Dear Gabi,

I'm sure Da has told you what?s happened by now, but I thought I should write and explain for myself. I'm sorry I'm such a coward, but after Frank died, I just couldn't stay in Rhydin. There's nothing there for me, Gabi. I tried, but my heart isn't there anymore.

I asked Tera to marry me, and she turned me down. I'm not sure why. I thought she loved me, but I guess I'm not good enough.

She thinks I love you more than her. I don't know. Maybe she's right. I've known you all my life. You've always known my heart better than anyone. I've always loved you best. You're my sister.

I'm sorry if I've disappointed everyone, but Rhydin isn't home for me anymore. My heart yearns for something more. I can't explain it, but I know it's out here somewhere, not back there.

I made a promise to someone I cared about long ago, and I need to keep it, no matter the cost. I don't know where this journey will take me. I don't know if I'm ever coming home, but please believe me when I say I love you, when I tell you that no matter what happens, you will always be in my heart.
