**Entering Rhydin she looked all about. Granted she had just come from another realm...but surely Christmas was celebrated here as well" While the shoppe's did seem full in the Marketplace, there were no decorations in the square. She had hoped to buy a small Christmas tree. She didnt even see anyone selling them. She would go out to the Rhydin Forest herself and cut down a small fir and drag it home. Perhaps making a wreath or two out of it.
She left without any notice. Not that she had any real friends to speak of anyway. She had only recently got here when she had to go back "home". To care for her elderly great-Aunt. Now that she had passed and she had taken care of the few belongings she had, selling them...so she would have some form of security, as her business hadn't taken off. She notices there was a few other seamstress' in towne. Perhaps she should consider another job. Either way she had enough money to live comfortable to live on for awhile.
First course of business was to find another flat. She thought about the Westend, but decided against it. Too far, for a woman in the winter with no horse. No something in Rhydin Proper. As the coach pulled into the main square stopping to let her out, she asked about places to live. If she could, she wished to get a flat with a fireplace, or coal stove at least. He referred her to the newspaper. The Oracle...if anyone would know they would.
He proceeded to unload her baggage and a trunk, letting it down with a thud. She lifted a brow at him. "Sorry M'Lady hopes ya dinna have any thing valuble in thar". Katie stared at him saying nothing. He put out his hand for a tip, as she already paid the fare to Rhydin. She gave him 2 silver. He sort of frowned, till she replied calmly..."Sir perhaps we should open the trunk and check for damages, and if there is any, you would have to pay for it, as the trunk was still in your care, no?" Slapping his cap back on his head, he said not a word, and stomped off mumbling.
Katie was back in Rhydin. This was when she would decide whether or not she would stay for good, or go back to the realm from which she just came. Catching a young boy by the arm she offered to pay him good money to sit ON her bags and watch them, till she returned. He gladly accepted her offer...pushing away the other boys are they too tried to sit on the bags. "SHE ASKED MAE!" Shaking her head, seeing he was doing a good job of it, she walked into the first shoppe she saw.~~
