27 July 2013

Saturday was bright and clear; a wedding gift to the couple from the bride's grandfather, the Lord of the Sky. He, along with several others from the Halls of Olympus, had planned to be among the congregation to bear witness to the union. For most of her life, they had watched from a distance. A few had popped in for the rehearsal dinner on Friday evening. It was hard to miss the drunken antics of Dionysus. Not even Atropos, who had long sought the affections of Rhiannon's birth father, was denied admittance to the joyous affair.

In the late afternoon, there was fussing and carrying on as the bride prepared for her grand entrance. It might have been the one day in her life that she didn't mind the feminine trappings and elegance of silk, lace, and more jewelry than she normally wore. Things had been arranged so that the bridal carriage would arrive after the procession had started. This would afford some time for Tass, who Rhiannon claimed as her father, to offer any last minute words of advice.

Hatten Point's attractions had started as Aja Bird's vision of building a zoo. It caught on like wildfire with her friends and family, who offered their own ideas, supplies, and hands to help make the Captain's dream a reality. With Aja's blessing, the Arboretum and its grounds would officially be opened with Rhiannon and Eregor's wedding. Eregor had worked hard on the project making it into a place to enjoy, learn at, and, perhaps, to dream in. In preparation for the wedding, the bridges across the stream had been decorated with sprays of roses, lilacs, and baby's breath and tied with lilac and lavender ribbons. At the end of the Arboretum driveway, guests were directed through a rose covered archway to one of the small garden areas. Chairs had been set out in rows on either side of a center aisle. Row ends were marked with flowers created with white pearl strands and translucent lilac ribbons. The first two rows on either side were reserved and marked with the ribbons and dark purple roses. At the far end of the aisle was a second archway covered in white and purple lilacs, this was where vows would be exchanged.

Horse drawn carriages and limousines arrived at the arboretum. The carriages delivered the guests then returned to bring the bridal party. Limousines remained on site to take people back to their rooms at the resort or back to the docks to take the ships back to Rhydin City.

As was sometimes the custom at weddings, guests were offered a program of sorts to keep track of who was who and what was what. The names of the bride's attendants, groomsmen, and musicians along other tidbits were listed. At the suggestion of her bridesmaid, Katt, Rhiannon had opted for bubbles to be given out instead of rice for the end of the wedding.

Few things made themselves known better than an over-excited child dragging her parents toward the beautifully created space where soon one man and one woman would become husband and wife. Dragged along by one hand, Piper was laughing at the sight of Lyneth straining to get a good view of everything around her. "Lynnie, just calm down," she tried to urge her daughter, relinquishing her hold to let Des take charge of the little half-Fae.

"But it's so excitin'!" the tiny girl exclaimed cheerfully. Her momentum as she was released from her mother's grip swung her around until she thumped face first into Des, stepping back with a giggle. Imperious arms rose expectantly as she looked up at her father. "Up."

Though in truth, he wasn't her father - at least, not by blood - and the adoption papers had yet to be formally filed, Desmond had embraced the role of fatherhood with the same exuberance with which Lyneth embraced life. He loved his new life with his little family, and as he swept the little bundle of energy that was Lyneth up into his arms, his whole face lit up with happiness. So long as he was there, she'd be sure to have the best seat in the house.

"Now hold still, you little terror." Piper advanced on her fiance and daughter with a grin. "Don't you want to wear the pretty flowers you've been given?"

Lyneth tore her gaze from her curious inspection of the surroundings and other guests to settle her eyes onto the little headband in her mother's hands. It was lovely - an arrangement of eggplant delphiniums, grape-purple violets, ivory wildflowers, and bits of green foliage set on a delicate, purple satin covered headband. The little girl's eyes glowed happily. "Oooh, yes, please!" She held still as Piper settled the pretty piece onto her head, her smile growing to a happy beam of delight now she matched their surroundings. "Does I look pretty?"

"Do you look pretty," Des corrected, ever patient, amusement flickering in his bright blue eyes. "And yes, you do. My girls are the prettiest girls in all of Rhy'Din!" he said, as he gave Lyneth's button nose an affectionate tweak.

That comment, while innocent enough, elicited a snort from a new arrival, and Des turned to find a slightly familiar-looking blond man in a black suit and pink shirt arriving with a pretty brunette he remembered from various family gatherings that had taken place at Maple Grove. Olivia and Johnny Storm - his brother Jon's personal assistant and her wise-cracking superhero husband.

"Don't you know it's rude to say that at a wedding" The bride is always the prettiest!" Johnny pointed out with a teasing grin. As far as he was concerned, Liv was by far the prettiest, but the bride had yet to make an appearance. It was no big secret that Johnny was particularly fond of Rhiannon, who had taken to him almost like he was a long-lost brother.

"Olivia, I didn't know you married the wedding police!" Des remarked with a smirk, taking Johnny in stride. Nothing was going to ruin his mood, not even the antics of one Human Torch.

Liv laughed softly at the interaction between the men and the uniqueness that was Lyneth, her gaze meeting Piper's. She hadn't been expecting to see anyone she knew apart from the bride and groom, and it was a relief and a pleasant surprise to find that Des, Piper, and Lyneth had been invited as well. "It's a beautiful day to be married, isn't it?"

Lyneth wrinkled her nose at Johnny, peering closer. "Why's you wearin' pink" Girls wear pink."

"Shh, you, sometimes men wear pink," Piper corrected her, chuckling as she ushered Des down the aisle to find a seat.

Des couldn't help but smirk at Lyneth's comment regarding Johnny's color scheme, and muttered under his breath, just loud enough so that the Torch could hear him, "I wouldn't be caught dead wearing pink."

Johnny furrowed his brows a moment at the little half-Fae girl, unsure just what to make of her. He was usually pretty good with kids, and he and Liv were hoping for some of their own someday, but there was no rush. "It goes good with my eyes," he quipped back at them both, batting his lashes playfully at Lyneth, just one big kid himself.

Liv wrapped her arm through Johnny's, unable to quite wipe the smile from her face as she looked around. "Fairytale wedding, isn't it?" she murmured softly, touching her cheek to his shoulder. They hadn't exactly had a fairytale themselves, but she wouldn't have changed what they had had for the world. "I hope they're as happy together as I am with you."

Johnny beamed a smile back at Liv, who had somehow managed to distract him before he could respond to Desmond's remark. He wasn't going to let anything spoil his good mood either. He tucked Liv's arm into the crook of his elbow to lead them to their seats, wherever those were. As far as he was concerned, every day was a fairytale, so long as he was with his half of the Broderick twins. "If they're even half as happy as we are, they'll be fine."

She smiled up at him, hugging close to his arm as they followed Des, Piper, and Lyneth toward the bride's side of the aisle, drawing him down into a seat behind that merry little family. Half as happy or ten times more so, this wedding had felt like it was a long time coming, and they were all determined to enjoy it.

Marissa felt a little ridiculous in the dress that had been picked out for her. She'd needed help getting into the dress, and now that it was on, she felt a bit silly, but her mother and sisters had assured her she looked lovely and that the gown complemented her in every way. It was lovely, to be sure, but far more elaborate than anything she'd normally choose for herself.

One of her selves was reminded of a formal gathering in another time and place, where a handsome young man had attempted to kiss her, and she had fled in terror. She was confident that wouldn't happen today. She'd make sure of it.

The gown itself was lovely, made of cream-colored velvet with black lace trim and beaded fringe. A pendant hung from her neck depicting a white unicorn against a full moon - the symbol of purity and a familiar emblem associated with her adoptive mother's house. Though she was not wearing purple as were those in the wedding party, a trio of lilac roses, which distinguished her as belonging to the bride's family, held her long chestnut hair back from her face on one side.

She made her way quietly toward the gathering and found a seat unobtrusively among the bride's family, a slightly shy smile offered to those already there. She folded her hands in her lap demurely and waited for the ceremony to begin, both excited for her sister and a little nervous of the crowd.

Though she was unacquainted with any but those who were family, she recognized a few familiar faces. Despite her nervousness, she was overjoyed for her sister and hoped Rhiannon would find lifelong happiness with her chosen mate.

Victor and Shy alighted from one of the carriages and moved through the rose-covered archway towards the small garden area where the wedding will take place. While he was in a smart black suit and tie, Shy chose to wear an enchanting strapless, floral-embroidered silk organza gown styled with a pair of coral-coloured heels which highlight the blossoms of the elegantly designed dress.

"This place is fantastic, and the smell is wonderful." He smiled at Shy as they walked arm in arm gracefully towards the chairs. He said a soft thank you when they were handed a program and a bottle of bubbles. She nodded in agreement. "Ja. 'Tis a beautiful garden, for sure. And I adore lilacs as you know, Mister Grynryd. Their fragrance is simply marvelous." A dimpled smile accompanied a wave of greeting for those who arrived ahead of them. "E'erybody looks so grand. The males are quite dashing in their suits, and the females are very lovely in their gowns ....do you agree?" Lightest of blues settled upon the handsome Garou at her side. "Hva er det?" The question asked as she pointed at the container. He gave a nod, both to Shy and to the other guests. "Everyone is looking their best today. It should be an event to remember." He held up the small bottle of fluid to show Shy. "This is a bottle with which to blow bubbles at the happy couple after the ceremony."

"Oh. I see." It is the first time she has heard of such a thing. "Na I am tenkning we should sitte on the Bride's side of the aisle." She indicated the left side. "Do you want to be closer to the front, or more in the middle?"

"I think that, being taller than most, we should sit slightly further back to not block anyone else's view of the ceremony."

"Very well, mitt elskling, but I claim the end chair. I want a clear view of each person in the bridal party as they walk down the aisle."

"In that case, I had better sit down first." After sliding the bottle into his pocket, he gestured with his free hand towards one of the rows of chairs. "Here, my heart?"

"Ja. This is fint, Kjaereste" He smiled a little wider at his lady, then took a seat next to the one on the end where Shy requested to sit. She eased down onto the chair seat, and gently smoothed out the skirt of her gown. A small lean was taken toward Victor to whisper, "I am feeling a bit excited. 'Tis long since I have attended a wedding." With her hand slipped into his she fell silent to listen to the wonderful music and singing.

He gave Shy's hand a squeeze as he settled back to enjoy the occasion. "I would like to hear about that sometime," he whispered before going quiet himself.

The scarred Watchwoman gracefully alighted from the carriage that fetched her to the wedding site. Measured strides were matched to allow the periwinkle blue silk of her long gown to flow like water about her while she strode to the seating area. Raven haired head, long tresses held back on the sides with periwinkle blossoms, dipped in turn to those whom she recognized in the crowd. A chair was gracefully claimed on the bride's side, and white lace gloved hands rested in her lap, along with the program.

Rachael remembered, with a brief wistful expression on her scarred features, the presence of the soon to be joined in matrimony couple at her own wedding over a year ago. A silent prayer was made that Rhiannon and Eregor would be together and contently happy for all of their days.

As is generally the case with families with kids, the Falconne clan was running farther behind than they had first intended. Antonio smiled at Anya and tousled his oldest's hair. "At least they held the ferry for us - it would have been a terribly long walk off an incredibly short pier, and I'm not swimming as well as I used to."

Maranya softly laughed. "Dearest, you can do anything that you set your mind to. But I agree, as dressed up as we are, it would have been a shame to arrive looking like drowned rats."

The rocking of the carriage had, unfortunately, made the boys even more excited, rather than calming them down as Antonio had hoped. He looked over at Anya. "Do you think we should break out their...." He spelled the word B-E-A-R-S. "...before certain people get any more enthused?"

"That may be wise. We don't want them shrieking through the ceremony," she agreed, and produced a pair of stuffed bears that had various means of teaching skills such as tying bows and buttoning buttons on them. The bears were also soft enough for the twins to cuddle with, should they get tired later.

Ayden and Andrew immediately grabbed for their bears, and were engrossed in fiddling with the buttons and bows.

With a grin on his face, he handed Anya down to the footman. Following behind, he waited, and caught both boys as they jumped down into his arms. "Careful fellas - you're going to wrinkle your new ties," he said with a wink to Anya.

"And after all the fuss they made about me tying them, too. You both look as handsome as your Papa, and he didn't put up any fuss in wearing a tie, either."

After he put the boys down, he straightened his vest, twitched his cuffs, and offered Anya a quick kiss. "Looks like things are getting ready - shall we take our seats?"

Maranya returned the quick kiss to Antonio and dropped a quick kiss to the tops of their sons' heads. "Da, we should. Bride's side, I believe."

The twins toddled ahead, stuffed bears waving in the air.

"At least it's not their practice swords," Maranya fondly laughed as she and Antonio finally got the boys settled in with them in their seats.

Their carriage came to a stop as the door opened, allowing Brian to take his exit. Turning, as he stepped to the ground, a hand was offered towards the door with a warm smile to those inside.

"I look silly! We both do, Daddy!"

"Speak for yourself, Chowder-head."

"Didja hear what Leyah called me, Daddy?"

Brian shook his head softly, "I heard her Thressa, and Leyah please don't call your sister a—-"

The sound of a throat clearing with authority from within the carriage stopped the exchange between father and daughters dead in its tracks, as Brian chuckled softly.

"That's our signal girls....Mother has spoken, and you know what that means."

"Best behavior ever," said the duo in unison.

"That's about the gist of it, so let's get you all out here and find our places."

First came Aleyah, and then Nathressa. Each of the twins fiddling with the waist brooch of their elegant short chiffon dresses, as they awaited their mother who soon followed.

Taking Jenai's hand, Brian led her down the steps of the carriage offering a soft kiss to said hand, as Jenai settled on the ground with her family. A loving smile returned, as her hand was released.

Lilac eyes settled upon the twins, as Jenai gave them a quick once over. In reaction the girls quickly righted themselves, standing as ladies indeed with their hands clasped before themselves, and such a smile that each of them had for their mother and father.

A hand lifted as Brian the breast of his jacket a bit, feeling a bit out of sorts without a side arm of any kind. He knew there was no need for one at all on this most incredible of days and welcomed that fact deeply down inside as his eyes landed upon his wife, which cause a breath or two to be stolen.

Normally it didn't take much for that to happen when it came to Brian, but seeing Jenai as she was seemed to make it a rather constant affair.

Tresses of flame settled along her tanned shoulders, the full length silken jeweled evening dress of lavender with matching heels, and a lovely brooch nestled within their hair of hers.

Indeed Jenai was the centerpiece of the Ravenlock family this evening.

Her lilacs met his blue, "See something you like, Mister Ravenlock?"

"Always, m'heart. But I dare say this isn't the time to expand on that, because if I do we may not get seats and will miss out on the ceremony, and that simply will not do."

"Then you owe me time to expand on that," said Jenai as she slid her arm through Brian's.

"Always," answered Brian as the family headed towards the rose covered archway.

"This is amazing," said Brian as the family entered the garden. The twins 'ooohing and aahing' as their eyes wandered the expanse of the area with such a wonder. "It sure is baby, it's so comforting so—- out of a book. It's something so special. Perfect for the bride and groom," replied Jenai.

Polite nods were offered to the other guests, as the Ravenlock family took their seats.

At the back of the seats on the groom's side, a spherical creature floated, its many blue eyes looking here and there upon their stalks. The beholder, Tenball, bore an infectious grin despite the hints of sharp teeth, and he bobbed up and down in anticipation. An old friend of the groom, he had watched the couple grow into a life together, and knew that they were the proverbial match made in heaven. Joyful laughter bubbled up from within him, and he started to apologize for disturbing those nearby, but they simply smiled and waved it off. This was a day for joy, after all.

Psly chuckled as he stepped down to the ground from the elevated carriage level. "We're not gonna be late, love. You can stop apologizing." He turned to face the open portal once more, extending a hand to connect with the smaller counterpart coming into view. The man was slicked and shiny, decked from head to toe in formal kilted panoply. The dark sporran rested on blackwatch tartan, its precious contents within hoarded by an embroidered silvered dragon.

"I'm sorry," his redheaded companion murmured with a sheepish grin and pink tinge of cheeks as she came into view, claiming the offered hand with her own to use in aid to disembark from the provided transport. "My hair sucks." He sighed softly as he drew her forward and more into sight. No doubt he'd heard some variation of his wife's complaint a few dozen times for the length of the ride's duration.

The offensive element of her attire was elegantly contained, silver- and red- strands mingled in a sleek chignon at the nape of her neck and dotted by tiny diamond dragons. Her forest green gown was composed of taffeta, strapless and curving around her body like a second skin until it flared at knee-height, blossoming out as an upside-down flower kissing her feet. A simple blackwatch sash covered the right shoulder, crossing her body and clasped at her left hip in claws of a dragon sister to her husband's sporran-guardian.

"Your hair's fine," he murmured patiently, his other hand reaching out toward her waist to ease her down the carriage steps while in high silver heels. "But if you don't stop talking, we will be late." His words took on a teasingly chiding tone and sent Jaycy's eyes rolling. "Sorry," she repeated ....but with much less contrition.

He chuckled, pulling the short woman in for a kiss before withdrawing enough to lead her, hand on waist, toward the ceremony space. "It's lovely,?" she breathed as they passed the rose-covered archway, green-gold eyes alit with pleasure at the lilac and lavender ribbons amongst the flowers and baby's breath. He squeezed her side in agreement, sneaking a glance down before murring his agreement. They paused just within the area briefly, nodding polite hellos toward the other invited guests. "They did well," he finally verbalized. "Shall we find a seat?"

"Mmm, please." She shifted an inch closer, nestling more into his side and hold almost as if shy around those gathered already. He took to forward movement once more, the redhead close at his left, and they descended on seats nearer the rear of the ceremony space. "Is this alright?" he queried, nodding at her smiling agreement. They settled quietly and continued to peer around, knowing the ceremony would soon commence.

Shadow arrived with a minimum of fuss - he had no date or significant other, but he did have his new kitten Rumpelstiltskin perched at his shoulder. The creature had grown large and fey in its time in the Citadel, a huge grey Manx breed with striking violet eyes, but it seemed to have no trouble keeping its place atop the elf's slender shoulder.

The ArchMage was dressed in his best suit, a black Armani woven with silver thread to make the entire outfit shimmer as he strode. A gentleman's half-cape, the night-black cloth replete with a silvery weave similar to the suit's, draped over his left shoulder and arm. And of course, he had the ArCane with him, tapping the floor with it as he took a seat near the back, on the bride's side. He offered smiles and nods to those he knew, or any who chanced to look in his direction.

Aja smiled watching the ArchMage arrive at the wedding site. She took a moment to view his dashing outfit, then looked down to her own. The blue dress was a product of yet another one of Sivanna's shopping sprees. Along with the heels to match, the jewels however, were Aja's, things she had collected over the years, but rarely had occasion to wear them. She found moments to pull them from the safe, at times of occasion, like a charity event or in this case a wedding.

Not attending Rhi's wedding would be something akin to not attending one of her own kids' weddings. She had watched Rhi grow up, that's how long Aja had been blessed to know this family. Even when she teased Colleen that she needed a scorecard to keep track of them all, she knew although they might not be blood, she could always count on them like her own family.

She looked back to see where Padriq had gotten off to already, then went to find their seats.

Padriq was trying to be on his best behavior of course. He had arrived with Aja, dressed in his best, all be it something pirates don't generally wear. After a bit of ogling Aja in her blue dress and smiling to himself over just how lucky he was, he meandered about to see what kind of help he could give in preparation for the wedding.

As Aja went off to see Rhi and give them their love he had found the kiddos. So, while the adults were busy with last minute fussing he was playing. As Aja found him, she'd see that he was busy beneath a pile of boys all yelling "Arrrghhh!!" and billowing for his surrender. Honestly, he was going to ruin his nice black suit, white shirt, and blue tie at this rate, but he didn't seem to mind. He always enjoyed playing with children and being very much a distraction when parents needed it.

Last minute fussing was done with Limeleneth's hair and dress before Chelle took her seat. She choose a place on the right side of the aisle. She never really understood that whole bride's side and groom's side thing. Wasn't the point of a wedding to celebrate the union of people and not to divide them' Chelle smoothed down the back of her red strapless Jacquard gown. The ruby and silver jewelry she'd chosen stood out against her fair skin. She was turned slightly in her seat so she could see who all was coming in.

Soon, the carriage that Rena arrived in pulled up to the site. Rena stepped out and looked around, smiling at what was in front of her. A nod was given to the attendant who gave her a program. The blue dress she wore was one she had refitted and was trimmed in silver, with matching silver shoes and purse. The wrap was draped over her arm as it was warm enough now to not need it. Her hair was pulled back from her face, held in place with a silver clasp. A toss-up of where to sit was eventually settled as she took a set near the aisle, since she was friends to both bride and groom. Once seated, she opened the program and smiled again.

Stepping down from the carriage that had brought them to the arboretum and gardens, Doran Ilnaren turned and raised a hand to assist his mother. Phen smiled and took it, gracefully climbing out. Thank you, son, she signed to the boy, before reaching in to lift the basket that held baby Olivia. Handing that to Doran, she turned to look at Azure, still sitting in the carriage. Concerned that her daughter's recent trials were affecting her, she gave the girl a comforting smile as her fingers danced. Are you all right, dear"

Azure nodded back. "Uh huh! I'm just waiting for you to move out of my way, Mama." The girl's impish grin broke into giggles. Behind Phen, Doran managed to keep a straight face, though it was clearly a struggle.

Phen's laughter was a soft hiss as she dutifully stepped back to allow her daughter to exit the carriage. Once Azure was on the ground, her mother crouched to look at her, straightening her dress. You look lovely. Now go join the other girls and get ready. As the girl scampered off, she rose and took the baby basket that Doran held up for her.

Once he no longer carried Olivia's basket, Doran reached up to fix his tie, then held a hand up. "Can I walk you to your seat, Mama?" Together, mother and son strode up the aisle to the front row on the groom's side.

Standing with eager anticipation, Eregor beamed at them, then gestured for Doran to take up his spot with the musicians once Phen and Olivia were settled.

"Will you quit fussing over your tie, honestly Love, you look fine." Sarah watched as Krusol tugged his emerald tie left and right before smoothing it upon his chest. He was matching her of course, only because Sarah had picked what they would wear. The Knight had been quite busy with assisting Thamasa through a rough time.

Whiskers wiggled on his face when he smiled and his hand reached out to smooth over the bump on Sarah's belly, "Still haven't figured out what we are going to call him?" He looked around and lowered his hand as the carriage Sarah requested came to a stop.

Sarah simply smiled and shook her head, a small sigh leaving her as she pat her belly, "The name still evades me Lion."

Watching Krusol slip from the carriage, she moved after him, surprised to see steps set for her and a footman to help guide her down them. However, it was Krusol who took the lead in assisting her out of the carriage, she still smiled and thanked the footman for his aid.

Glancing around, Sarah marveled at the beautiful setting before leaning into her husband's arm and whispering, "Got the tissue, because I'm going to be a blubbering mess during the whole thing." All the while she was pointing to two seats on the groom's side where the couple could sit and watch the wedding.

Krusol patted his suit down before producing a simple white handkerchief, "Blubber away, Dove." With that the couple sat down while Krusol suggested, "What about Ryan?" allowing the couple to ponder boy names as they waited for the wedding to begin.

"Momma, look! I'm wearin" your shoes!" Thia took half of a wobbly step forward in Koy's purple suede pumps that were several seasons too old. Koy didn't have the heart to throw them out. Shoes were personal artifacts from the past and the closet that held them a museum to that history. For the pre-schooler though they were beloved playthings.

Koy smirked, secretly thrilled at her daughter's interest in shoes, however currently misguided. "Thia, how many times do I have ta tell ye, ye can't wear suede like tha in the summer. C'mon now, we're goin' ta be late ta the weddin' iffn we don't finish gettin' ye dressed."

"Rhi-nonny gets to be a princess today!" Thia gleefully cheered, stumbling out of the shoes with a giggle.

Koy sat on her knees and held the black-and-white gingham dress above her daughter's head. "Aye, all brides get ta be princesses on their weddin' day. Now put yer arms up, bee."

Thia raised her thin arms to the air and squirmed inside the dress as Koy pulled it down. The girl twisted in both directions, visibly enjoying the swoosh in her dress, but she patted her sides with a small frown at her mother. "Too loose."

The fashionista beamed at her daughter's observation. "Ye're right, it's not fitted properly 'cause it's missin' a key piece." Koy reached a hand up to pull a ribbon in a similar purple to her suede shoes off of her vanity. "Here we go, a pop of color ta accent yer outfit and make it fit beautifully." She wrapped the ribbon high on Thia's waist and tied a neat bow at the front to her daughter's delight. "Better?"

Thia smiled down and gently touched one tip of the ribbon. "Faaaaabulous." She grinned up at her mother doing her imitation of the old biddies who loitered daily in her mother's shop. Koy felt satisfied at having tackled the challenge of dressing her daughter without a fight when from down the hall she heard Matt's voice calling her.

"Koy! Can you help me with my cufflinks?"

***

Eventually the Simon clan arrived in a limousine properly attired. For herself, Koy had chosen a raspberry-hued fitted gown flaring out from her knee to the hem at her ankles, sleeveless with a v-neckline. The fabric had been manipulated to give the appearance of petals covering the entire dress. "You're blooming!," Thia cooed when she saw her mother step out in it. The child ran her fingertips lightly along the ribbons and flowers that greeted them at the end of each aisle until they found three seats. She was quick to give up her chair as she climbed into her father's lap in order to see better. Koy and Matt grinned at each other in that goofy way that often led Koy to calling them sappy as the three of them eagerly waited for the ceremony to begin.

Isuelt DeRomiano had mercifully retired her black leathers for the occasion; and as she arrived by carriage (so generously offered by the Bride), she stepped onto the gently sloping flagstone which led the celebrants to the site of the ceremony. Her long legs were half-caged in heeled sandals, which made the flash of an appearance just before the navy blue silk of her gown slithered down her knees and shins toward the ground. With a nod to the driver she started toward where the others were gathered. A soft breeze, scented with honeysuckle and freesia, played at the few loose tendrils of deep ebon hair which brushed her back. The Scathachian was not only cleaned, but coiffed. Rhiannon and Eregor's wedding was not something to take lightly; as she respected both the Bride and Groom deeply. A soft smile rested comfortably upon her lips as she winked to a few of those whose eye she had caught. A joyous day, indeed, and a brilliantly weathered one. The warrior cut a nearly unfamiliar figure: one of grace and femininity. Her tall form quietly sat down among the other guests, her chocolate-hued eyes looking about in happy anticipation. With a soft sigh, she nodded her head to herself, silently content by the gathered citizens in their show of love and well-wishes for the couple. Today would be a good day.

Outside the archway, Rhiannon Harker knelt down to give a once over to her children. Not one to read the riot act, her words were quiet, but firm. "Behave well." That was enough to cause shoulders and spines to straighten some. She checked Rick's tie and Catie's hair bow. "You're first down the aisle. It's an important job." More quiet words were exchanged with Maggie as Rhi fussed with her daughter's dress.

Maggie just grinned and said, "Mama, I got this! Don't worry!" She looked between her flat shoes and her little sister's heeled ones. Her brow quirked. "Catie's not gonna do a lot of dancing in those!" An impish twinkle glittered in her hazel eyes. "She can't run far either."

"Right. Well, Da and I are going to sit now." Mrs. Harker straightened up. She was having one of those parental moments where a giggle or laugh would be inappropriate, but Maggie caused them often. It was especially so when she exerted the rights and privileges of being the oldest child. She was sometimes too grown up for her own good.

"What are we going to do, annsachd, when she really does grow up?" Rhiannon murmured as she took her husband's arm for the walk past the archway. Her deep blue gown accentuated the sapphire of her eyes.

"Do?" Dennis shook his head and escorted his wife down the aisle past the archway. "You vetoed the tower and she's already got the ruddy tower breaker lined up just in case," he murmured back with the devil's own grin. Rhi looked at Dennis like she was peering over the rims of a pair of spectacles. "Do you really think a tower would have held her?" Her sapphire eyes sparkled with a mischievous twinkle. "Look who all she comes from!"

"Too right, annsachd. Not to mention Bertie must've shown Maggiebug a thing or two about being devious. Where else would she get it from?" he asked with an air of innocence.

"Hey, I heard that, you ruddy git," Bertie retorted from his seat.

"But you didn't deny it, so ha on you," Dennis grinned.

Bertie looked from his oldest friend to Rhiannon at the latter's expression. "Doghouse?"

Dennis looked over at his wife and then shook his head at Bertie. "Doghouse."

Rhiannon looked between them and deferred to the family matriarch, who said, "Stables." Collie flashed a wink at the lifelong partners-in-crime.

While Dennis and Bertie were razzing each other, some of Rhi's other siblings were making their way into seats. Some sat in the reserved section while others, like Diana, slipped into the back row.

The last of the carriages bringing guests arrived. Once the Harkers were seated, a small group came through the archway. To those that could see or sense such things, powerful auras surrounded them. While most took seats in the rear of the garden, two broad shouldered men and a lovely white haired young woman moved to the second row on the bride's side of the aisle. The man with Siofra Kelley on his arm took the seat next to Mrs. Harker that was not already occupied by her husband, Dennis. Quiet words of welcome were offered.

The elder curled his hand around Rhiannon's and spoke quietly in what could have been identified as Greek. Further words were exchanged as the man looked over face after face. He brushed a kiss to her cheek then turned his head to await the arrival of the bride and those that accompanied her.

The second man smelled of fresh ocean breezes. His eyes were the color of the sea. Anticipating the seating arrangement in the first row, he awaited not the only bride's arrival, but that of her mother as well. The only person he greeted was Ariana, who was sitting next to him.

Ariana pressed a kiss to the ocean man's cheek. "It's good seeing you again," she murmured with a grin.

Abby and Madison Fenner, dressed in deep purple dresses and silver shoes, were carried in by their brothers, Draven and Mir. Once they were seated, it was their mother's turn to enter the garden. She wore a dark purple gown with a corsage of lilac roses to compliment the colors of the bridesmaids' dresses. Music called "Every Mother's Dream" was played as Colleen moved down the aisle on Darien's arm. Quiet words were exchanged between husband and wife as they took the two seats closest to the aisle in the front row. Colleen had to keep reminding herself to breathe.

A small collection of musicians played softly and unobtrusively behind where Elaine and Eregor waited, providing ambiance as the guests gathered. Doran stood by them, flute in hand and half-listening, and smiled as a tide of good feelings washed over him. It was often a cliche to say that love was in the air, but on this day the young lad knew it was truth.

Spying Colleen and Darien coming down the aisle, he took up his position and waited, signaling the musicians to be ready. Once the couple had taken their seats, he glanced over at Elaine and, upon seeing her slight nod, raised his flute to his lips, and began to play, signalling for the procession to begin. He closed his eyes and felt the depth of emotion all around, letting it fill the music that flowed through the garden.

Before any of the adults in line got to them, seven year old Maggie took charge of her younger brother and sister. "Now, listen. You heard Mama, we gotta have company manners today." She grinned brightly. "Don't forget, we got fun stuff to do after we eat dinner!"

"Like what?" Rick gave Maggie an incredulous look.

"Like, goin' to the play park, goin' swimmin' 'n' ALL kinds of stuff!" It was Catie, not Maggie, that answered their younger brother. "You be good and all b'cause they told us we can have pizza then do stuff with the kids."

Rick had the devil's own grin on his face, a mirror to his father's. "Can we drive a boat?"

Maggie looked up to the heavens as if to say, Why me? before peering at her brother. "If you be really really good, I'll ask Auntie Aja."

Rick's brow furrowed as he thought about it. "Ok, but you two leave my share of the pizza alone!"

"Deal," said the sisters in unison.

The signal from up front was given. Catie looked down to make sure that her fancy shoes were buckled properly before she and her twin headed down the aisle. The night before, their mother, grandmother, and one of their uncles had run through where to walk, how fast, and where to sit when they were done giving Elaine the rings. The pillows were left at the altar where Rhiannon and Eregor could untie the dark purple ribbons that secured the rings in place. When their job was done, the children gave picture perfect smiles to those gathered and scampered off to join their parents in the second row.

Even as the twins handed off the rings, Azure started forward down the aisle. She looked awestruck by the finery and decorations on both sides, but kept her step while scattering rose petals along the way. A smile spread across her face as she spied her Uncle Gory waiting patiently for his bride, and he winked back at her, prompting a giggle.

Once at the front, the girl spread petals to both sides and then made her way over to join her mother and sister in the front seats on the groom's side. She waggled her fingers at Doran as he played.

Maggie and Limelenath paused in the archway. Melly looked over her younger cousin and nodded. "We'll do, I think."

"Do what?" Maggie murmured.

"It's something Naneth says when we're finally ready to get moving."

"Oh, ok." Maggie's brows furrowed and her lip crumpled. "I shoulda brought my skinny do."

"What's a skinny do?" Melly eyed her cousin like she'd slipped into Greek.

" 's a knife Mr. Douglas gave me when I was a flower kid for him and Auntie Rach."

Their Aunt Nicole's voice came from a few feet back. "That's skeeen do." She pronounced the Gaelic sgian-dubh carefully.

"Right!" Maggie answered. "However you say it, I wish I had it!" Maggie shook her head. "Mama says a girl shouldn't be unarmed."

Melly giggled. "Maggie, you goose. You are never unarmed if you know how to use your brain!"

Maggie looked at her cousin, who was two years her senior. "Oh, yeaaaaaaaaah."

Nicole had overheard her nieces and murmured, "Boy, are we in trouble now!"

Seeing that Azure had gotten to the end of the aisle and was in place, Mairead and Limelenath took carefully measured steps down the path.

The blacksmith was unused to wearing a suit, though at least the tailors had managed to fit it to his rather broad shoulders. "I must look ridiculous," he said to Katt as they waited for their turn to stride down the aisle. The two had just met the previous evening at the rehearsal dinner, but he liked the young woman. Maybe it was the fact that, despite being lovely enough to rival his ex-wife, she was decidedly unconcerned with such things, a refreshing attitude.

She had been focusing her mind elsewhere so she didn't seem as nervous as she felt. Thumbs idly toyed with the ribbon that wrapped the bouquet she was holding between her hands and ceased only when she had been spoken to. Sharp greens shifted barely towards the man towering at her shoulder, a rather unlady like snort given, "You look great. If anyone looks ridiculous it is me. I should of done my hair different or something." Watching the pair before them start off she released the bouquet with one hand hand and reached over to tap her fingertips against the blacksmith's elbow. It was a nervous tap but they might as well assume position. "If I trip don't laugh."

"I wouldn't dream of it." He glanced down towards her shoes, then back at her with a gentle smile. "I know what it's like to unsteady on one's feet." Seeing that the two girls had just about reached the front row, he took a quick breath. "Time to go."

She was fussing over a deep violet flower in the bouquet as she stood near the back of the holding area. She was leaning over to peek a bit, a grin over her lips as she watched Katt go down the aisle. The surfer girl had only been in one formal wedding like this, when she was a child. She was the flower girl for her auntie's wedding and had only made it halfway down the aisle since she had run out of pedals and figured her job was done. She giggled a bit thinking back to that.

The young demigod, for once, looked...a little uncomfortable. Not because of the tux he was wearing - he looked completely suitable in it, and the haircut he'd gotten helped clean him up considerably so that he actually looked very dapper, like a nice young gentleman instead of the rabble-rowsing troublemaker he generally so resembled and acted like. It was just that he'd never been to a wedding before. No one would have thought of inviting him, he thought, except for family. "Remind me never to do this again..." he grumbled softly as he waited their turn.

"What?" She turned around and chuckled at him. "Oh com'on. It'll be fun." Katt was almost halfway down herself, so the surfer bounded over to Jacen to loop arms with him. Her smile was so bright, she could have ignited a dry field. "Look! All those people...they'll be starin' right at us like we were the peacock on the prim at Rindettler!" She unhooked her arm from his quickly to ....reassert herself inside of the bodice of her strapless gown. Now then, the blonde winked to him. "I know you love to have people lookin' atcha, Meat. So this'll be like a dream come true, yeh?"

He snickered and shrugged, having no idea what a 'peacock on the prim at Rindettler' was, but understanding the reference nonetheless. "I guess you have a point there, although it's more fun when they're hating on me. People can be so much fun to mess with." He looked over at her just in time to see Janie reseating herself in her bodice, and chuckled. As much as he liked women, he was glad he'd never have to deal with adjusting boobs in a bodice, it looked like a pain. Once she was done he offered his arm to her. "I think I'm gonna bail after the ceremony, though. I don't need a lot of people asking me when I'm gonna marry Siofra." There was a roll of his eyes at that. "I get enough of that on Sundays at the family dinner."

"My only regret is that we gotta do this with clothes on..." her Aussie accent pushed its limits as she smirked. "But I guess we gotta match t'others." She looked up from her readjustment and flashed a Great White smile as she hooked his arm and squeezed. Her voice was lowered a touch, denoting that she knew perfectly well what was appropriate and what wasn't. It was simply that most times, she didn't care. "Yeah, but today is Rhi and Gory's day. No hatin' on anyone today." And as for the last of his statement, she simply smirked, "Or you could just tell 'em loads of silly things like, 'We're already married' or 'Oh, we broke up,' or 'Who"' Works like a charm to shut people up."

He laughed at that, though he kept it soft enough to not be heard over the music playing accompaniment to the pairs walking down towards the altar. "I can't go out there naked, I'd make people jealous." With a snicker he took the first step to lead the way. "I think they do it just to get a rise out of me, and they'd never believe any of that anyway. Siofra has a standing invitation to Sunday dinner too, and I know she gets a kick out of seeing me turn red."

"I know just how you mean, Jace." A thought as she looked at him, "You're a really thoughtful bloke!" She followed in step with him as they began, and truth be told, she loved the attention...even more so than when she was a kid! A little smile sideswiped her glossed lips as she responded as quietly as she could to Jacen before they were in the middle of the congregation, "Every sheila loves gettin' a rise outta their men. It's what we live for. And every kinda rise, that is." Oh the sweet and innocent smile that she shared to those who had come to wish Rhiannon and Egregor a beautiful blessing on their union. They hadn't a clue what she was saying in those whispered moments to her partner, as she chuckled.

He was hard-pressed not to snicker as she said that first part, and at the second, if they weren't already in the middle of the crowd, he would've turned and given her a swat to the shoulder. Lowering his voice to a murmur, he spoke with a soft chuckle to his voice. "Well, I suppose it's payback. Gods know I've done it to her plenty of times." He didn't even bother with sweet and innocent - no one would've believed it from him, not in a million years, so he settled for his usual cocky, smug grin at the faces turned their way. He did manage to keep his usual proud swagger to a minimum, though, as they made their way down towards the others.

Those quenched lips were moving through a radiant smile on her tanned face as the neared the altar, "Demi-god, huh?" She nodded slowly and finally as they arrived, she looked to Jacen, "Lucky lady."

He grinned back as he returned the nod and unhooked their arms, shrugging slightly. "At least as lucky as I am." With a wink he headed to join the rest of the wedding party and turned to watch Nicole and Ebon come down the aisle after them, waiting for this whole shindig to get rolling.

An ever so slight hip-bump to Katt as she took her place opposite Jacen and the rest of the men. She was loving her front row seat to the event and took a long look at everyone seated. Today, she was having a blast of a blast...even more than usual!

Nicole had been directing traffic for the processional. The last few days had been a litany of That goes there, and This goes here. Somehow, only small things had needed correcting. She was counting her blessings for small favors as she watched Janie and Jacen moving down the aisle. The bulk of her duties to the bride were completed with a last minute hair adjustment before Rhi was helped into a carriage to ride to the arboretum with Tass. One more step to finish the proprieties, she needed to walk down that aisle, hold her kid sister's bouquet, and stand in witness to a milestone.

"Ready?" Ebon turned from watching the procession ahead of them and smiled at her. "I know they are, or at least I hope they are....although Eregor did mention something about taking a two-week vacation before lunch yesterday. How's Rhi?"

Nicole chuckled softly. "Right now, I think she's fine. However, a couple of days ago, she was threatening to run off to Disney Planet with Eregor." She flashed a grin at Ebon. "So that tells me that it wasn't marrying him she was unsure of, just the big fussy wedding with trimmings."

"Hah! I think that would've sparked a riot or, at the very least, a scathing article from our much-beloved Mr. Franco." He chuckled a moment, then sighed. "I know Eregor has no doubts either. I've known him for many years, he's my brother in all but blood, and of this I am certain: he loves your sister with his whole heart." There was a moment's pause. "Both hearts, in fact."

"I have no doubt about their feelings for each other." Nicole's expression became thoughtful. "I think some people might be forgetting that is about Rhi and Eregor ....and what they want." She smiled as she watched those inside getting settled. "Their wedding party is filled with kids." She laughed brightly. "Their nieces, their nephews ....Somehow, I think having them here along with rest of us," she coughed, "crazy people, is exactly what they really want. No matter where they did this." Nicole lifted her green eyes skyward as if offering a silent prayer. "This is what love is about, we're surrounded by it. This is what family is, blood or chosen." Nicole reached to take Ebon's arm. "Now, let's just hope Janie and Jacen didn't leave a banana peel or something on path." She winked at him.

"True words, Nicole." Glancing behind to see the bridal carriage approaching, Ebon turned to Nicole and winked back. "Let's do this."

"No time like the present!" She adjusted the train of her deep purple satin gown and started to make that trek down the aisle with Ebon.

The carriage stopped at the end of the driveway and Rhi gave Tass's cheek a kiss. "Well, this is it. You think we're ready, Papa?"

He looked to his daughter and there came a crooked grin. "That would entirely depend on your definition of what 'ready? is. I mean, after all, I am ready to eat him still, if you decide I need to."

"No, I don't want you to eat him." Rhi couldn't help but grin. "But I do appreciate that you're willing." She gathered up her bouquet of ivory and lilac roses to inhale their fragrance. "Do I look alright?" Rhiannon had never been one for fancy dresses, but for her wedding day, she wore satin and lace.

He gave her a once over, not that he needed to....he had taken note of all the little details that were hidden within that lovely dress of hers. But, still, it didn't hurt to put her on edge now and then. "I think there still is something missing." He paused for just that moment longer to make it awkward, then he leaned in and set a kiss to the top of her head. When he pulled back, there was a single emerald that crested her forehead, marking the line between her naturally beautiful face and that mane of lovely hair. "There, I think that's better."

Rhiannon touched her forehead with a fingertip and grinned. In teasing whisper, she said, "Papa, sometimes, you are so sneaky!" She saw her own face reflected in her father's eyes and the sparkle of green was a lovely contrast to her fair skin. She took a slow breath. "Now, if we can get through the next bit of time without me tossing off these heels, we'll be doing well." She laughed and it was reminiscent of the child she had once been.

He gave his own laugh with hers, and turned to look down at his feet, only to wiggle the bare toes. "I guess I'm not doing so well then, hrmm?"

"Well," Rhi said between giggles, "I think most people coming to this party will expect you to be naked by the end of it. So, no shoes to start is just you being you, Papa." She reached up to pin a boutonniere in place on his lapel. "There, finishing touch."

There was a bit of mischievous twinkle to his eye as he looked up from the flower she just pinned to him. "I will try my best not to....embarrass....you too much tonight, and keep my clothes on.....well, most of my clothes. I can't make promises that the jacket will stay on."

"How about you get through the ceremony with your jacket on. I get through it with my heels on and ....after that, all bets are off!" Rhi grinned from ear to ear.

"I think I can make that kind of deal. Afterwards though, even I don't know what Kitty will do. Perhaps she'll want me to continue to be coy with her, or she'll shred the clothes and leave me feeling comfortable." he said with a laugh in his voice.

"Weeeellll," she made a show of stretching out that word, "Mama did arrange for a lovely private beach cabin for you and Mom Two. You should enjoy it. Whatever you decide to do."

"Oh....I'm quite sure we'll enjoy it. I'll even make sure it stays in one piece....or get put back together in one piece."

"Aja will surely appreciate that." For a moment or two, Rhi was quiet. Pictures of her childhood with Tass and others helping her grow up drifted through her mind. Finally, she smiled, warmly and thoughtfully, at him. "Thank you. For always being there when we needed you." She kissed his nose as she had done when she was knee high to a grasshopper. "I love you, Papa."

He returned the kiss to her cheek and smiled. "I love you too, hun. You and your family either became blessed or cursed when ya'll decided to make me a part of it. Because, like it or not, I will always be there. Even when you don't see me or feel me, I am there."

"Like whispers in the wind," she spoke quietly, "the kind we hear with our hearts not just our ears." She took a deep breath and reached for his hand. "Would you mind helping out of this rig, please" The last thing I want to do, on my way in, is to fall flat on my face and be head to toe trail dust." Her tone said it all, she was teasing once again.

He grinned as he shifted to step outside, then once there, he turned and offered his hand to her. "I don't know. That might be more fitting for you.....more natural."

Rhi broke into peals of merry laughter. "Maybe I should have opted for a wider skirt and come in on horseback and armed to the teeth." She held onto Tass's hand as she stepped down from the carriage. Nicole and Ebon had just left the archway and gone down the aisle. "This is it. Another half hour or so and I won't be a single woman anymore. Somehow," she turned her head to look at Tass, "I have the feeling there will always be this little girl playing with a wooden sword that's living in the back of your mind." She squeezed his hand then rested her hand on the crook of his arm so they could begin the walk down to aisle where everyone was waiting.

He held himself in check from leaning over to kiss her again, but he did whisper to her with a bit of a smile to his lips "You do know, it's still not too late for me to eat him, wipe everyone's mind that he existed, and take you back to that time. Just say the word." However, he didn't wait for her response as he knew it already, and gave her a wink as he stood, squaring his shoulders like he was about to face some sort of firing squad.

They got to the end of the aisle and Rhi, once again, reminded herself to breathe. Elaine was there and ready to take charge. Rhiannon held onto her Papa's arm for just a bit more. There was one more thing he needed to do, a question that needed to be answered.

Rhiannon Brock

Elaine Aqua gulped a breath before she headed to the altar. Her steps were slowly dignified and lacked her usual graceless amble, partly due to the pale lilac silk and lace gown that she wore and partly to the important responsibility that she felt in leading the ceremony. Her hands wanted to fiddle with the pale violet rose circlet that topped her loose long reddish brown hair, but she kept them firmly at her sides

She turned to those who were gathered and stood straight and proud.

"We are gathered here today to witness the joining of Rhiannon Brock and Eregor in the bonds of matrimony. This decision is a serious one, and not to be entered into lightly or with any reservations."

She looked between her cousin and her cousin's guy before she spoke again. "If either of you have any reservations about entering into this bond, speak them now, or forever hold your peace."

Rhiannon handed off her teardrop bouquet of ivory and lilac roses to her sister, Nicole. She had no reservations, therefore, remained silent.

The wry grin spoke for Eregor despite his silence. He had no misgivings about this.

Once they made their answers, she turned to the crowd. "If there is anyone among you who has reason to forbid this bond between Rhiannon and Eregor, speak them now or forever hold your peace."

"And if'fn anyone does speak up, I'll whomp them good," she stage whispered.

Colleen's pointed ears twitched as she heard Elaine's remark. A murmur was given to Ariana, who was seated in the second row behind her. "Lainey's taken charge already." She gave the young redhead a bright grin and a thumbs up. "She'll be just fine."

"That she will, old friend," Ariana murmured to Colleen. "She's doing us right proud."

Elaine solemnly nodded to Colleen. Her usual grin was reflected in the brief spark of mischief in her hazel eyes. "Who gives this woman to be married to this man?"

He eyed Elaine a moment, then looked to Colleen, and there came a crooked grin.

"I'm not so sure about the giving part. But as far as loaning her out, I guess her mother and I do. We can have a talk about the giving later."

Rhi stifled a giggle and murmured, "I think you're supposed to join my hand with Eregor's, Papa." Before that could happen, Rhiannon gave her father a tender kiss. It spoke volumes of thanks and love for all the love, lessons, and caring he'd given through her lifetime.

There was a heavy sigh as she set that kiss to him, and he gave her a wink. "Oh...if you insist. I already know Collie is going to box me upside the head if I draw this out much longer." Then he moved to to set Eregor's hand in hers.

As Rhi's hand was joined with his own, Eregor looked into her eyes and smiled, then his gaze flicked to Tass and he spoke softly, just loud enough for the three of them to hear. "Thank you." A flood of emotion filled those two words: gratitude and respect for Tass, and love for Rhi all wrapped together in an unspoken promise that he would do right by her.

Darien and Colleen shifted over one seat to leave the first row aisle seat open for Tass when he was ready. He finally stepped back, and moved to take that open seat and found Collie's other hand, giving it a soft squeeze.

Catie Harker was sitting in the second row. She had climbed out of her chair and went to peek around Tass's shoulder, and whispered, "It's ok, Grandpa, you still got me 'n' Maggie to keep up with!"

He turned his head and couldn't help but laugh hearing her....be damned the sanctity of the occasion. "That I do, child....though perhaps it is you two who need to keep up with me."

All young Miss Harker could find to say to that was, "Huh."

"If Rhiannon and Eregor have any vows that they wish to speak to each other, they may do so now."

Rhiannon took a deep breath and lifted her eyes from their joined hands to Eregor's handsome face. "You were my friend before you became my love. You have lent me your strength and courage at times when I thought my own had failed. I promise to love you, respect you, and treasure each moment of the life that we are about to begin together will allow us to have. You give me hope for what will be and fulfill dreams that I never thought could be. When I think of what may be, your face is always there. I give you my heart, my soul, and the promise of a shared forever."

Once Rhi had finished, Eregor looked at their hands and breathed once, then again, before meeting her gaze and smiling. "You have become my soul, and I shall ever strive to be worthy of the grace that you bring into my life. I swear that I will never abandon you or give you any cause for doubt, and I will ever hold you ever in my heart, with a love born of friendship, respect, and hope for the best of futures together. This I pledge with all that I am, and all that I will be, forevermore."

"May I have the rings, please?" She held out her palm for the rings.

Rhiannon untied the ribbon that held the ring she'd chosen for Eregor and set it in Elaine's hand. Eregor did likewise with the other ring.

Once she received them, her hand closed over the rings. Her hand briefly glowed a pale violet. "T" na f"inn" a mharc"il m' mar shiombail de a gcuid gr" do gach eile. Iad si'd a chaitheamh orthu m' ag beannaigh le saol fada, sonas, agus gr"."

"Rhiannon, take the ring that you have chosen for Eregor, and repeat after me." She held out her palm to allow her cousin to take that ring easily.

"I take you my heart at the rising of the moon and the setting of the stars. To love and to honor through all that may come. Through all our lives together in all our lives, may we be reborn that we may meet and know and love again, and remember."

Rhiannon basked in the glow of the emotions that surrounded them. It was one of those days when being empathic was a blessing and gift. Rhiannon had chosen a yellow gold infinity band for Eregor. She held it before her thumb and index finger. "I take you, my heart, at the rising of the moon and the setting of the stars. To love and to honor through all that may come." She slid the ring just past the first knuckle of his left ring finger. "Through all our lives together in all our lives, may we be reborn that we may meet and know and love again, and remember." A gentle push sent the ring over his second knuckle.

Elaine nodded and turned to Eregor. "Eregor, take the ring that you have chosen for Rhiannon, and repeat after me." She held out her palm to allow him to take that ring easily.

"I take you my heart at the rising of the moon and the setting of the stars. To love and to honor through all that may come. Through all our lives together in all our lives, may we be reborn that we may meet and know and love again, and remember."

Lifting the ring from Elaine's palm, he held it up and let it catch the sunlight, shining golden with a delicate Celtic knot pattern all around and diamonds along the top to sparkle. "I take you my heart at the rising of the moon and the setting of the stars. To love and to honor through all that may come." Holding his bride's left hand in his, he held it up and slid the band onto the ring finger, sliding it up until it met the engagement ring already there, where it fit perfectly. "Through all our lives together in all our lives, may we be reborn that we may meet and know and love again, and remember."

Elaine took a deep breath, and recited a blessing in one of her family's native tongues, "Go raibh Dia dul in "ineacht leat agus t' beannaigh. Is f"idir leat a fheice"il do leana"'s p"ist". Go raibh t' daibhir i m' "idh agus saibhir i mbeannachta". Bealtaine T" a fhios raibh ach "thas agat "n l" seo amach."

She looked to Colleen, drawing strength from her to continue on, "Bealtaine "thas agus s"och"in nacht t' araon, latch s'samh do doras, agus sonas a bheith in "ineacht leat anois. Agus Dia duit evermore. Maire t' do shaol le muin"n, agus gean ar feadh an tsaoil a choth". Bealtaine do bhriongl"id a thagann f"or ar feadh an tsaoil ar do shon, bogadh riamh treo sin."

Victor whispered very softly to Shy, "I have no idea what she just said. Do you?"

"I have somehva of an idea," she replied quietly to the Garou. "'Tis of the Irsk G"lisk tongue." Her voice softened more, "I am sure they are being blessed with much happiness, and long lives."

He gave a silent nod in response. He quietly shared a thought. "Perhaps there is an exact translation in here." He checked the program, returning to silence to read and listen.

A quick kiss was pressed to Victor's cheek before she resumed watching the beautiful ceremony taking place beneath the lovely archway of white and purple lilacs.

Maranya looked from the sleeping twins, cuddled with their stuffed bears, in her and Antonio's laps to her husband with a fond, warm smile that was matched by him. "The bears worked like a charm," she whispered. They held hands while they witnessed the rest of the beautiful ceremony.

Brian leaned to Jenai more so, taking her hand in his and adorning it with a kiss. "I love you," he whispered. The twins were watching, still somewhat awestruck by the wave of emotion felt all around.

In the silence that followed the blessing, Piper glanced at her daughter, draped over Des' lap in order to get the best view. Lyneth was apparently absolutely enthralled, though she knew that wasn't going to last. She hadn't heard a peep out of the little girl for a full twenty minutes, and as her glance turned away, she saw why. As Lyneth's mouth opened to ask something - no doubt loudly - Des popped a white chocolate button into it.

A shy smile bloomed on Elaine's lips as she turned to the couple. "Now, hold hands and say this together after me."

"We swear by peace and love to stand, heart to heart and hand to hand."

"We swear by peace and love to stand, heart to heart and hand to hand." Rhi squeezed Eregor's hand as they responded in unison.

"Mark, O Spirit, and hear us now, confirming this our sacred vow."

"Mark, O Spirit, and hear us now, confirming this our sacred vow." Eregor held Rhi's eyes as they responded together, smiling.

Elaine looked out over the crowd before she spoke again, "Tonight, we ask that the infinite light of the divine shine upon this union. In that spirit, I offer a blessing to this ceremony." She looked from the crowd to the couple and lifted her arms to the sky.

"Blessed be this marriage with the gifts from the east — new beginnings that come each day with the rising sun, communication of the heart, mind, body and soul."

"Blessed be this marriage with the gifts of the south — the light of the heart, the heat of passion, and the warmth of a loving home."

"Blessed be this marriage with the gifts of the west — the rushing excitement of a raging river, the soft and pure cleansing of a rainstorm, and a commitment as deep as the ocean itself."

"Blessed be this marriage with the gifts of the north — a solid foundation on which to build your lives, abundance and growth of your home, and the stability to be found by holding one another at the end of the day."

She let her arms drop to her sides and looked to her cousins.

"By the powers vested in me as a duly appointed justice of the peace for Rhydin, I now pronounce the two of you husband and wife."

"And now, the part that I know they've been waiting for." She grinned mischievously. "Eregor, Rhiannon ....kiss each other!" Rhiannon's headpiece had no veil attached, so, there was nothing in the way when she leaned toward Eregor.

No sooner had the words been spoken than a small voice from the gathered witnesses called out at the top of her lungs. "Smooch 'er good, Rerrygort!"

And so he did.

"Oh, dear lord ..." Piper went almost crimson at this declaration from her daughter, laughing as she put her hands together to applaud the coming together of the bride and groom.

Lyneth grinned down at her - she was standing on her seat, one arm wrapped around Des' neck, bouncing on her toes with excitement. It had been hard work keeping her quiet during the ceremony, but apparently now the gloves really were off. Allowed full voice, the tiny girl waved at her friend from her prominent position. "'Ullo, Maggie!"

Hearing her name, Maggie looked around and waved excitedly to her friend, Lyneth. "Hiya, Lynnie!! You gonna have pizza and come swimmin' with us?"

"Yes!" Lynnie answered without thinking, but quickly turned her eyes to Piper and Des hopefully. "Can I?"

Piper's eyes rolled in soft amusement, but she wasn't going to say no. It was a rare day when she ever said no to someone else wanting to take her daughter's adorable, but exhausting enthusiasm off her hands for an hour or so. "So long as you promise to behave yourself, yes."

Beaming, Lyneth waved at Maggie again. "I'm comin'! An' I don't got a swimmy cozzie, but no one's gonna lookit me nekkies!"

"Aw, heck, Lynnie we can find somethin' for you to swim in! Aunt Nicole's gonna take us. Mama and Da want some smooching time!" Maggie laughed loudly and Catie giggled.

"Maggie!" the elder Rhiannon gently chided her daughter.

Maggie just point as if to say See!

Des rolled his eyes at Lyneth's outburst, though he was chuckling in amusement. It was hard to get angry with Lyneth, even when she knew she was misbehaving, and he had a bad habit of indulging her. "Hush, you," he warned with another tweak of her nose. "Or no ice cream later," he threatened without malice as he drew her into his lap so she wouldn't draw too much attention away from the newly-wedded couple.

Behind the exuberance of Lyneth and her respective adults, Liv was giggling into Johnny's arm as she clapped, celebrating the union as loudly as she could with just her hands. "Aren't you glad we didn't have someone like that little one at our wedding?" she grinned, watching as Lyneth was manhandled down onto her seat once again.

Johnny was unable to suppress his laughter at Lyneth's outburst, even as he echoed Liv's applause. "Maybe we'll have a little girl like her someday," he whispered back with a soft smile. Now that they were married, there was nothing Johnny and Liv wanted more than a family, but for now they would have to be satisfied with a niece and two nephews. And who knew" Maybe Rhiannon and 'Rerrygort' would give them another baby to fawn over sometime in the near future.

Romance, summer sun, and an enthusiastic gathering of friends and family ....it was enough to bring a smile to anyone's face. Liv leaned close to kiss her own husband with fond affection, wishing Rhiannon and Eregor all the happiness in her own heart for all the long years of their lives to come.

Having set down the program beside him, Victor loudly applauded as the newly married couple kissed. After a moment, he stood up and clapped louder yet, a fierce grin on his face.

"Rerrygort." Shy laughed when the child shouted out the nickname for all to hear. Once Victor stood up she, too, eased off the chair and joined in applauding the newlyweds along with the others gathered on this special day. Dimples deepened with her widening smile as additional hollering, whistling, and stomping of feet took place while the bride and groom smooched.

"Their wedding went very well." His attention turned back to Shy, his smile bigger still. His hands ceased to clap and moved to encircle her waist.

"I helhjertet agree, Kjaereste. 'Twas a marvelous ceremony, indeed. And they certainly are a wonderful couple!"

Marissa smiled brightly. This was a happy event, and she was happy to have been a part of it. She was happy for Rhiannon and Eregor, and she hoped they would be happy in their new life together.

Rachael's white lace gloved hands were brought together in fervent applause for the happy couple. A rare smile twitched to her lips.

"Huzzah!" The Ravenlock twins cried out in unison, as the pair erupted from their seats clapping loudly, and whistling to boot! Their reaction more likened to a touchdown scored at a football game indeed, as they then broke into as bit of a touchdown dance atop their seats with about a seconds worth of pause to see if their parents noticed.

Brian and Jenai were applauding as well, and upon seeing their parents celebrating as well, the twins went back to it.

"Such a wonderful ceremony, love." Brian leaned to Jenai and kissed that cheek of hers, as he threw a wink to the celebrating twins who in turn began to wind down their fervor. "That was awesome!" the twins cried out in unison.

"Yes it was baby, I am so happy for them." Jenai replied in kind.

The redhead and her husband joined in the applause, smiling warmly at the conclusion of the proceedings. "Congratulations!" she called, knowing that even if the happy couple could not hear the salutation now there would be plenty of opportunities to convey her happiness later, at the reception. Psly stood, pausing enough to smooth kilt and resettle sporran, and brought his fingers to mouth to produce a cheery whistling sound. Jaycy chuckled and rolled her eyes, elbow extending into his side at the display. "Stop that, this is an elegant affair."

He grinned down at her, dark green eyes briefly glinting amber in the only physical sign of rebellion at her rebuke. However, he returned to a more muted applause, feigning a demure posture to appease his long-suffering wife. He leaned in, asking quietly, "....make you wish we had a bigger affair for ours?"

Hands stilled and then slowly dropped down toward her sides as she contemplated the question. "No," she finally returned, "....because the important part wouldn't change, no matter how big or small it was. You." He chuckled, brushing the backs of his fingers across her bare but scarred left shoulder. They shared a private, gentle smile, then returned their attention to the blessed occasion and the others all around them.

Rena smiled at the words spoken and rose with the rest of the wedding guests and clapped for the newly married couple. She could see how very happy Rhi and Eregor were and knew their life together was going to be good. Comments came to her from other guests sitting nearby and she nodded slightly as she heard snippets of other ceremonies that had taken place before. The program was tucked into her purse as she waited for the wedding party to exit before she joined the crowd following them.
