If anyone told you the scenic views weren't the best part of space travel, they were lying.
The view you get right after breaking through the atmosphere is breathtaking. It will literally rob you of any breath. Your heart skips a beat, the hairs on your arm prickle, and it's as though time stands still.
It was Duci's favorite part of being a spaceship pilot: the views. You can't replicate them or find them anywhere else.

This was a large part of why Duci easily fell back into it; it made her happy. Flying through space gave her a kind of zen where she felt at peace. Like being in paradise with no problems and endless opportunities.
The universe, or multiverse depending on how you see it, is full of endless beauty. Each planet has its own appeal. Some she loved arriving in more than others, but Rhy'din was home. Her breath caught in her throat every time she flew back, a moment's hesitation to admire it from above before docking at port.
