He lead his wife to the clinic and rushed inside reporting his daughter being poisoned. He was sweating bullets. The recptionist nodded and knew it was the case called in by doctor Valkonan. Paul Trevell his badge said. He called for the stretcher.

The girl was taken from her mother along with vomit sample and glowing bug to be tested. Gabriel clenched his fists tightly and looked to Liara. " I have something to do. Wait here...I'll be back shortly. "

He stepped outside and tried to calm himself before walking back inside. He looked to his scared wife and held her tightly.

Ria was set down on a stretcher at the right time. She was sweating rather badly and she couldn't stay still. She was wriggling a bit on the thing while her eyes, over flowing with tears pushed from her eyes. She sobbed out again and whimpered. Mommy never leaving her side while she gave out information to the doctors that they had gathered from Benjamin Belarus, Ria's playmate.

"Benjamin told his mother that Ria ate four. Only four, but the bugs aren't supposed to be devoured. Even predators of insects avoid them. They didn't have an anti serum back at the Estates..." The mother shook her head," Said that a lot of stuff was being moved out and the serum left yesterday. They have some on the way, but with four bugs it might be too late." She was frantic as she stayed close to her baby girl. Tears forming in her eyes," Oh god, please tell me she'll be okay."

He looked to her. "I dont know. All we can do is pray and hope they can cure her and hope the mixed angelic alorian blood holds the poison back for a time."

He was scared. He could feel his heart wanting to pound from his chest.

The night shift trauma team, led by the senior Cardiology resident, Leonard Kelley, worked swiftly to get the child stabilized. By long practice, their movements were a model of perfect synchronization. IV for fluids was administered with nearly no pain for the small patient.

The vomitus and the bug were sent down to Toxicology. Within minutes, a tech came in with the proper antitoxin, and delivered it to Kelley, who administered the serum in the IV.

Then the doctor waited for it to take effect. If the test results were correct, any physical damage from the bug's toxins would be reversed swiftly, and the young girl would survive her traumatic experience without complications.

He was waiting with his wife to hear soemthing. He had his head in his hands and eblows on his knees. He didn't sleep at all. He felt so bad. He knew it wasn't his fault but.....He had tried so ahrd with Ria. He wanted to raise her right. But many unseen things can happen and he had to understand it. He couldn't do anything to prevent it no matter how hard he tried. He looked to Liara and placed a soft hand on her shoulder. He rubbed it gently and sighed standing.

Leonard Kelley's craggy features were emphasized even more by the great fatigue of nearing the end of a seventy two hour long shift. Nevertheless, he managed a smile as he left the exam room and approached the worried parents.

"Your little girl was very sick for a while there." He held back a yawn with difficulty, and scrubbed at his stubbled face with the heel of his left hand for a moment. "But, fortunately, we got her the antitoxin in time, and she's resting comfortably. I would still keep a close watch on her, but you may take her home, and let her get some sleep."
