Though the jewelry Miranda had won at the Yule Ball was lovely, she really had no need for it. Instead of locking it away somewhere for safe keeping, selling it for profit, or giving it away, why not put it to use for a good cause? After some consideration, she decided to put both sets of jewelry up for charity auction, with the proceeds going to the Rhy'Din Orphanage.

With that end in mind, she hired Darwin Appraisals and Auctions to put each set of jewelry up for secret auction to go to the highest bidder. Advertisements around the city state that bidding starts at 2,000 GP and will end promptly on Sunday, Jan. 11th, at 6 PM, at which time the highest bidder in each auction will be declared the winners.

Jewelry originally donated to the Yule Ball Charity Raffle by Katt Batten.

((OOC Note: If your character is interested in bidding for one of the sets of jewelry, PM me specifying which set you would like to bid on - or both - and let me know how much you are willing to bid. I will update this thread as bids come in and let people know what the current bidding stands at. This is an IC auction only. There will be no exchange of Silver Crowns. Whoever places the highest bid for each set of jewelry at the conclusion of the auction wins. Winners will be posted in this thread and notified via PM. All monies collected will go to benefit the Rhy'Din Orphanage.))

And the winner of the Charity Auction is Thorn!

Congratulations and many thanks for your very generous bid of 40,000 GP, all of which will be donated to the Rhy'Din Orphanage.

Thanks, also, to everyone who participated in the bidding! The Orphanage is very grateful for all your help!

And thank you to Katt Batten, without whose generous donation of these lovely sets of jewelry to the Yule Ball Charity Raffle, this auction would not have been possible.

Most importantly, every child wants and needs a good home, so please don't forget the orphans!
