Tonight I met another red-head. He was cute but damn if he didn't rub me the wrong way. Lucky I shared my pizza with him. Why did he rub me the wrong way' Why it was the look on his face when I kissed him. It was a chaste kiss to his temple in attempt to cheer him up but his face scrunched up like a kid being kissed by their least favorite aunt. Talk about hurting a gal's pride.

Note of Interest - Might have a job interview with his boss' boss.

Stayed long enough to have a few drinks then followed Lola home. I could tell when she first arrived that something was wrong. She always was a easy read. At first I thought it might be something family related again but found out it was Silviu - They had broke up.

It shocked me. Silviu seemed so smitten with her. To the point I was waiting to find a ring on Lola's finger! I bet Firecracker would of been bent sideways if he ever saw that.

When I arrived I found Lola on the couch with wine and music. She started without me. It didn't take much to set her into tears. Lola is hurting and it pisses me off. I understand the situation she and Silviu are in but it still pisses me off.

She cried a lot. I hope it helped her at least a little. I hate seeing her cry. We talked, cried, and talked some more. I just finished tucking her in. Poor thing cried herself to sleep.

Note of Interest - I finally told Lola about being a Majerian. She took it pretty well and it hasn't struck against our friendship at all. Maybe one day I will tell her about everything else. It is nice to have someone I can trust my secrets to and they will not be bled to the world.

I shouldn't be angry at Marek but that man shoved his foot so far down his throat that it is a shock he can still speak. He is fun to flirt with but I don't see myself being with someone like him. He reminds me too much of Barr. Still, I can't judge him based on the past. He has proven to be a good friend thus far.

Eless is a hoot! She has been dubbing a number of men with titles for us ladies. Finn the whiskey boy - He looks like he could pour a mean one too. Jacques the cheesecake boy - Just met the guy briefly but that accent is smooth. I can see him serving cheesecake. I suggested Reno as Oil boy if only to torture him. And what a torture that would be. Or would that be a favor? If that is the case I am going to withdraw my vote! I think she has dubbed someone oil boy anyways - I need to find out who.

I think Eless secretly wants dubbed Alaric as truffle boy because of my reaction. It has been years since a man has made my mind go blank with such little effort and Eless caught on I believe. I just met Alaric and his sister, Nina, tonight. They are both beautiful people so it is no surprise they are part of the Granger Clan. Grangers are all stunning people, really. I think Jon is even a movie star or something to that fashion.

I ended up leaving swiftly after the introductions with the Grangers. I might of actually been fleeing from Alaric and Eless but I would not confess that out loud. I used the excuse that I needed to cause mischief somewhere which wasn't far from the truth. I was just hours late in meeting Mags who came to visit me with some important Court business. I am not thrilled about the subject but ecstatic to see Mags.

It seems that one of my problems followed her in. Robert intercepted me on my way and the interaction was like it always is - short and annoying. His only interest in me is getting his hands on the Star Signet and I will not let him have it - sealed magic or not!

He actually grew a pair over the last few months. He actually struck out at me and if it had not been for his first mate, Logan, I think we would of had blown up a portion of the docks. I am bruised but I know for a fact he is too. For me it's just physical but for him it is both physical and pride. I hope he has been knocked off of that high horse and gives up on his goals.

I am not that lucky.

I was off of my game tonight. I guess the fight with Robert got to me more than expected. Or maybe it was his threat about sending assassins after me.

I didn't realize Gigi had been hurt until I had settled at my table with my cider. It makes sense her comment about hiding from Lo's hugs. We were a matching pair just hers were showing. Just like me I don't think she wanted to speak about where they came from. I hope she's okay.

It seems Gigi and Alaric have a past. They are both Grangers so it doesn't surprise me. Close knit cousins" Or are they like Jon and Correy"

Note of Interest - Correy fled from the inn like he had fire on his heels. It was very interesting to watch. I don't think I've ever heard Firecrackers stutter. I wonder if Alaric has the same effect on his own cousin. That's a hoot!

I need to get out of whatever daze I end up in when Alaric is in the room. I feel rude being shy with him. Shy' Maybe out of the ordinary is a better way to phrase it. Maybe it was the run in with Robert and being off my game.

Nina seems to be lively. I offered her to come sit with me but I think she missed the gesture. That is okay - Will get to the newly known Grangers more with time.

What a night! I don't even know where to begin. I guess I should start with the beginning.

I went out and finally grabbed a cell. Now time to fill it with numbers and pictures - once I figure out how to use the damn thing. Should of grabbed something more simple but what fun is that"

Stopped by the inn after my shopping. First thing I hear" Lola is having babies from someone named Chester" My first reaction was what the f-ck! Correy was there and he was pretty much on the same boat. How could Lola be pregs and not tell me"! And who is Chester"! Come to find out Taneth has a dog named Lola and it's going to have pups. I about had heart failure.

Speaking of heart failures. There was a event at the inn tonight with water balloons filled with various things: Jello, whipped cream, chocolate pudding was a few. And of course water. I was reluctant to join because I was wearing my favorite jacket but I grabbed a yellow balloon anyway. I was spending time figuring who to throw it at. Between Eless and Lola. I finally chose Eless and sent it flying. To my horror, my arm isn't as good as I wish it was. I hit Alaric - who was just walking in and had not even settled into the environment. The balloon hit him square in the chest and exploded into yellow whipped cream. All I could think was someone shoot me when he started stalking to me with a look that made me think of a stalking lion. I was so in trouble!

Note of Interest - And of course Eless dancing behind him mouthing truffle boy. The woman has a evil streak! Here I was in trouble and she was teasing! — When Eless started appointing boys I claimed that I was going to be taking truffle boy home. So Eless is 1+1 =ing. She is such a tease.

By the time I looked back to Alaric he was already upon me. I couldn't breath - not sure if it was because of him being so close or the fact that I was fearing his rage. Shockingly he wasn't. He took me up into a hug - If you want to call it as that. Really it was more like he was sharing the cream. Crushing me to him -

- God I don't even know what to put about that hug. It hurt because of the bruising but at the same time I was so lost that all I could do was laugh! I feel like such a featherbrain. And his hand gracing at my nape sent me swimming in the head which made it oh so easy for him to give me a face full of whipped cream. Serves me right!

I could rattle on about him but at this point I but shouldn't. I might get silly ideas. It did give me a start when the anger flared in his eyes and tone. He was down right pissed when he saw the bruise on my face. He seemed protective of me suddenly. Only person who had ever been that protective of me was Sebastian and that was because it was his duty - his job. Alaric had no reason. Maybe because I am a family friend" A friend? Or just a nice person.

The rest of the night was filled with flinging balloons. I rushed onto Eless and stuffed one down her dress. Hugged her to pop it that way she didn't just get whatever was in the balloon but the whipped cream and chocolate that I had been hit with by Lola. And water soon after by a man I don't know. Eless was one smushy delicious mess. So was Lola! She had cake on her!

As Lola and I cleaned up I found that she was going to the bank to get a loan for a new truck. Bout damn time. That truck of hers was on its last leg! I offered to help but she didn't want my money. Asked if she could use me as a reference. As if she needed to ask.

When she left things got quite interesting. Alaric had done something to piss off Nina. I am not sure exactly what it was but I witnessed her throwing a balloon at Alaric and hitting some other man. The panicked Nina ran behind Alaric for protection but he brought her over to the man who, I think, was trying to teach Nina a lesson in loosing up and having fun. Poor thing had a balloon of chocolate pudding smashed on her head.

Note of Interest - Nina is a bit of a spoiled princess, reminding me of Jea. I wonder if I hadn't been brought up the way I was if I wouldn't be just as spoiled. Maybe Nina will grow out of it while here in Rhydin. Have a bit more fun.

Alaric can use magic. The unrefined touch of it. He used a water cantrip to clean his sister off which only soaked her clothing flat to her skin. It was the first time in a long while that I've used magic in public but I dried her off. I shouldn't of done it, I know, but I was worried Nina would get sick.

Note of Interest - Later, after the Granger siblings left, Eless asked me when I was going to speak to Alaric about being truffle boy. I told her I wasn't. It's her job. She seems to think the little interaction between myself and Alaric at the bar was more than simple payback. I think she's reading too much into it - told her that.

Note of Interest - Still haven't heard back from Tseng or Tseng's boss. Guess I'll start looking around again for work - That thing with Tseng had been a long-shot anyways. Asked Eless about the pay at the inn working as a tender but don't think she heard me.

I was MIA for a couple of days in order to deal with Robert. I went to visit Mags and there he was. Again he attacked - this time he was going for my life. I didn't give him that chance and even while my innate magic is sealed to only a fraction I still was able to toss him into a wall.

After Logan and Troy dragged him back to his ship I got a earful from Dante. Of all people I do not want to hear a lecture of how to be careful with my magic and how it could kill me just to use it. I know Dante! I've been like this for a number of years now! I know that the seal leaves me fatigued every time I do the smallest thing.

In my state of exhaustion Mags talked me into returning with her to Elath. Any other time I would of avoided returning but I had an alternate reason. A reason enough that I could deal with the High Council. Sebastian and Pearl was absolutely thrilled to see me. Both kept the High Council off my back while I slipped into the library.

I took out a few books that I want to give to Emlyn and Alaric. Emlyn had been really excited when I told her about having a selection of the higher arcane tomes so I grabbed a few for her. I am not one hundred percent sure I want to give Alaric the books I picked out for him. I overheard he was going to school but I am not aware if it's for magic - I do not want to insult him or his skills. I am intrigued to the extent of his current ability and if he is really going to school for it.

Note of Interest - Does Nina dabble" If she doesn't, but possesses the ability, I think she should try. If anything it would be a good way to protect herself. Not that she needs it - I think she and Alaric are rarely parted from each other" I could be wrong. She could always use the protection from Alaric! In case he gets sneaky again! Haha.

I should talk to Lola about what is going on but I think that would only lead her to worrying every time I go out. That wouldn't do her pretty head any good. She has enough going on with family and her thing with Ollie.

Note of Interest - I haven't seen Ollie in a long time. Wonder if he saw me and got scared off!

I bumped into Lola and Jon at the inn, for the short period I was there. Lola told me she got the loan and is getting a magic-infused truck. I think that is what she meant but it sounded a bit like the truck is a P.O.S. I tried to offer her a loan from me. Less interest and annoyance! She could pay me back at her leisure. But stubborn Lola is a stubborn Lola. I respect her want to do it on her own but jeez! It is better to get something good and will last a long time! Oh well. I stick by her decision! Good thing I got a cell now, just in case.

Note of Interest - Jon had given me a tiny glance and spoke to Lola in a way that seemed as if he wanted to speak in privacy with his family member so I left them to that. I could of been over imagining the look. I still over heard them - Lola isn't exactly quiet when she's excited. It seems Jon and Correy are going away on a little escape with each other to NY. To find rings. They are getting engaged! I am totally thrilled for them!I better get to do the wedding!

Sorry! I went to sleep before writing in you but I was just so damn tired. With everything that has been happening with Robert and Mags and - I am tired. I am tired of being the Guardian and tired of being hounded by the High Council for not being the pretty pretty princess they want me to be. Jea is doing a fine job of being Queen.

The night was one tornado - so many things happening. I decided to dress extra nice and daring and regretted it before the night was even up. William - who thinks my name is Jessica because he is all knowing - asked me on a date. Rhys told him he should ask me on a date, when all I wanted was food. Tried to get him to go make me something in the kitchen and he was too lazy to do. He had no problem with letting me know that he was lazy. He actually asked me on a date. Told me to wait before answering - took out his wallet and checked his funds. In front of me! Told me I could answer once he was done. I told him quickly that I just wanted food not a date. Rhys was a smart ass and gave me some bar peanuts. I decided if I was going to be fed that I was going to have to do it myself so I went to the kitchen.

When I came out there was Lola and Correy. Soon followed by Gigi and Luke. I swear Luke and Rhys made me feel like I was a hooker. Rhys was right - I am not in things for a one-nighter but even still I am not going to be dressing that daring again for some time.

Ollie actually stopped by! I was shocked to see him and Lo was beside herself. It seemed Ollie had something for her.

Note of Interest - Correy called me gorgeous. Can't say lately I have been feeling anywhere near pretty let alone gorgeous. Unlike the Granger Clan I have to work toward looking nice! Haha. But it was sweet of him. Both he and Gigi piped up about whaling on Robert if I would just give the word. It is so tempting but I wouldn't put them in danger like that. It was still very thoughtful of them.

Note of Interest - Rhys isn't a bright bulb. He went after the stew with a shotgun. Scared the crap out of us all!

I overheard Ollie and Lola talking about something - Ollie asked Lola if I cleaned up well. It hurt. It was suppose to be a tease on Ollie's part but it was ill timed or maybe I just took it too offensively when I shouldn't of. I stalked off to the bathroom to freshen up and I think that alarmed Ollie that I was hurt.

When I came out things were a mess. Before I knew it Ollie was grasping Correy's jacket by the collar and pinning him into the bar. Ollie looked different - a bit scary. I can't remember ever seeing him lose his head like that before. After very minimum coaxing from us - Lola and I - Ollie released Correy and started to leave. I think it would of been best if it would of ended there. Ollie was sorry for what he did and needed time to cool off. I think if he had been given that time he would of - maybe - apologized to Correy.

I went to go talk to him but before I could get there Gigi had tackled into him. They took into brawling like it was second breath. I tried to break it up by pulling Ollie back but instead he pushed me back - protecting me from getting in the middle and being hit. Again I am baffled by someone protecting me. The fight lasted for a bit and even though I used magic to try to pry them apart it was Jon and Lola who really did some good. Ollie melted into a sobbing mess against Lola and Gigi stormed off into the inn. Jon had been hit accidentally in the fight and Correy was taking care of him. I was drawn on what to do but since Ollie had Lola and Jon had Correy - I went to check on Gigi. She wanted to be left alone that much was obvious so I went to check on Eless who looked like she was trying to hide away in her seat.

Lola came in later. She looked so pale. I think the fight was heavy on her heart and effected her the most. She still found it necessary to tease me with some whipped cream. Between her and Eless I am not sure how I am going to keep myself straight!

Note of Interest - Eless has appointed me with asking truffle boy if he wanted to be truffle boy. I am forbidden to change who to ask which means I have to ask -

After Eless and Lola left I talked a little with Aja, who gave me a decent idea about how to deal with the truffle boy - problem. After she left Gigi came back in. We talked a bit while I helped her look around for her wooden top. Things between her and Ollie are complicated.

I went home to find Lo on the couch all bundled up. I need to talk to her more about Robert but I was really worried about her and how she was doing. She was very pale. Maybe she's getting sick or what happened got to her that much. By talking to her I know for certain that she knows Ollie isn't on the path to becoming like Junior. Sure he has some anger issues but who doesn't' Who doesn't lose themselves in a moment of fear? And that is what Ollie did at the inn. He lost himself when not one but two of his family members pressed into his fear of becoming like Junior. A button pressed that Gigi just went to town on. How did Correy and Gigi really expect him to react' I know Lola said that they don't know to what extent that Ollie fears becoming like Junior but they know to some extent. Their words were very specific to point just that.

I really do not see Ollie being that sort of man and I really do think he needs to be reminded that he is his own man - not someone else. Lola is a good reminder and she has faith and trust in him. I just hope he doesn't lose sight of that.

It was one those nights I sit and wonder why the f-ck I went out. It started nice - Bumped into Ollie at the inn. I was surprised to find him approaching the inn all alone. He didn't look 100% sure he really wanted to go but I made sure that he went in just in case Lo was inside. Can't have him leaving without at least saying hello to her! He seemed surprised to see me too - to the point he looked started and I swear if it had not been for the cold I would say he was flustered. We sat and talked about stuff. I apologized for my reaction to what he said. He gawked when I did - It was funny and cute watching his jaw just hang in surprise. He kept insisting that it was his doing. That he isn't good with people. I got the feeling he meant to say women first which might be why he seems so uncomfortable around me.

I started to lecture him that he should go out more often and stop cooping himself up in his studio. Probably not the best way for me to go about it but if he wants to get better with people he needs to be among them! I found out that he doesn't want to get better with people. He finds people - Well to quote: They're selfish, horrible, spoiled creatures who would sooner hurt you than help you. It is unfair but I am not his mother so I left it alone. Asked him about his painting to smooth over the lecture. He seemed to be glad for the subject change because he blurted out the request to paint me. I was surprised of course because Lola and I had talked about him doing a commission piece for me that morning. He was all smiles about it.

About that time Lo and Alaric both came in. A afternoon worth of surprises because Alaric was without Nina. I think it was the first time I've seen him without her. Lola joined us and I might of asked Alaric to join but he was in and out, leaving his coat behind. The conversation went into the painting while Ollie did something or another in a little book he took out. Seriously when he started talking about paint I felt totally out of my element. I had no clue what he was talking about and felt even worse when Sosanna did! Something about oils. Maybe I should find a book about painting just to know what people are talking about.

Note of Interest - I was thinking about maybe making an excuse not to go to the opera and seeing if Sosanna would go. Maybe her and Ollie would hit it off. They would so make a cute couple.

Sosanna nearly choked Ollie to death with suggesting that I would be a good exquisite Aphrodite study. I had no idea who Aphrodite was but Ollie did. Enough that he was flustered enough for us both. Sosanna explained who Aphrodite was to me and really the idea of me being nude in front of someone is completely new for me. No one has seen me naked since the day I came into this world. The idea of me portraying some goddess of love and a naked painting of me hanging in the study of my best friend's brother" Embarrassing! Amazing I didn't turn red when Sosanna suggested it. I kept from turning red long enough to throw out the excuse that I needed to find Alaric and bring him the coat he left behind. I fled like my heels were on fire!!

It wasn't so much as an excuse - I really did want to find Alaric to speak to him and bring him back his coat before he got too far in the cold weather. Damn if that man isn't hard to find! I searched for hours and ended up right back where I started - The inn. And there he was - with Nina! That must of been where he went off to. When I presented the coat he seemed to of found another one. It looked an awful lot like his own so it must of been mistaken for it. He gave me a hug in thanks for the coat. - - - - I was able to keep myself from flustering because Nina was quite upset. Something about being made to go to a gym because Alaric wants to teach her to defend herself. I suggested a protective charm instead. Nina doesn't seem the fighting type. Maybe I can teach her"

Yes. Eless saw. And boy did she give me one of those crooked smirks. It was just a hug! After the hug I departed quickly. It wasn't because of the hug. I needed some fresh air to wash away the shock of hearing some woman swept by Alaric saying she was ready to sex him up and Nina - Who she claims wants to be with Alaric as much as she. I -

I guess I am disappointed. I didn't think Alaric - - - -

That's what I get for thinking.

Men. Why I haven't dated or thought about dating since Barr.

Had a small talk with Luke before I left. He apologized saying he didn't mean to sound like he did about how I looked. I forgave him. He is a nice guy so why not' Not like I hated him for it. I was just cross with him which was probably two-folded by what I had just escaped.

Note of Interest - Lo had asked me about her getting a puppy. I am going to find out if she's hoping to get one of Taneth's puppies. If not I think I am going to get her one as a surprise. She could use a cute and fluffy pick-me-up.

The fitting for the gown that I will be wearing next Saturday was a wonderful distraction from my thoughts on what happened at the inn. Shaking off the disappointment is hard. No, I don't think Alaric and Nina are like that. If anything Nina and Alaric's horror was brilliant proof of an answer. But he has a key to that woman's home? - At least from what she said. So he is that sort of man. It never occurred to me - then again he is a gorgeous man and can have his pick of any woman so I guess he is just having his pick. - - - Nothing I can do about that. Not that it changes anything with him or Nina. I am still going to be friendly with them.

Lola's face was bright and happy while she worked on the dress. It is very beautiful and she made sure that it was fit to my figure. I teased when I could - jumping ever so often and pretending as if she had poked me with a needle. She laughed and scold me for moving too much. She needs to laugh right now - needs to be happy. After everything that has happened with Sil, Jon, Correy, Ollie, and Gigi.

After lunch I left to roam since she had work to do. I went to the inn just for the hell of it. Prepared some cider and hot chocolate for people that might come in. No one came in until later and the first to show up was William. I really don't want to be caught alone with him for long and lucky or not Rhys came in shortly after. I smacked him with the GangStar that I had picked up earlier.

Note of Interest - Guess what? I am in the gossip column. How funny is it that they think Lola is some sexed group leader and I am her sidekick. Ollie would probably cough up a lung if he saw what they wrote about her - - -

Met a woman named Riley who is going to be getting married very soon. She looks a wreck and I found out that it is because she had been doing all the planning herself. I offered to step in during the ceremony that way she can enjoy her day without any mishaps. I am expecting a call from her any day now. I am going to do it for free. No reason to charge just to keep things rolling. Her and Rhys seem to have some background and the air between those two was thick as molasses. Lucky for me Reno showed up to keep me occupied. I decided to give him a hard time right from the start and it seemed to have the desired effect. He approached the bar like a pup with it's tail between his legs. I eased off when he psst me and asked for advice because I am apparently the only woman he knows besides some woman he works with. He went on explaining that he made a drunken fool of himself when some pretty woman kissed him in a moment of sweetness and he wiped it off. It was amusing how he tried to sneak in the situation between us like he did and try to find a reason to make amends. I told him - as advice - to apologize and that chocolate and flowers tends to smooth things over better. I didn't get flowers or chocolates but I did get an apology which is more than I expected to begin with. We sat and had drinks while he explained to me that his boss' boss is going to be contacting me for an interview and that the man - Rufus ShinRa - is a very cunning and rich man. I am look forward to meet him.

Lola came in while we - Reno and I - were drinking and I showed her the paper. I was playing with Reno's phone while she looked over the gossip. Her expression was pretty much a mirror of my own when I first saw.

Note of Interest - Reno seemed really antsy when wanting to know what I was doing with his phone. I just put my number in it but soon as he mentioned something about naughty pictures and I almost erased my number and tossed the phone at his head! Men!

Reno got a call from work and was leaving which I think was a good thing because my mood was shot when I heard some stupid ass tell Lola something lewd. The loser told Lola to open her top and dunk her breast into his drink. Lola tossed his drink at him - Cheers! I couldn't of done better myself. I pulled Lola with me to the hearth and we talked for a bit. That is when Silviu showed up. I didn't want him near Lola - Not because I don't like him but because I could see the pain that him being close caused both him and Lola. You would have to be blind not to see that those two are still smitten with each other. I wish I could help their situation so they could be together. I hate seeing Lola so hurt and sad. I think I am going to get her a cute little puppy tomorrow and sneak it to her to try and cheer her up.

Note of Interest - Jon and Correy are going on a short vacation and getting rings for their engagement. I hope the little time away and together will do them good. I am worried about them. Worried about Gigi and Ollie too. I know Ollie has probably locked himself up in his studio but Gigi - I haven't seen her since I helped her with finding her top.

All dressed up and no damn call from Reno's boss' boss. Sucky start to the day. Went to the inn to grab some lunch and Ollie came charging in. Scared the crap out of me but he was smiling and excited over something. His sketchbook or his work in it seemed to be the cause and he was ready to share. He is a great artist! I can't wait to see the painting but for now I got to enjoy a sketch. While I was looking at his work Correy came in and tried to apologize to Ollie but Ollie didn't want to hear it. Ollie is so shut off from the world that he didn't even take a moment to listen to Correy. Correy and him need resolve their issues. He did the same thing with Jon from what Lola has told me. Ollie calls us creatures of habit and yet he does exact the same thing. I don't think he realizes it. I was very stern with him - trying to get him to stay and talk with Correy. The look he gave me was like I had screamed at him that I hated his guts.

When Kaylee arrived Ollie left and Correy took off after him. I hadn't been able to spend a lot of time with Kaylee since I have returned but I got to spend a little time with her. Sweet girl but I think she needs more self-confidence. We had a little talk but it was cut short by a phone call. I thought it was for the interview so I rushed out. Nearly ran over Ollie and Correy on my way out.

I went back to the inn a hour later to find everyone was still there plus a few additions. Alaric and Correy were talking. Jon and Ollie were talking - I was happy to see this. I went to the bar and prepared the drinks like I do almost every time I go to the inn now. I was alone at the bar for some time. Alaric introduced me at some point to some of his school friends and one of them, Blizzard by name, pretty much invited me to join them in drinking. I figured why not' It was better than sulking behind the bar - Which I probably would of done after the look Ollie gave me. I think I made him angry because he didn't want anything to do with me. Barely mumbled a thank you when I served the coffee for him and Kaylee.

Blizz, Angel, and Quilly were all interesting people. It was fun having the little drinking game with them. Blizz insisted that I join - which left me at a serious disadvantage. We were suppose to stand on the table, make a toast to a teacher at their school, and everyone down their drinks. Alaric was almost on the same level of disadvantage. It was a good laugh and a better distraction.

Note of Interest - Before our drinking started I got a lovely mind-link from Logan demanding I join him and Robert on the pier. No matter how I tried to block him out he kept nagging. I think Alaric felt something was wrong but I was able to avoid giving detail.

I had fun with them. It was relaxing and gave me the guts to finally give Alaric his surprise. And he did seem surprised at the idea that I was giving him a gift. I don't think he considers me a friend so I guess it is to be expected. I also got up on the table and made a toast. Yes I made a toast to all the hot teachers of the school! I was a few sheets in the wind but I thought I was smart in my toast! Quilly said that there were a lot of hot women and a few hot men - so why not toast to the best distraction from studies? Getting the other red-head up there with me was funny and we spilled together as if we were tangled lovers. We were magically nudged. I just know it. Or maybe I subconsciously tipped us toward him but Quilly and I were caught by Alaric. I panicked in the closeness and fled for my seat once I was sure Quilly was okay.

Quilly left shortly after - Blizz and Angel after her. I told Alaric that I was fine if he wanted to join them but he was insisted that he wanted to make sure I got home safely. He looked ragged and tired so I set us off for home so he could do the gentleman thing of walking me home and still have enough energy to get himself home. He was very considerate and I am sure it was his nature and upbringing that had him escorting me. I know he is a flirt so I don't take it personal - he would do it for anyone but I am sure Eless was shooting me a look on our way out. We walked in the cold - my arm wrapped around his in escort fashion - I hadn't walked with anyone like that in years. We talked about stuff but nothing particularly important - the school and some of the classes he was taking which I mostly overheard already during the course of the night. I really tried to speak to him about being truffle boy but even as drunk as I was I was still couldn't work up the courage. I am pretty sure I still carried myself decently. Right up until I got to the door. I know I was fumbling with the key Lola had given me. Since it was Lola's place I couldn't invite him in for coffee - not that I would of. He was dead on his feet. It was a side of him I hadn't seen before and I wonder now what has him so tired. Keeping up with Nina and school I know has to be part of it. I hope he got home safe.

Note of Interest - He probably won't need the books I gave him which is sort of disappointing. Even if the magic books and some of the magic in them are ancient and probably long forgotten.

The aftermath of the toasting-drink game was not fun. I passed out on the couch after we had said our goodbyes. Lola must of found me and tucked me in because I woke with a blanket covering me and a pillow under my head. My head was throbbing but it was worth it. One hell of a hang-over but I slept most of it off until about a hour ago when Mister ShinRa called. First ever over-the-phone interview. I have a 10am interview tomorrow to meet with him face-to-face but I think I might be able to get along with the man. He seems easy to talk to but by his tone he demands respect from people. I guess we will see how it works out.

God damn gossip column! God I hope Ollie nor Alaric read this crap. It's crap! I do not send flirty looks Ollie's way. Lola would murder me and stick me on a pike to ward off all other women. Okay maybe not but that is beside the point! Sure I got in on the paper - The make me look like a gold digger. Take whatever Granger I can get - I think I am going to stay from the Inn for a few days just in case. I do not think I could face Alaric if he does read this junk. What the hell would I even be able to say - I already have a hard time being articulate near him. And they hate Correy' They can go to f-cking hell.

All right that is out - I can get on with the rest. I have an interview tomorrow so I went shopping for something new to wear. Picked up a few things for the date on Saturday with Lola and Ollie. I also picked up this dachshund puppy for Lola - one of the long-hair ones. It's melt-your-heart adorable. I waited until she went to take a bath to leave it on her bed. Tucked it into a basket with some padding. I hope she likes it!

Went to the inn but didn't stay long. Met Hojo - who is another employee of Mister ShinRa. He is a scientist - Why would a company that deals with electricity need a science division that works with genetic manipulation' Was Mister ShinRa not so forth coming with the information of his company' I plan on bringing this up at the interview.

Sure it is to celebrate love but for those of us that are single" Celebrating Single's Day is a standing joke I've heard. It holds a more painful memory for me - Barr and the day I found out who and what he really was. I regret not shooting him in the head that day.

Lo and I woke up to find a surprise on the stoop. Flowers, cupcakes, and the most beautiful cards I've ever seen. Lola knew right off bat that it was from Ollie - I can understand him sending Lola something but why me" Guess he doesn't want me to feel left out.

Note of Interest - I am going to frame the card - it is too lovely to just tuck away in some scrap book.

The cupcakes were scrumptious - even if I only had one. I was dressed and out the door for work. On the way to work I shopped to get Ollie a gift - A cellphone with all the trimmings.

After work I went to the inn to see if Ollie was there and thank him. He was there all right. So was Jon and Correy. I waved to Mimi - Who Eless introduced me to a few days back - but made my way to Correy and Jon to see if they were coming back from their trip or leaving. Correy gave me a smooch to the cheek and told me they were leaving soon. He was carrying his suitcase so I guess it was a bit obvious. Correy was trying to ask Ollie if he knew where Kaylee was but Ollie was edging around. I asked Correy to stop - worried that he would say something out of anger because Ollie wasn't being helpful. Correy was worried sick about his sister's health so how could Ollie - who should be able to understand Correy's situation - not help Correy' So I asked Ollie if he knew where Kaylee was - asked very simple and pleasant. Ollie ignored me. I was confused by that - figure he is still pissed at me for tongue-lashing about treating Correy the way he did. When he went to the bar I stepped out. The inn was too crowded anyways and I wanted to see if Reno was up for a few drinks because damn if I didn't need them. Ollie Came out a bit later and I stopped him to give him his gift and thank him. Come to find out he thought I was giving him the stink-eye and disapproving everything he was saying. No f-cking clue why he would think that because I sure the hell wasn't. Muddle by him ignoring me at point-blank with a question but the looks he accounted from was his imagination.

When he left I was ready to scream and chunk something at the back of his skull. My cellphone would of made a good projectile but I need it for work. He left - Lola arrived. With a stud muffin! Talk about throw a girl even more! Lola with a guy! She introduced us. Connor - I am going to be keeping a eye on you boy! You better not hurt Lola! I should of stayed but my mood was shot so I went home and junked out. When Lola came home she was in a cheerful mood - tipsy. Very tipsy! We curled up and talked about things like my run in with Ollie - Connor and how she met him - Her fashion show coming up soon. With Ollie she kept trying to console me - told me that Ollie wasn't pissed at me. Sure the f-ck could of fooled me. Connor saved Lola from being mugged. As many times as I have told her to call me if she is out alone - Stubborn runs thick in the Granger Clan.

Note of Interest - Connor seems nice enough but I am going to be keeping a sharp eye on him. Lola doesn't need to be hurt again so soon after Sil. He better be ready to impress. It isn't the Clan he has to worry about - it is the magic-infused roommate!
