"Where is mother?"
Erwyn had set out in search of her mother that morning. It was pretty as always, the sun's rays pierced the forest canopy here and there with stabs of gold sparkles while the leaves rustled as a breeze pushed its way through the branches. Teleperien, Erwyn's mother, usually joined Erwyn at breakfast or the midmorning cup of tea. She hadn't shown up at either. In fact, the Blessed Realm was more quiet than usual. The cavalcade of elves didn't make much noise as it was and now it seemed almost deafeningly quiet.
She spotted two elves as they seemed to almost rush toward the center of the realm where all the higher-ranked members of Valinor dwelled. Erwyn quickly caught up and began following them.
Elves surrounded the dwelling place in silence, intent on hearing all that was said. Erwyn peered past the crowd to see her mother, Alatar, Gandalf, Eonwe, Galaderial and anyone who held any rank had gathered, speaking in lowered urgent voices. Tele must have felt Erwyn's presence for she turned and looked right at the young elf.
"Erwyn, please join us." Tele's voice was a little strained but laced with excitement. The elves turned to look as Erwyn shouldered her way through the crowd and cross to her mother.
"Yes" What has happened?" Erwyn asked, her curiosity now stoked. Tele beamed and said to her;
"We're going home.?
