Governor Ilnaren,

Ebon, first off let me congratulate you on a well-deserved win! A win not only for you, but one for all of us as a city. You ran an honest, hard fought campaign and your desire to better this city was something even a blind person could see with ease.

You and I have worked together on quite a few fronts for a good number of years now" a lot has changed since we started out Ministers under Governor Driscol, not to mention the Avenger's Initiative, to boot.

Despite all of that, a few things have thankfully not changed. The fact that we still work to make this place better for the greater whole, the fact that we are humble enough to know we can't do it alone, and most importantly to me on a personal note" That you have been there for me and my own on many occasions and had it not been for you, along with others, the landscape around here would be a lot different, especially where I and my family are concerned.

But enough of that sentimental stuff old friend, let me get to the bread and butter.

As it's always been as a friend, it'll be as a servant of city as well. You need anything, you ask. Myself and my people are there for you, whatever you need. Anytime, anyplace?you get the idea.

It'll be a long road old friend, but it'll definitely be a road traveled with friends from all over and a great deal of help along the way.

So make sure you celebrate proper! Cause you're on the clock, from here on out!

~Brian

A smile spread across Ebon's face as he read the letter from Brian, and it remained there while he composed a reply.

Captain Ravenlock (since we're trading titles),

Brian, thank you for your welcoming words. It was certainly a whirlwind of a campaign, and I couldn't have made it through without the support of my family and of friends such as you and yours.

Your work in the Old Market district has been inspiring, what with the Chamber of Commerce, the EMS and Fire Brigade and the 27th Special Ops. I couldn't ask more of you than you've already given, but your aid and counsel are always welcome. I can only hope to do as much for our city as you have done the past year and more.

Regarding the Avengers, Batten's absence has left the team a bit directionless, but our adventure in the sewers last year proved that there is a need for such an organization in Rhydin, even if only occasionally. (I wish I could say the Avengers would never be needed again, but sadly we do not live in an ideal world.) I have some ideas on how we might proceed in the future, but welcome any thoughts you might have on the matter.

Once again, thank you for your kind words! Please give my best to Jenai and your family, and I'll see you around Rhydin!

~ Ebon
