A few days ago, the moon reached it's full cycle again, and it was truly grand. It rose over the city of RhyDin after nightfall, and gave the streets a cold light. It was the Sap Moon, and also a Blue Moon, having been full twice in the month of March. But the wolves didn't care about that.

Vicious and Jake-Wolf met, finding each other by howls in the night. Then they padded together through the streets, looking for the Alpha, the pack leader. They were looking for Wulf. His Hunger was strongest, and it drove them to hunt and to injure people to gather more pack members. Blackwulf was also strong, and when he was around they followed his lead, looking to him as the Beta. Jake-wolf was still young, and Vicious didn't need to fight for dominance over him like he might if it were Vicious and Blackwulf together.

The two wolves skulked through the streets. On the last full moon they had followed their connection to their Alpha all the way through the streets and had found where he was imprisioned. This time they didn't have to search, and they went straight there.

But their Alpha was gone.

The two wolves milled around outside the building where they knew he had been, but to their howls, whines, and yips there was no answer. There was a long night left though, and they hesitated, uncertain of how to satisfy their Hunger.
