A letter is delivered to the Governor's office by courier.

It appears to have been typed on an old fashioned type-writer on Fallen Cross Detective Agency Business Letterhead.

To the Office of Governor Colleen McLeod-Fenner,

Allow me to be the first to express my surprise at hearing my name come up during you acceptance speech. Of course, my father always told me that if I was going to say something I had better be prepared to back it up. I've never really considered myself a political person, as a matter of fact one of the reasons I quit the police force and went private was to escape the politics.

That being said, I have come to consider Rhy'din my home. As such, I feel it is important to become more involved in the community. While Rhy'din is much more welcoming than where I am originally from I feel like more could be done to make it even more so.

I understand, there is an inherent distrust of the undead among the living. I also understand that a lot of that distrust is probably well deserved.

While I can agree that many undead are dangerous. It doesn't change the fact that most of us are victims of circumstance, and did not have a choice in the kind of life we lead.

Perhaps, in the eyes of some people, extermination is the easy answer. In some cases it might even be prudent. However for the undead that are self aware, things are different.

We have varying needs. For instance, before I managed to permanently solve the issue of decay. I would often have to go through less than desirable channels in order to keep my body from falling apart.

Access to medical/mortuary services (I'll admit I don't know exactly which term to use here.) so that the undead might carry on in the dignity befitting of any person might be a good place to start.

In response to your invitation, I would like to offer my services in whatever manner they might be required. I welcome the opportunity to work with an open-minded governor for a better future for all of Rhy'din.

Regards,

Nick Cross

Dear Mr. Cross,

I'm pleased that you have accepted my invitation and I look forward discussing your ideas to help the undead in the city of Rhydin.

As you have said, some people view extermination as the best way to deal undead beings. Many of Rhydin's citizens have come to learn that there are undead that are victims of circumstance that simply want to exist in peace. As for medical and mortuary services, I think we should consult with representatives of those professions to see how they can be of help.

As I readily admitted, I don't have all the answers. However, I am willing to learn what?s needed and work with people to fill those needs where possible.

Sincerely,

Colleen MacLeod-Fenner
