Topic: Quotable Quotes: The Obligatory Out-Of-Character Thread

Ah, yes, the ubiquitous out-of-character thread. I shouldn't have to explain the purpose of this thread, right?

Not that all that many will be using it.

But for those that wish to, feel free to leave a note!

I'm ever so indulged in the rich favor you've catered to me by allowing Ane to grow with the spring of an idea.

I promise to take good care of the trio in my creative endeavors. I look forward to the future for them all. Keep up the amazing work!

Brilliant! I also really like that song...and am totally not surprised to see it here. :-)

Okay...simply for my own amusement (and the amusement of others as well), I'm creating a thread for the funny sh*t I see on a daily basis. Whether its just something funny from the Live RP Lobby, something I read in a post, or what I like to call the 'No-Sh*t Headlines,' feel free to stick it here.

Or you can just stick it. Whatever.

So I'm re-dedicating this thread to both my Quotables and OOC Commentary/Guestbook thread.

And, of course, re-posting everything from the Quotables thread to this one, because for some reason there's no way to merge posts.

All in this one post.

And now, for the first funny thing to go in this post:

The Alpha Cologne Radio Spot

In particular, this part:

Alpha, the new cologne by Harris, is chock full of so much manly goodness you'll be shaving each morning with shuriken grenades! Comprised of lumberjack tears, whiskey, unicorn sweat, and gunpowder, this cologne will officially make you a man! And if you're already one then it'll make you two!

Seriously, if you're not laughing at this, go and shoot yourself, because there is no humor in your life.

Kudos to Harris for his sheer comedic genius. Ed's going to have to buy some just because that commercial rocked.

First and foremost I wish to extend to all those that participated in last night's 2011 RhyDin Gubernatorial Debate my compliments on one of the best nights of live RP I've had since I started playing back when the Internet was still a relatively new thing (before AOL sunk their claws into it). I have to admit I was impressed with each and every one of the candidates (even the ones that conflicted with Ed's interests) for their answers and their interaction with each other and the audience. I can't remember the last time I enjoyed playing this much.

To the participating audience as well, of whom there are too many to mention, for the first point of there being no bullsh*t drama brought into the mix, some jerk supervillain crashing through the roof and killing someone (as I've read about happening elsewhere), or bomb threats. (The latter might have been fun as a storyline thing, if it were something thought out beforehand...but I digress.) Everyone, from Harris and Clover (and the candidates, and random people throughout the room) plugging Alpha cologne from the booth set up at the back, to Alain DeMuer (whose question set off probably the best and most interesting part of the debate), to Morana and her hosting/refereeing/question posing that kept everything in an understandable order, to Mr. Howe and his dropping in at the end to stir things up, and all you others I didn't mention, you all rocked!

And now - last, but certainly not least - I wanted to mention this post.

there's too much there for me to quote, though I will put in the portion that concerns me (vanity is such a great motivator!):

Edward Batten " You got some character there! Witty, quick and is that a Cajun accent' It sure does sound like it! Looking forward to playing more with you! Edward already has all the earmarks of being one of the powerful movers and shakers!

As a matter of fact that is a Cajun accent, and thank you for noticing! And for your compliments as well. I wanted to say in return that it's nice to see a villain for a change that can come into Live RP and not make a total mess of things for everyone else, and also it's awesome that you don't mind someone heckling your character without getting offended. I won't count the number of times I've played a character that's an a$$hole by their nature and have been told that (by association) I must be as bad as they are. (The fact that it may be true is beside the point.)

Anyway, going back to the post as a whole, it's not often (if ever) that I've seen someone taking the time to type out a compliment to so many others, and having been so inspired I encourage everyone to take a look at the post by clicking here.

So I'm looking in the Rhy'din Post folder to see what goes on in the news today, and I see this article.

I love satire, especially well-written satire,

On a related note, this article is pretty funny too.

And there you have it.

On another, more humorous note, check this out.

Okay, one more for you.

Seriously, folks, if you can't laugh at yourself, you have no sense of humor. Even Will Rogers agrees with that.

And without further ado, have yourself a laugh at my expense.

I just wanted to apologize for vanishing so abruptly last night to all those I was playing with. You can thank my boss for being a cheap bastard and relegating us to stay in a cheap motel without wifi, forcing me to rely on an unsecured connection nearby that appears to be a residence. Last night I'm thinking someone forgot to pay the bill, because I started getting Time Warner 'please pay your past due amount to restore your service' pages.

The problem seemed to be fixed this morning before I went to work, so I should be back around tonight.

Just wanted to stop in and thank you for posting in our OOC....figured I would offer up the same. And what do I find? Lots of fun and kind words. You as a player rock and your characters do too! (ie. Ed and Dark Ranger)

But....I have to ask....when do we get to see the other Heroes in action too' I would be very interested in seeing them work as a team. The friendship and cohesion of them as a collective is awesome reading. (For those who aren't reading the stories on this board, you really should! There is an easiness shared between them that suggests long time friendships and stories yet to be told.)

Back to the team thing, we really should set something up where all the Heroes have a chance to shine. Maybe a post' Since it may be inconvenient to get everyone on at once, it may be easier if we do it on the boards. Just a suggestion....and besides, I have some new villains coming that need some opportunities to exercise their badness. Heh.

Thanks....for everything! Lanette Player of Howe and too many others to list

P.S. Sorry about your current access and cheap accommodations. Hope you get home sooner rather than later!

So...back to business.

In regards to that, I would like to see it happen but haven't found a scenario where the presence of all three of them would be called for in the same place. Not to say it couldn't happen, it would just have to be something pretty big. I have no doubt in the weeks and months to come we'll have something happen along those lines, but it will definitely have to be done in post rather than live play.

I have thoroughly enjoyed the comic relief and such I ave seen thus far, especially as it pertains to me. Criticism, compliments, comments, or poking fun. (I draw the line at bashing, and have not a problem with deleting posts.)

And on a related note...

...wow. Just...wow.

Mr. Howe

Welcome back!!

Yeah, posts works for us too. Figure it would have to be an EVENT to get the entire gang suited up and active. Not too much of an issue with the introduction of COPE, they have the toys and the bodies to put on quite the show. We should take a little time to work out details, PMs, IMs or emails as that will allow us to keep the details under wraps. Heh, keep the audience on their toes that way.

Looking forward to the evil plotting! Lanette

P.S. I never pay mind to the bashing, I would advise that no one should as it works against community building. Delete it if you can, or ignore it if you can't and move on past it is my credo. The goal behind FFRP is to have fun. Whatever your fun is, it is your right to have it.

So, we'll start things off with the Heroes, Inc. Soundtrack. One part cheese, one part awesome and one part rockin' out, this is a sampling of the music I listen to when writing for my heroes.

The Heroes, Inc. Soundtrack

Secondly, I just wanted to say thanks to all those that have been asking for Ed & Co. to be involved in their various storylines (no matter in how small a way). Poor ol' Ed is going to find himself very busy in the near future, it looks like, and I wanted to shout out to a few of those that have been making things so interesting.

Alain DeMuer - I am having a blast with the Live Fire thread, and have read through multiple stories in your folder, which I find fascinating to no end, as well as intricate and well-thought-out. I'm looking forward to more interactions with you and yours in the future!

Sophie Rhovnik - Wow. Remind me not to let one of my characters piss her off.

Gage Sammeal, Reap, PJ Ramirez - It's a long time in coming, but thanks for being the catalyst that saw the first public display of the Ranger, for the awesome fight scenes in those few times we have played and for the interesting reading. Hope to see you again!

Zansanette Daystar - Holy creepfest! Here there be monsters, crawling in the lakes, the streams, Rhy'din Harbor and even in the SEWERS! I have a few idea for stories on a couple of fronts for the heroes and other characters to brawl it out with your awesomely horrific spawn, and I can't wait to hear what you think of them.

Francine Renton - Oh, this just gets better and better. I have no doubt she's going to cause Ed no end of trouble and/or fun.

Mr. Howe and DCH - Resurrecting Renna, assassins galore and the upcoming COPE storyline! :rubbing hands together: Sooo many things to look forward to...

Lelah - Between live RP and the stories in your folder, I have to say I find myself endlessly entertained by the little drama your actress seems to generate, whether professionally or personally. Thanks for letting Ed be a part of it!

To any other men, women, monsters, and aliens I might have missed because there are just too many to mention - You guys all rock!

Last but by no means least, My Inspiration - You know who you are. Thank you so much for everything you are and everything you've done - without you I might have lost interest in this whole project before it really got going.

As always, thanks to everyone for being so awesome, for great ideas and great stories. Keep reading, writing, and enjoying!

Well, I'm not sure what you mean by 'one of us,' unless you mean a fan. Being an avid reader of...well, everything, I have of course gone through a lot of folders, stories, threads, etc., and among my favorite reads just so happens to be about the entire contents of the Scathachian folder. :) And it being in catacombs since I arrived here on RDI, I was wondering if/when they'd ever be making it back!

I do so hope that the whole Bhaal storyline makes a return appearance, though as I've understood from my readings it's hard to say, there seem to be contradictory reports on that subject...but if they do, with everything else going on, it's going to make life very interesting for the heroes here in Rhy'din!

LdyBelial

Oh, Don't worry! We're gonna have the Fangs back!!! Already on it babe! ::grins.:: It's been a busy morning but hey, getting the Fangs back together is totally rocking!!!

As for what I meant....I was asking if you were one of the players in the group....As, well....if it isn't obvious by now, I was....and AM AGAIN! ::yes, still doing the happy dance!:: Many of us have kept in contact, and now we are going to rally for Giminicka's player to get her lovely arse back here ASAP!!! (We love the G!!!!!!)

The Fangs are no where near done! We've got a lot of bad things left to do. Heh. My girl was gonna do bad things with or without the board's return....now, however, I will have a place to post it!!!

As for the Sisters....Mine is still on the damn boat, but having the board back is one step closer to having her in Rhy'Din!!!

Hmph....Couldn't tell you were a newer addition to DM. Excellent writing and play from ya'll so far, so figured you had to be an old timer. Glad you found your way to DM though!!!

We'll have to work something out between the Heroes and the Fangs!

So, first, that's all very awesome to know! And no, I'm not a player from here. I've spent a lot of time playing on IRC freeform chat rooms in various places, and I made a habit of creating different characters to play - essentially I was another version of some of the NPC players I've seen in chat, like Non Ludius. (I'm pretty sure there are others, but that's the one that immediately springs to mind.)

As a side note, if you haven't tried playing one, you should. It's a lot of fun sometimes to play some 'nameless face in the crowd' type, or occasionally some havoc-wreaking bad guy, or a faceless hero, and it challenges your imagination like you wouldn't believe, if you try to keep the faces different every time you play.

Secondly, For FioHelston, Ed would definitely approve of your method of using his gift. Personally, I would've drank it myself, but I figured you'd end up having her do something like that. ;-)

And, last but not least...

One trick can of chips: $2.

Calling in the bomb squad because you think it might be an assassination attempt: $10,523.

Hiring Rhydin's most exuberant and hilarious singing telegram company to deliver a very loud and colorful message, along with a bill: $243.

Seeing the look everyone involved's faces: priceless.

I just wanted to take a moment to say that this character is genius.

I especially like the signature, which most won't be able to read, and says:

So on reading the description of the Vindicator (whom you can read about battling Ed/The Ranger here), I was inspired to create the following image, based on another that I found a long time ago when I was contemplating making a female variant of the Ranger's suit. Hopefully, she'll like it.

Do not delude yourself, Baron. Howe is a raging impulsive amoeba, driven by his desire to dominate and destroy.

Quite possibly one of the best Howe-related quotes I've run into (and I've run into a few). This one is from a thread in the House DeMuer folder.

Sorry I've been lazy and unseen lately, but real life likes to rear it's head and remind you it still exists occasionally. Fear not, however, as there is always more fun and mayhem to come!

Edward Batten

Again, I'm here to apologize for my lack of activity here, as I've been busy with other projects, both here and in the so-called real world. I will say that I'm in part waiting for a few other threads to pick up again, because without them Ed's story kinda goes nowhere fast.

That being said I owe at least one person some time to conclude a scene that's been sitting on hold for a few months now, and I'm pretty sure I owe one or two people some play time, which (I promise) I will get to.

In the meantime I'm still enjoying the writings of others on the board, whom are too numerous to mention here. Keep up the awesomeness, peoples!

Brief write up of last night's fun....with reaction to follow ;)

http://rdi.dragonsmark.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=20963

Edward Batten

Date: 2011-09-20 10:45 EST
So, we start off with the quote of the day. Those that were present for last night's figurative fireworks in the Inn and Back Alley will, without a doubt, understand immediately.

"We think that hating is a weapon that attacks the person who harmed us. But hatred is a curved blade. And the harms we do, we do to ourselves."

- Mitch Albom

And speaking of last night's fireworks...

HOLY CRAPSICLES!

So, firstly I want to pass out a HUGE thanks to EVERYONE that participated last night, in whatever way they decided to contribute - last night's play was some of the most fun I've had in a long time in live RP, complete with fighting, killing, things blowing up, and one shocking betrayal that will send ripples throughout Rhy'din!

Brian Ravenlock: HOLY HELL, man! I did NOT see that coming, not in a hundred - hell, not in a MILLION years! That twist alone made the WHOLE evening, by far, a very different occasion from what things started out to be, for just about everyone involved, including the villain! FREAKIN' SPECTACULAR! In all seriousness, that ONE THING made the WHOLE evening, and without a doubt makes the start of a storyline that was already big to begin with start to look HUGE!

Issy: I never thought there would be any point where Issy would be brought to the point of tears by anyone, and for DAMN sure not by the one who managed it. Issy's been locked in jail, her sisterhood threatened by an unseen enemy, seen friends killed, but never have I seen her left speechless and openly hurt that way! Awesome job playing last night!

Renna, the Betrayer: Well, the evening didn't end up the way you planned (at least from what you told me), but I have to say, your gift for adapting to twists, turns and the input of everyone involved never ceases to amaze me. And now she has a shocking, powerful new ally...oh, I SO cannot wait to see what?s coming next!

Trixie McCallister: VERY nice to see you again! You should come out more often!

Grem, Ebon Ilnaren, Katt, Raye, GentleRestraint, HX-909-A, Icer1978, and the others I'm probably forgetting in she shuffle: All of you were great! Seriously, it's not just the major players that make a story, particularly here - they may be the meat and potatoes of a storyline, but the characters that get caught in the middle, that watch fearfully from the sidelines or leap into the fray when they're not even a part of things are what gives it flavor. Awesome and a thumbs up to everyone!

So here's looking forward to the start of something new that looks like it's going to be epic! And, just to add some tequila to this mixture, we have the pending return of Giminicka!

So sweet! BRING IT ON, B*TCHES!

So this morning I would like to share something with you all that was shown to me last night.

You will be outraged. You will get angry. I can pretty much guarantee that - unless you're some sick, cold-hearted, inhumanly uncaring person - you will be shocked and offended by the fact that there are so many people like this in the world.

Especially if you have children of your own.

Feel free to express your outrage below, but most of all share this around. This sort of thing should be seen.

You got me back on FB before I was ready....thanks for that! ;-) I got all caught up in being social and whatnot....Heh.

I shared the vid. I am going to repeat what I wrote there here for those who haven't yet found me on FB....Why' Because this is relevant info every parent should know. Whether you live in suburbia, a city or out in the boondocks, the following information may one day save your child! How do I know? I used to teach this stuff back in the 90's at schools while promoting fingerprinting and head shots.

FB Post: "For those who have kids out there, teach them to yell "Fire" first as many will come to see what?s on fire where few may answer the call for help. Also, teach your children to kick, scream, bite, scratch, hit, do whatever it takes to get away from anyone attempting to "take" them. The more they fight, the more attention it will draw. Any attention is good, the more witnesses the better....as we all should already be aware eye-witness testimony is subject to the individual and can prove unreliable - the more witnesses the clearer the picture."

Keep your kids safe, not ignorant. Yes, I know, we all want our kids to have childhoods, remain naive and innocent as long as they can....But not teaching your child personal safety isn't sparing them anything. In fact, not teaching them what to do in dire situations could be the end of them. So....don't over think it, follow the advice of experts, consult your local law enforcement agencies and schools. Learn how to keep your children as safe as they can be.

Lanette Yes....paranoid but with reasonable foundation.

797,500 children (younger than 18 ) were reported missing in a one-year period of time studied resulting in an average of 2,185 children being reported missing each day.

Grem

Date: 2011-10-29 13:53 EST
Also, teach your children to kick, scream, bite, scratch, hit, do whatever it takes to get away from anyone attempting to "take" them.

Good advice for the situation. Just yelling (even "you're not my dad!") could be a tantrum. I've seen kids acting like the girl in that video (yes, sometimes including "you're not my dad/mom" kind of things) with people I knew were their parents or step parents. That could be where part of the lack of action comes from. If it's more than just yelling and some flailing, it's a lot more obvious that there's real distress.

The bystander effect is an absolutely real thing, though (and this business about it being a study done "a couple years ago" isn't right - it's been known about since at least Kitty Genovese's murder in '64, and there was a study done about it a few years later, even if there was nothing before that). The justification is and always has been "there are enough people around that someone else will act, and someone else probably knows better what to do," though it's mostly subconscious. Without a lot more people having training to get them past that instinct, it's always going to be around.

LdyBelial

Date: 2011-10-29 14:56 EST
Wish there was a "Like" button....I would have used it on your post Grem Player!! And that you know the case of Kitty Genovese! I admit I am impressed!!!

The murder of Kitty Genovese....It scared the heck outta me! It is practically the birth of the scream-"fire"-instead-of-"help" theory, which btw works! People are curious about fire....they are much more likely to investigate where they are less certain of getting involved in a violent situation.

It was the case of Adam Walsh that would later inspire the "kick, scream, bite, hit" theory....which has also proven to work. The more attention the child can bring to the situation the better! Fighting for one's life is a LOUD red flag and whether people want to get involved or not they will remember it.

I believe in preaching the tactic of follow your gut — if it tells you something is wrong go with it! Be wary of your common sense as it will often tell you to run or ignore the situation, (that doesn't mean ignore your common sense, if you can't take the aggressor on, then don't try!)

Huge fan of criminology/profiling here! Have studied it for years. What I walked away with is this simple fact: Always be situationally aware. Even the smallest detail may help.

Let me first apologize to all my readers out there who may (or may not - ya never really know) miss me, and my writings, which I realize I am far, far behind on. What with holidays and unruly children and working and...well, the list goes on, and I'm sure many of you can relate.

Anyway...I am in the process of writing a thread to explain Ed's current whereabouts, which has been alluded to in live play a few times here and there. I also owe posts in several places under different names, which I promise I will be getting to now that my hours have been switched to days. Hopefully I'll be around in live play more, too, as things calm down again.

To those who have been waiting so patiently, you have my thanks, and I promise your patience will not go unrewarded.

Here's hoping it's a happy New Year for all!

And now for the quote of the day, courtesy of our very own Issy, taken from live roleplay:

Issy: ::Her back leaned against the bar as she lifted the bottle once more and listened to the discussion at hand. She had learned that when Renna was the subject, it was best if she was quiet. Mostly because the chant of "Filet the bitch!" over and over wasn't really the heroic thing to say::

What's really bad (and even more hilarious) is that there are plenty who would probably join in on that chant.

Thanks to Issy for the quote and to Renna as the inspiration behind it, that chaotic, destructive b*tch we all love to hate so very much. You guys rock!

I know everyone's heard about the SOPA and IP-Protect bills, which I am sure most (if not all) of us find reprehensible, to say the least.

Okay, I'm being polite. What I mean to say is this is a draconian pile of bull**** legislation that needs to be stopped before it screws with my second biggest source of entertainment and inspiration (the first, of course, being Adult Swim).

SO - if you are interested, if you value your freedom and your rights and your Internet, let your voice be heard!

SIGN THE PETITION!

Grem

Date: 2012-01-18 10:21 EST
What he said. These bills are plain unconstintutional.

It's hard to say which petitions will carry the most weight, so here are a couple more to consider signing.

http://stopcensorship.org/ http://americancensorship.org/ http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:CongressLookup - not a petition, just a tool to get you the contact info for your reps so you can tell them more directly that this legislation is bull.

Rhiannon Brock

Date: 2012-01-18 23:21 EST
To add to what Grem said: If you don't know who the US Senators from your state are, here's the gov link: http://www.senate.gov/general/contact_information/senators_cfm.cfm

If you don't know who your Congressional representatives are, another gov link: https://writerep.house.gov/writerep/welcome.shtml

Before you go to that link, make sure you know your Zip+4. https://tools.usps.com/go/ZipLookupAction!input.ac tion A space needs to be deleted from the link. Adding the Url code blanks the entire post.

Hello again, ladies and gents, and thanks for stopping by my little corner.

I know it's been a while since anything got posted here, but I'm sure most (if not all) of you know how these things go - real life and all that. Thanks to a new job, the holiday season, and other mitigating factors, I've been a bit delayed.

But I promise, there are things in the works - I just need the time to put them all together.

Keep on the lookout for updates and new posts, coming soon!

Ah, yes, indeed, I finally got the Batten Tower post up, which I've been meaning to do for ages.

And it only takes four hours, thank you. If it takes them five it's because they're slacking. +crazy+

After a few requests and some consideration (as well as much laziness in actually doing it), I've gone to the trouble of putting both of my play scripts written for my local theatrical studio (known here as Studio 400) production of 24 Hour Theater up on Google Docs.

If you don't know what I'm talking about, see this post.

Now, a couple things to keep in mind here...

First, I wrote these in the space of about three to four hours each, roughly between the hours of 2 AM to 6 AM, after not having any rest the entire day beforehand.

Second, prior to writing the second play I'm putting up links to, I had never written a song in my life, and hadn't written anything that could be described as 'poetry' for at least ten (and probably more like twelve) years.

The melody for the song was written by someone else, because I know nothing about writing music. I just did the lyrics - unfortunately I don't have the music that goes with it. Feel free to make up whatever melody you think suits the song.

To sum up, if there are parts of these scripts that sound a little awkward or just don't make sense...now you know why.

Now, without further ado, here are your links. Enjoy!

Oh, The Insanity!

I always thought it was a neat thing that Tasha Van Blaudin did these and I had one done for Katt because ..well...I was curious and they were always fun to read. So i figured I would share what she did as a reading for Katt.

Katt Week of the Titan Born of the Star Titania Birthdate: December 14th Mode: Intuition Element: Fire

Strengths: Big-hearted, Self-Assured, Aspiring Weaknesses: Self-Unaware, Secretly Unsure, Fussy

Those born underneath the influence of this star think on a Grand Scale Their minds are usually geared toward big projects They dislike pettiness in all forms, they see the total picture first, and generally avoid getting hung upon the details. They are big-hearted and give shamelessly They reach for the stars while keeping both feet solidly on the ground; their ambitions and aspirations are firmly rooted in the here and now. They can be physically imposing even while being small of stature, there is simply something about them that hints at a powerful core. They aren't easily gotten rid of, hard to bamboozle by airy schemes or faulty reasoning It can be dangerous to come between them and their goals, for once they have their mind made up they move with lightning speed. Their friends and family learn soon enough what a given mood foretells—quiet or action. There are moody and disturbing elements to their personality that can strain relationships They often internalize external pressure and can become easily depressed For them, these dark moods can be an essential mode of survival that allows them to withdraw from the world and ruminate over a problem Their eruptions can be nothing short of volcanic; it is extremely important that they spend time with people who are sympathetic to them and with whom they can periodically unburden themselves as complaining is actually a healthy act for them; those who understand them welcome their occasional fussing and grumbling. They are drawn to magical and ecstatic experiences, they love impossible challenges, pulling of miracles and can be quite competitive. Their greatest enemy lurks somewhere deep inside, a well of insecurity that they may not be aware of. The most successful lovers and mates of those born beneath this star are those who can weave a magical spell around them, after first lulling them into letting their guard down. They actually enjoy being enchanted by those very special individuals who can lighten their load and lift the crushing burden of their personal responsibilities. They can be fooled and must be wary of falling prey to those enchanting few who do not have their well-being at heart.

Advice: "Learn to enjoy the little things. Try to be more understanding of yourself and your own personal needs. Stop putting others before yourself. Concentrate more of your energies on your own personal growth and find a way to blend in. "

So a certain someone who I will not name -coughed's playercough- has been teasing with posts. So there is stuff in the works. People should keep an eye out for those.

Is patience a virtue" Is it' Or is it an exercise of monumental proportions" Akin to a fledgling jedi trying to raise a ship from a swamp, or a student endeavoring to make the clock to move faster toward 3pm. Nay, patience is the art form that shall never be conquered, but merely sought. Like a true zen master, it is the waiting that brings enlightenment, not the reading of new material.

I do apologize for the long hiatus. There has been a lot going on with work, much of it meaning long and very tiring hours, and then there's been a steady supply of personal drama as well that's been taking up quite a bit of my creative energies. Rest assured, it will not last forever.

There's still entirely too much for us to do together.

I appreciate your patience, faithful readers and fellow writers, some of whom I count among my closest friends. I promise, your patience will be rewarded.

I was so tempted to link to the "Patience" PSA from the end of Spider-Man: Homecoming....but it didn't seem appropriate, as I certainly don't expect to be disappointed. ;)

An oldie, but a goodie. Elizabeth's scream at the end just makes the whole video that much funnier.
