With a creak the door opened and the tall man bent down, in a deep bow to the Lady Kairee. The interior of the coach was not in remarkable shape, but it was reminiscent of old world with its torn velvet curtain a swathe of deep red, trimmed seats of velour and tweed beneath from which was seen where the first layer peeled back at its seam, with the faint taste of chandeliers and faded footprints within- Two of the trends that stuck to his skin as he walked all worlds he walked.

"M'Lady", was uttered, his soft spoken mild mannered timid ways in distinct contrast to her own gregarious, flamboyant physicality. He met her emerald gaze before his own dropped to his polished boots, and he stepped aside to take her hand and help her board-she was more than capable, but he too had a role to fulfill to his Lady. The destination, unknown, though he was sure a wild ride was the journey to be. However bumpy, he too was certain that his antique bones and prairie built vessel would see them through. .

Emerald eyes took in the site of the coach both in its physical appearance and mystical. It was not what she was expecting but as she gazed at it with her Sorcerer's Sight' Kairee came to appreciate the subtle yet richly woven magic bound to it. Like the coachman, the steeds also glowed with another worldliness.

This was clearly not your grandfather's coach and four.

Bestowing a warm smile on her coachman, Kairee reaches out to caress Bernie cheek briefly before taking his proffered hand. With her free hand she grasps the strap just inside the door to aid in stepping up and is assaulted by a rush of images and emotions; remnants of the coach's extensive past. Startled and taken aback by the force of the memories and psychic impressions, Kairee is nearly dazed to the point of falling but her defenses and strength of Mind allows her to absorb and manage the influx. A slow shake of her head to clear her mind and with a deep breath, bracing herself psionicaly and mystically, Kairee steps into the carriage and nods to Bernie as she settles into the seat.

"Take me where you will, Bernie, show me your dream world."

Off they went, surging down the cobble stones and out of the city towards a place where there was no ruling of Time, just endlessness, white sand sifting out towards the distance, covered by the eerie wind of a red hue, as the sky an ashen pink creeps across the land. A land dying, and one he was disconnecting from. As Wyheree had shown him, let him open his eyes to the ugly truth he had known all along.

Kairee seemed to posses the aptitude for not just magic, but she seemed sensitive to vibes, an instinctual disposition to the transience of feelings, how they are exuded and manipulated, as she had sensed his own. All dismal eyed and morose, keeping to the shadows, when light stung his eyes...

He looked across the nearing countryside, his heart's beat leveling out, a smile lifting his lips.

Then there it was, that Speaking Tree, like the Speaking Stones, jammed into the earth by tongues of lightning, to be praised and revered, as reflections of the sky, faces of brown from the cloud, a mirror to the other side. The Tree was gnarled and erect, green and reddish tinged bark peeling back. He went for it, then closed his eyes, as the wood crackled of both the coach and the tree, and the Crease absorbed them....

The Dreamwalk was upon them. Here he was King of Nowhere, Man of the Dunes and Ether. Not just some hopalong coach driver, he was of Duty and Esteem, to Protect and to Learn. However, his Bindings of earth, including a young child, Tina, had given him reason enough to himself loose the coat of shadows and ash, to let Brightness hang from his shoulders and uncloud his mind.

The Trappings of his dusty royalty was all Gray, Long, Dark, Geysered and foggy, overcast sheens to his gaze.

Without it, he had Light, Love, Substance.

He looked around them as the Coach disappeared and the Five Steeds gathered in low pitched winnies, stompings and twitched ears. He turned to Kairee, amongst the brisk, pale wind and extended a hand to her.

"Welcome"

He grinned and turned to the expanse of endless white, where the sky hung apainful, scorned, bruised red, and his sly smile mocked its darkness.
