He was juggling a box in one hand, and his keys in the other, looking around and wondering where he'd left his phone. Patting himself down, and looking to see if he'd left it in a shop perhaps.

Patting himself down while juggling two things" Talent! Katja was bundled up, a pashmina around her shoulders and neck. She didn't wear a hat though; she never did. In one hand she had a pretzel that was wrapped in paper. Tearing off pieces, she popped them into her mouth, walking through with a bit of absent thought.

Indeed he was, talented that is, his key hand was more than suitable for the task. The phone was face down in the snow, and he found it, by back tracking long strides to the boutique he had just left. Dropping to a knee he frowned picking it up. Oh wonderful. He was going to have to replace yet another one of these things. The spiderwebbed screen was a dead giveaway.

The peripheral distraction of a man going down drew her attention. Poor lamb. Shattered his screen. Her lips paused in chewing momentarily to shed a thought of pity. But, he dressed well enough. Perhaps such a luxury was a drop in the bucket' Mouth resumed chewing, and her pace resumed stride.

The weather was getting colder and colder which was ever so disappointing to the Keeper. It meant the lack of herbs but moreso the lack of materials she used on a day to day. Leaving Panacea she counted the coins in hand and sighed to herself. Slender fingers tucked the coins into the inner pocket of the cloak she was soon to hug close to her lithe form. A little sound left her soon after when her feet met the cold white fluff of fresh fallen snow. Collecting a bit of the cloak close to self she made a few hopping skips in the snow. Even though her bare feet left slight evidence of her being there it still felt different under her feet. Nothing like the fresh green blades of grass she enjoyed. Still it was fun to play in, no"

Shoving the sodden device into his pocket, he would remember to leave it with David to have it fixed, or replaced. Funny thing about money, you don't end up amassing large sums of it, by being flippant with how it is spent. He eyed the woman with the pretzel and lifted a brow. Box picked back up and he was happily back on his way. Light in his step, barely leaving a mark in the snow, which was pretty strange given his size, perhaps something was afoot there, ha, puns.

Oof! That pun. But she did note via acute hearing that his step was light. A moment more and she had finished her pretzel, balling up the paper and scanning about for a waste bin. Finding one, she made for it and to deposit her used paper. While both of them may be adept at snow, they must not underestimate the snow-sense of one Muscovite. Da, she is of Moscow. Trained in the art of navigating a snowy urban dwelling. Beware.

Kai'd eventually give up and leave the edge of her cloak to nip at the snow while she made her way through the market. Dipping down she'd draw slender fingers through the snow, collecting some as she went. Just enough to make a small snowball in the palm of her slender hands. She was just making it to the circle when she spotted a familiar face and one not so familiar. Slowing in step she'd dip down to collect a little more snow.

She can smell it. The hijinks about to ensue. Given that, she quickened her pace! She would not be in the midst of a snow ball fight! To the others: Bonne chance! Oh as if he didn't know she was there, but he spun that parcel on his index and middle finger pretending he had no idea who was around. Yes, Milosh could play that game all night long. Watching her only through sidelong glances and little glimpses around corners and behind cars. The Keys were jammed into his pocket and he carefully ran his fingers over the snow and smiled to himself. Maybe he even had a little snow in his hand, just maybe!

Oh well the lady was wrong in thinking that Kai was going to throw the snow. Oh no. She was making a cute little snowman in her palm that lacked the essential carrot nose and so forth. A confused look struck across her dainty visage as she watched the woman scramble off then to Milosh. Had he done something to scare the woman off" She started to inch closer and closer still. "Milo-Ooo." she looked up when she heard fireworks. That sound normally meant shiny sky flowers!

He turned quickly and stared up as if the sky was about to fall on both of them. Rushing over to her he snatched her up and shielded her from the sparkles of death, A deep breath taken and he watched the fireworks. Oh, well that was new. He carefully set her down and peered upwards. "That is supposed to be like that yes?" He was on edge clearly. But the more he watched them the more he realized that they were pretty and not entirely dangerous.

Oh my! Incoming Milosh! She blinked up at him when he collected her. Had he never seen fireworks" Only when she was on her feet again did she reach out to take his hand in attempts to ease his mind. Her mini snowman' Was gone now but that was okay! "Fireworks, Milosh. You've never seen them before" They are to celebrate! They sound like guns sometimes though don't they?" She smiled up to him and turned her crystalline gaze to the sky. "People are celebrating the new year."

"Oh! Yes!" He nodded and smiled brightly. "I know all about the new year! I was told about it by a weird little guy, he told me I had to kiss my sweetheart and buy her a gift." A smile and he leaned in and brushed a kiss against her lips. Check. Then he handed the box over to her. With a smile.Double check! He was getting good at this! Her cheeks colored quite bright but she happily accepted the kiss and returned it sweetly so. Mmm yes she liked kisses from hi! She looked to the box then up to him. "I-I didn't know this tradition. I-I don't have anything for you!" She looked positively panicked!

"No apparently I am just supposed to buy you presents every time a holiday comes up. Oh, and valentines day, is sort of massive and a really big ordeal." He nodded and pushed the box towards her a bit more. "Open it. It is just a little something. But I think you will like it!"

She felt bad though for not having something for him. "Y-You don't need to do that though. Really you don't! I am just happy to be with you and u-um-" she blinked up at him. "What is Valentines day?" She turned her eyes down to the box and slowly opened it as he bid. What she found had her eyes rounding wide and a happy lil squee to escape her lips. "Ohmygoshitissopretty!" She dared not take the lovely trinket from the box out in public in fear someone might try to steal it from her. Instead she quickly closed the box back up and threw her arms around Milosh. "I love it!"

He leaned and whispered. "It is a super important holiday when men spoil their partners and they shower them with gifts and candy and romantic dates. Oh and sex. He said it was super important, although I do not know how all of that works out." Now mind you, he had learned all of this from Mason, who was his super gay, prostitute, brother. He probably should not be taking love advice from a gay hooker, but sure.

She was listening to his whispering up until he said sex. Her face went brilliant red then and there. "O-Oh. Um. Wait what do the women do during this holiday' That doesn't sound right. I mean women are suppose to spoiled their part -" wait he just referred to her as his partner" She nibbled her bottom lip and leaned up to steal a kiss.

"I asked the same question, and I am not telling you what he said, because, it is not for polite conversation." He was taken by surprise when she kissed him and he wrapped an arm around her and picked her up so she wasn't standing in the snow with bare feet anymore. "Maybe we could could get you shoes for valentines day?" He was curious if she would be alright with the idea of shoes.

"I want to know." She mumbled against his lips and when she was picked up she curled up a bit against him. She was likely getting as cold as he was! "Shoes" I -" she tried to look down between them but there was no room. "I've never had shoes before." She'd look up to him. "I don't normally stay outside long on my feet during winter though! I might catch cold and get sniffly and funny looking and have to hide away!"

"Well, I do not know where one goes to get shoes at night...But maybe we could go look?" He was looking around, and luckily, they were in RhyDin, where everything was open always. He carried her to a clothing store and set her down carefully over the thresh hold. There was a lady counting out money and no one else in the shop. By the way, never mention to Milosh that you may be okay with something. Because he's a live in the now kinda man.

She wasn't sure she wanted shoes but he seemed so bothered by it! Her ears dipped a bit and she remaind quiet as he carried her along. The shop was nice and warm so she didn't mind! Hugging the box to her chest she looked across the shop then up to Milosh. "Do you think they will have baskets here" Someone broke the handle of my old one." She was not going to tell him what had happened. He would not like it.

"Who broke your basket!" He was frowning deeply and looking around. He picked up a purse and looked inside of it. It was sort of like a basket. "What about a bag?" He slung it over his own arm and looked in a mirror. Peering at himself in the mirror he shook his head. He didn't understand the theory of the man bag. He looked silly.

She watched him with the purse and had to sit down, on the floor, because she was giggling so hard. Her cloak's wet ends clumped around her as she giggled away. She'd shake her head and try to breath. "N-N'uma! I need a basket. It is wider and can hold more and my herbs can breath until I am ready to tend to them properly." She tilted her head and pointed to a brown messanger bag. "That would be better fitting you!

He picked up the messenger bag and pulled it over his shoulder and looked at. "No, I do not see the allure. I think I will stick with my briefcase." He was pulling a basket off a shelf and peering to the lady behind the counter. He was pulling display flowers out of it and putting it on the counter. He walked to the shoes and found a pair of shoes. "How do you know which size you are...Do they measure your feet?"

She stretched out her feet from under her dress and waggled her toes...Seriously he was going to ask her if she knew her shoe size" He was going to get an answer! "That size!" She pointed to her feet and grinned all cute like. What' What did he expect!" She giggled and smiled up to him from the floor. He really was so worried about her catching cold. "Milosh?"

"Yes?" He was looking to her feet and pulling boxes down off of a shelf he held a shoe up to her foot and then another, and even more. He found one that looked about right and he handed the box over to her. "How about these ones?" He was opening the box and looking inside little slip on shoes. That seemed about right and he was looking around.

She blinked and took the box. She just kind of stared at the shoes, her ears dipping down. She didn't know how to put shoes on and now she felt kind of dumb! Picking up one of the shoes she looked it over. "Um. Uh. It is pretty?"

He lifted her foot and slipped the shoe on. Simple. "How does that feel" I mean, you know aside from super weird because you are not used to them." He was looking at them and canting his head slightly. He was not so good at Lady shopping, if he knew things like personal shoppers existed, he'd already have one.

She squirmed a bit and when he placed her foot into the shoe she tried to pull her foot away. Ahh! The shoe was following. She wiggled her foot around and scooted back some on the floor. Nope it was still there and following! Her ears dipped low as she looked at it. She somehow did not to whimper out. "I-I'll manage." Nope she didn't like it at all! But she'd raise her other foot for him to put the other shoe on.

He placed the other shoe on her foot and he frowned. They were adorable, but she was unhappy and he hated that. "You can take them off and we will burn them as soon as spring comes alright' And you never have to wear them if it is not snowing, or if you are at home."

She did not like them at all! She likely looked like a cat when you tried to put socks on them or tape on their paws. Second shoe on and she fidgetted around a bit before grasping at a shelf and pulling herself up to her feet. She tried to step but paused, looking positively alarmed. It felt so weird! Disconnected from the world because of them. She forced herself to take steps, wobbling her way to him like a new born doe.

The shop keep was staring, and with a slight twitch of fingers, Milosh sent an entire shelf of scarves hats and gloves crashing off of the wall, and onto the floor. There, that gave her something to do. A hand offered to her and he smiled. "You are a natural at this shoe thing." Nodding as if he knew what he was talking about. "And truly, if you end up someplace inside, take them off, put them in your basket, and only put them back on if you have to go out in the cold again."

She blinked when Milosh pushed things off the shelf and she clenched her hands against the fabric of her dress at the stomach area. Crystalline eyes looked up to him in concern that she had angered him which is likely why she didn't take his hand when he offered it. "O-Okay." Her eyes turned down quickly and she moved one hand to take his. She mumbled something quietly but it was in elven. Mentally pushing. Bad Milosh for making a mess with your beautiful mind!

When her demenor changed he knelt before her and frowned whispering. "If you hate them, we can get others, or we can get none at all darling, there is nothing that says you have to have them. I give you my deepest apologies and we do not have to ever discuss this ever again." He didn't speak elven but he wonder if it was something like Goddamn him and his stupid shoes.

She turned her eyes slowly up to him. "N'uma." She shook her head softly. "Th-this is important to you. I can do this for you." She smiled meekly. "I-It just feels unnatural to me that is all. I can deal with it. I will deal with it." She nodded to him and reached out to touch his cheek. "Do not apologize. It is I who should be! You are upset because of me."

"I am upset because this bothers you, and you shouldn't have to do it, but I worry, and I think that if it was not but for me, you would never have even considered the shoes." He reached to gently press his hand over hers with a smile. "Plus, I am broody remember" If I did not do so every so often, you would have no idea who I was and it would be terrible."

"I am going to do this for you." She said it so simply and to stop him from arguing" She kissed him square on the lips and didn't care if the shop keeper was watching. "But you have to carry me home!"

He also didn't care who saw, he simply kissed her, deeply, right there in the shop. A nod and he thought that was a wonderful idea. Standing, he picked her up, cradled in his arms and carefully carried her to the counter, where he took her present, put it into the basket and paid for the shoes and the basket as the lady tried to figure out how the shelf fell. A wicked sort of smirk tied itself onto those lips and he casually wandered out of the shop and down the street towards their home.
