Yup, it's taken me all day to realize that what is missing from this huge slew of OOC threads is? An OOC Thread!
So let's start the ball rolling with a little information.
Meringia is an island continent on some as yet unknown planet. The dynamics between the various countries within Meringia are pretty heavily based on the dynamics between countries in Europe around the 1500s & 1600s. Thus we have a rising religious movement, who don't essentially believe in anything all that different, just the way it is interpreted. We have a religious center, protected and obeyed by the majority of countries gathered around it. We have several royal courts and kings, and a whole passel of alliances, wars, peace treaties, and intrigues.
Currently, the focus is on Francia, but knowing us, we'll inevitably wander off and find new characters to explore, possibly in a different country altogether. Hope you enjoy what we're building here, because that's all it's about really ....having fun!
