Our Supreme god, Valero, had been banished by his brothers and sisters to an eternity of solitude at the edge of existence. He became the Shadow Void, a gaping expanse of despair in the universe that allowed no light or thing to survive. It was his duty to travel across the heavens between worlds to capture the life out of aging stars when the time came. His form of travel was called Shadow travel. He was feared, for he brought darkness and destruction to civilizations.

But Valero didn't want to be feared anymore, he wanted to be loved, envied even.

Thus, my kinsmen, the Shadoweavers were born.

It has been written that Valero peeled a layer of Shadow from himself and molded it into the shape of Man. The first Shadoweaver was Rahxt. He was big and strong, and Valero trained him in the art of battle and war as he was intending to take back his home world of Brodaer and show his family he could build a great and powerful civilization, too. Rahxt revered his creator, eager to learn all he could.

As Rahxt grew in prowess, Valero gifted Rahxt with a planet lush with midnight vegetation and teeming with nocturnal wildlife. However, the first Shadoweaver was unappeased with the eternal darkness. Thus, the almighty God reached within himself, stretching across the universe to pluck two suns so that there could be light.

But Rahxt was lonely, too. He was worked day and night by the Almighty God, taught the mysteries of the universe, but still he yearned for more. The Warrior desired a wife. Valero understood his son's yearnings, and with a heavy heart, endowed him with the ability to travel through the shadows at will.

The Warrior Son wandered the shadows, spanning across the darkness of a variety of beautiful and horrible worlds until he came across his diamonds in the rough. She was a stunning creature with beauty that words could not do justice. Lustrous locks of chestnut and gold ribboned down her back as soft as the finest silk, and her eyes, stormy as the rolling clouds and waves of a vicious storm, pierced through him and straight to his heart. He was smitten at first sight.
