Theodore lounged languidly on his balcony, feet dangling over the edge as he propped himself up with one arm. He was taking a drag of a cigarette he couldn't taste, that he hadn't been able to taste in years or even breathe. Maybe he continued to do it from habit, maybe not....All he knew was that he was still smoking. And it was still draining his cash flow.

Leaning forward, he flicked the ashes over the ledge. Returning to basking in the warm weather, he sighed softly. He shone like marble caught in the sunlight. Any bystander would just think it was the sun's rays distorting their vision. He was far enough up that it didn't bother him to be concerned.

It had been a long week and a half, with inventory for the warehouse to be done and dealing with accountants weaving in and out of the work day to complete their audits. It was a good thing he could work for days with no affect, though he made it look like to the staff that he was just the last one out at twilight and first one in at dawn. He scowled darkly, mumbling incoherently to himself. It didn't help matters that someone vandalized the warehouse and that it also partially caught on fire in the process. If hadn't been for a water mage among the staff, a lot of damage could have ensued.

"I can only imagine how brassed off with me Alper is," he chuckled, taking another drag. "Bet he thinks I'm daft." Well, it was only a week and a half. Not that they had never experienced problems at the London office, oh there were many instances.

He still wondered why Alper had chosen him to head this office in his absence, he had been fine in London. Was there an ulterior motive" Were things going bad in London' Was he really just that good" Or was it because of his condition and the fact he's so comfortable with the paranormal?

Was it better to keep it a mystery' He mused, contemplating his situation.

He flicked the remaining ashes before tossing the butt altogether. Another upward look at the sun from behind his sunglasses. It was beginning its descent, oranges, pinks, and light purples splashing across the heavens. An exhale of relief. Quietly, he rose to his feet and buttoned up his shirt.

Returning to his question, there were three things he was sure of: 1) This place had much less to be worried about than Earth 2) He was still apprehensive 3) He wanted a beer

Mr. Ergin was driving him nuts, the way he ranted and raved all over the bloody office. Theodore sat at his desk, door firmly closed, and rubbed his temples slowly.

It was nice to be temporarily deaf from the daily ongoings that were continually being interrupted by Alper's father. He was more of a nuisance than of any help, and they way he acted like they had no idea how to run a currently well-operated establishment was unnerving.

At least this was the last day of his God-awful presence in the office. Then, peace at last.
