Follow the trail of lights to Maple Grove Manor where, upon the stroke of 7pm RST, a gruesome gathering of demons in disguise will take to the spooky paths of the Grove itself, to haunt the inhabitants of the Granger estate. Will they trick, or will they treat' Only time will tell ...

The message went out across Rhy'Din, aimed at those who have small children who might want to trick or treat but whose parents might not feel comfortable with them doing so in the heart of the city. Humphrey Granger and his family are throwing open the gates of Maple Grove to invite hordes of trick or treaters to delight the inhabitants of the Grove with their costumes, creepy or otherwise. Candy is guaranteed, and maybe even a few tricks.

Parents are welcome to remain - adult members of the Granger clan will be accompanying the various bands of children into the grounds before returning them to the manor to be collected. If necessary, transport will be laid on to and from the city.

So enter the Gloomy Grove, and be prepared to cackle!

There was certainly a bonus to raising children within the sacred grounds of an unbelievable realm. There was no shortage of activities to keep them occupied, no hardships of making friends, and no one questioning a heritage that brought about odd, animalistic attributes. Luckily, the Maroon twins were good about keeping most of their bizarre quirks hidden as their mother was very thorough with those lessons.

Halloween was a good time of year for them to do as they pleased with out being scolded by their matriarch or their caretaker, Hendricks. They could shred the rules during the parties, out on the street, even at school, but they rarely seemed to go completely wild. Especially this year where their costumes were much more pop culture oriented.

"Moooom. Do you have to do that, right now?" Ten year old Tavo was looking over his shoulder while his mother fixed at his hair. "Come on, it's just going to get messed up anyways!" He fussed.

Isabella giggled behind the safety of her mother. Tavo was quick to make a face at his sister.

"Fine, go and be a mess, but do not tell them you are a Maroon, then." Quick tongued and stoic is how it sounded but the twins were aware of their mothers humor. She finished harassing Tavo to turn on Isabella, who had seemed to run towards the manor hosting this get together.

"Bye, mom!" Tavo took his opportunity to sprint after his sister. Both were dressed as classic characters from The Addams Family; Tavo went as Puglsey while Bella sported the Wednesday look.

And who else would have been Morticia but Lola herself.

"Be good. I will come to get you when Jake arrives." She called after them and, to her surprise, they both turned to look back at her.

"Uncle Jake is coming?" They seemed to ask in unison.

"Yes." Pausing to light a cigarette; she didn't look the part of a doting mother. "Go on, then. He won't be here for a while. Have fun."

Both of the children seemed delighted at this news, twisting to bump a long some other kids. The Maroon twins were not unsociable unlike certain others in their family.

Although she did not have young ones of her own, that didn't mean Fiona couldn't help with the festivities. She reached out to Caroline to volunteer as a Group Leader, escorting various groups of little ghosts and goblins around to the houses of the compound.

Fiona decided to dress up as a witch, with a black and purple gothic style dress. She hoped everything from her black boots to her pointed witch's hat would help sell the look. Her long white hair was a contrast from her normal long locks of deep red. If anyone asked, it was simply a wig.

Having attended a family birthday party in the afternoon, the Harkers donned Steampunk attire and arrived at Maple Grove to join in the fun for trick or treat.

Ebon and his older two children came over to Maple Grove from a family party across the way, joined there by many of the fosterlings coming down from Stardreamer Manor. Ebon wore his own heroic costume from his time with Rhydin's Avengers.
