her and had grown disappointed. He had actually be-friended someone outside his own family. When he saw her at the Inn with a lycan, he shrugged the thought away. It was hard for him to strike up a conversation with her when he felt as though someone else was listening in. After Roland had left, he began to flirt with Rina and he couldn't seem to help himself. He remembered he had kissed her and later she had asked him if he was hungry... Does it hurt the person you feed from? Why was that question stuck in her head, he could hear her voice echoing in his ears as he made his way upstairs and into his room. He lay down on the bed. His chest was bare from lending his jacket to her and having taken his silk charcoal colored t-shirt off. He didn't mess with the covers as he lay down to rest. He finally fell asleep, drifting off as his eyelids became heavy and sleep worn.

Arin walked up the pathway to the house, she was more than worn out after making it up to the house. Why did this place have to be out in BFE? She recomposed herself and knocked lightly on the door. No answer, She tried a second time, this time rapping a little lightly. She waited for the sound of footsteps thudding down the stairs and waited impatiently with a hand on her hip as she stood akimbo.

Ira pulled the door ajar and glared at Arin, "What are you doing here?" His tone was dark and by his facial expression, you could tell he was more than a little pissed. "I won't let you see Amane, you weren't interested in her well-being after the accident. I'm sure she won't miss you after you failed to come see her for three years." "I will not permit you to see her."

"I didn't ask to see her....And either way, you are the cause of her problem and are to blame. I have just as much of a right to see my sister as you do. Now move out of my way. And I doubt that the situation has improved since you have been with her. Besides, Seurot hasn't spent any time with her since either and I doubt you would deny him the right to see her."
