Topic: A Letter to the Governor and Ministers.

Misty

Date: 2010-06-21 13:33 EST
Dear Governor, and Ministers of Rhy'Din.

As a member of a foreign species in your fair city, I would like to propose the formation of an embassy between our people and yours, to foster peaceful relations between us. I already have a building, and only ask for a parcel of suitable property, preferably just south of the city.

Signed,

Misht'Kyeamort'awli. (But you might know me as Misty.)

There, she'd written her note. She really hoped Dris would keep an open mind about this embassy thing, and wanted to meet with the ministers to get their opinions as well.

A copy of the letter found upon the desk, as he lifted it a moment and took a read. While it did not have the colourful crayon like goodness of his previous letter*, it still carried the same weight in his eyes, and he understood all too well, that this was an important request.

More so, it came from a most familiar face indeed.

So Brian replied, in kind and a smile on his face the whole while.

Misty,

It's been a while, old friend and I am so glad to find this letter from you. While I do not have the final say in something like this, I assure you, I will speak on your behalf, and more so, believe we do have some property that can be utilized for your request. I think this is a great opportunity, for all involved and can only benefit the city, and your people to no end. If you like, please drop by my office, so we can discuss this further and if they are available, perhaps we can meet with the other ministers, and the Governor himself. Again I cannot promise anything directly, but will do all I can for you. It'll be great to see you again, and it's been far too long.

Till then, take care

~Brian

"An official letter has arrived," Hedronbot said, tossing the letter onto Drake's desk with an extremely practiced manipulation of generated kinetic energy that mimicked a flip of a humanoid wrist quite accurately. Drake snapped it up without looking away from his own computer screen, opened it one-handed (precisely separating the glue, at that, rather than anything so messy as tearing. Heathen), then flipped it open.

Now his eyes traveled over it. He paused a moment in consideration.

"Hedronbot?"

"Yes?"

"Is this....all there was?"

"Yes."

"You've read it?"

The letter hadn't faced the isocahedron at any point, but that didn't stop the robot from indicating the affirmative.

"So....any ideas who the 'people' involved are?"

"No. None."

"Huh," Drake said, tossing the letter in a bin marked ?"". "Well....hopefully someone will let me know if I need to do something about this."

"Shall I make the expected jokes about 'fostering relations'?"

"We're in private," Drake said, "do we really need to?"

"I can never tell, with you."

Drake lobbed a paperweight at the robot, which was exactly as effective as one would expect throwing an object at a device-slash-creature capable of instant and precise manipulation of kinetic objects to be.

She drifted like mist to the City Hall building, and became solid on the front steps. Taking a deep breath, the nervous Kirn carried a bag for the Ministers and a whole lot of hope. Once inside and past security (some of the stuff in the bag might have been iffy, but she ensured them she didn't have any power sources for them, and her reputation for being a good girl helped out a lot), she looked over the list, and read the names and titles there. She had something for each of them in that bag.

Minister of Defense: Admiral Wolvinator. If her identification card as a pilot trainer for the RASG didn't work, she didn't know what would.

Minister of Trade and Commerce: Silver Starblade. She had some of her homeworld's precious metals, coin, and a list of possible trade items to go here. Knowing one of the deputy ministers might help, but she didn't know.

Minister of Magic: Silas Greyshott. This one made her nervous, because she'd never even heard of him. But she could show him some of her magic, if he wanted. He might be interested in knowing more about the Kirn Institute of Astromancy, too.

Minister of Science and Technology: Drake Valkonan. Valkonan was a name she knew, since 'Anya considered her a sister. But if this one was any relation, she didn't know. So for him, she brought some of the semi-organic computer components that were popular on her home planet. Very durable, very environmentally friendly, and they could even grow!

Minister of Justice: Riley O'Rourke. Another one she didn't know. But hopefully, the list of her planet's laws and customs might help.

Minister of Citizen Resources: Brian Ravenlock. Oh Brian. The only one to write her back. An old friend, and a former crewman on her ship. He'd know a lot about Kirn, just from being around her! She just hoped he remembered all the good things.

Minister of Agriculture: Merriam Ksyhsravor. She sighed. Another name she wasn't familiar with, at all. But she had some moji-fruit and a pot of koji-root for her. She already knew normal humans could eat these, as they were very popular with all her friends.

Minister of Cultural Diversity: Koyliak VanDuran-Simon. Koy was so nice, asking about her people like that the night of the tournament. Since she knew Koy liked clothes, she brought a little movie-disc the ATPDS did about Kirn from a study, and a few of the silk-like garments her people favored when it's warm. And it's almost always warm on Motuv'Utaw.

Governor: Sheridan Driscol. Wow. Dris was Governor. She remembered him singing her back from oblivion when 'Anya got mind-zapped. She hoped he would see this for the opportunity it was. Really, she hoped that a lot.

Another deep breath, and she started up the steps, finding the door. She knocked, hesitantly, and peered in.

"Hellos" Anyones home?"

Drake Valkonan

Date: 2010-06-25 12:21 EST
The door opened, revealing a floating isocahedron.

This was normal.

Hedronbot, however, had been caught entirely by surprise. His mission was to get mail, that's all! Otherwise he'd never leave the office. (His long-term mission: Get whoever was in charge of these things to have the mail delivered directly to the offices, rather than mail slots. He was still working on that. Thus his current mission.) However, as a featureless robot, he showed no emotion whatsoever. His voice, however, had something of off-guard quality to it. "Erm, good morning, may I help you with something?"

Misty

Date: 2010-06-25 14:01 EST
"Oh! Hi!" She gave a little giggle and waved. "My name is Misty. I's is here to speaks with the Ministers and Governor? If they're availables, that is."

Awww, such a cute little wobot! She'd hug it if it had arms. Or a body.

Drake Valkonan

Date: 2010-06-25 14:59 EST
Hedronbot performed several verification analyses of his sense memory and its path to active memory. The human equivalent was blinking, although humans showed external evidence of the process.

He made a mental note to have a word with building security about verifying appointments....did this building even have security' He made a note to check into that too, and rallied gamely. "Do you have appointments or particular times in mind? I'd be happy to direct you to any of their offices or the lotras thereto. If not, well, I'll certainly direct you regardless, although I can only speak for the Minister of Science and Technology."

Misty

Date: 2010-06-26 18:20 EST
"Appointments" Ummmm ....Brian just tolds me to stops by sometimes. See?" She plucked the carefully folded letter from inside her pocket, and flipped it open so the cute but snooty robot could read it.

"I's don't minds waiting ....or I's can leaves the things I's brought for the Ministers to see, but I's really wanteds to come and thanks Brian in persons. Is that okies with yous?"

Drake Valkonan

Date: 2010-06-26 18:39 EST
This isn't how these things are normally conducted, is it' Hedronbot elected to go with the flow, in a fine spirit of "why make waves?".

"Certainly," the robot said, and quickly described the way to the Minister of Citizen Resources' office proper. "I don't know their protocols but I imagine you shouldn't have any difficulty. If at some point you require the Minister of Science and Technology for whatever reason, he is fairly accepting of drop-bys; please feel free to come around at whatever time is good for you."

Misty

Date: 2010-06-28 02:35 EST
"Danku! If yous don't minds, I's think I's is gonna waits. I's hope they will be heres soons."

She smiled, and found herself a place to sit and wait.

Brian Ravenlock

Date: 2010-06-28 03:08 EST
And soons was soonsers, than she thought, as a pair of red headed children literally appeared from seemingly nowhere...They garb, all 'MIB' like with matching pressed suits, black in colour...Matching sun glasses, and more so, matching ear pieces. The only thing that set that aside, was the fact one had huge 'Tara' like pigtails, and the other, a long braid with an azure sash to tie it off at the end..

The pair looked Misty over, as one spoke into what looked to be her wrist..

"Pocket Raven, to Pocket Raven too, copy?"

The other, looked to her wrist and spoke into it as well..

"Pocket Raven too, to Pocket Raven, I copy, and see the package 5 X 5, over?"

"Copy your copy and read your over, will engage package now."

"Copy, your copying of my copy, and reading of my over, and good to go, on the engaging."

One stepped foward, and nodded to Misty, with a somewhat grin.

"Welcome, Miss Misty, Dad— I mean the Minister, asked us to guide you to the office."

"Yeah, no need to worry ma'am, we'll protect ya."

Ah yes, Misty...Welcome to the Rhy'din Town Hall.

Misty

Date: 2010-06-28 11:37 EST
She giggled, she smiled, and if this were a bad internet meme, she would've zomg'd, squee'd, and died from teh kyootness. But she did stand, and offered out her hands to the darling little angels.

"Okies! Ummmmm ....takes me to yous Minister?"

Brian Ravenlock

Date: 2010-06-30 09:20 EST
The pair saluted Misty, and quickly after...

"All your base are belong to us!"

"What you say!?"

"Just go with it, chowder head!"

"I'm no chowder head, you trout sniffer!"

"I'm tellin' dad!"

"Hey, focus! We got jobs to do! We gotta get paid, and that candy isn't gonna eat itself!"

"Oh yeaaaah...Candy!"

After a few steps worth of this banter, the 'escorts' turned to their charge, and saluted once more!

"Our apologies ma'am, I promise the rest of the trip will be escort insult free."

Ah, such a professional was Nathressa, especially when there is candy to be had. Aleyah, smiled and noddled as well, as the pair then lead Misty towards the stairs, and soon up them, down the hall towards the right, and there is was..

The Office of Citizen Resources.

"Alrighty Ma'am, here we are. Safe and sounded, toldja! Um...If ya could, please...Couldja mention how good we did?"

"Yeah, we just night get a bonus outta this, yet."

The door opened, as Miss Westbury rose from her desk...The older lady offering, a respectful bow in turn, her silver hair catching the lighting just right, as she did so, causing one of the girls to let loose an 'ooooh'.

A smile offered to the pair, as she addressed them. "Thank you, girls. That will be all for the moment, and I will see to your payments, very soon."

That of course caused the girls to squeel, a bit...However, they were professionals, and recovered very quickly with a clearing of their throats, as the walked towards their desks.

Turning to Misty once more, Miss Westbury offered a sincere smile.

"You must be Misty. Brian has spoken, so much about you, and it is nice to see someone, who has known him, as long as you have, still present here in the city. May I get you anything to drink, or eat?"

"I'll take a grill cheese, three waffles, and a —-"

Que one sharp glare, from Miss Westbury, and Nathressa stopped dead in her tracks...A snicker from Aleyah, as the twins, went back to their 'paperwork', which mainly detailed a 'malaysian tiger trap', placed dead center of the town hall...Of course, this would never pan out, but girls can dream, can they not"

That was when the door to Brian's office opened.

"Is she here, Madelyne" Is Mis—"

Eyes of blue settled upon the ever familiar sight of Misty, as a warm smile took hold, as he spoke once more.

"Well look at you, beautiful. Still the same, eh?"

Misty

Date: 2010-06-30 20:35 EST
She blinked, and blushed shyly. "Oh Brian, yous is just sayings thats." Then she smiled to Miss Westbury with a pat on the hand to say 'we'll talk more later'. She didn't have anything to offer her old crewmate save one thing. A bit, warm, fuzzy Kirn hug. She never ran out of those.

"Danku for seeings me on such shorts notice, Brian. And are those yous kids? They've gotten so bigs!"

Brian Ravenlock

Date: 2010-07-01 08:34 EST
"Just sayin that' When it comes to you? Never!!"

The hug was returned in kind, as he hugged his old captain and dear friend. It truly was amazing to see her again, after all this time. Truth be told, he did indeed miss her.

Releasing her, he smiled yet again to her, as he looked to his girls as well.

"These are our girls...The pigtailed one is Nathressa, and the sashed one, is Aleyah. And of course you met, Miss Madelyne Westbury, my unofficial den mother, and ruler of my office here." A chuckle, as he looked to Misty again.

"Ladies, this is Misty. A captain of a star ship, and more so, someone who I have had the honour of serving under, as well."

Motioning to his office, nodded to Misty.

"Let's head on in, and see whatcha got, eh' Oh yeah, no need to thank me ever...We're friends."

Misty

Date: 2010-07-01 20:32 EST
"What I's got ....well, that's complicateds. You's see, my new first mate, Paradise, teamed ups with a friend of hers, and put a portals to Motuv'Utaw on boards the ship. I's has been noticings that a lots more Kirn are gettings interested in Rhy'Din, so I's thought, before there's a humongous floods of Kirn showings up heres, it mights be a good ideas to make a place for thems to gets a good ideas of where they are, and where to go. Like a welcome center" But then, I's thought some Kirn mights be comings here to start doings business, and some others woulds be comings here to sells things, so I's thoughts then that it mights be betters if it's somewheres where the city governments could meets with thems, and makes sure they knows whats the laws are, so nobody has any stepped on toes."

Wow, she didn't even know she had that much to say! But she smiled, toying with the Key around her neck, and sat back in her chair.

"Whats do yous think?"

Brian Ravenlock

Date: 2010-07-06 10:34 EST
Brian listened to his old friend...The more she said, the more he smiled...This was a wonderful idea, and more a perfect chance to foster relations with another world, and it's government...Much like his journey with Baker, Dark, and the others, to the Isle of Lesbos...Save they didn't have to steal the Governor's boat this time around. Granted Kitty forgave them, it still was a bit hectic upon their return.

"A welcome center...Misty, that is a grand idea, and I think we can do this...No...I know, we can do this. We definitely, need to bring this to the attention of the other ministers, and the Governor. This might be something larger...A welcome center for various worlds, and their peoples. Or possibly, an embassy district itself, for the city...Misty, my dear you have done it again."

Brian smiled once more, nodding to his old friend.

T'was then, that Miss Westbury entered the room once more, setting a stack of folders upon his desk, offering a smile to Misty as she did so.

"Madelyne, can you please send runners to the offices of each Minister, and the Governor, and see if they can either take a moment to meet with us at their convenience, or if we may schedule an appointment. Please title the message, 'Proposal for Embassy locations, within Rhy'din & Free Dark Side Cookies, to boot'."

The older woman, responded with a chuckle, shaking her head. She left the room, as Bri looked back to Misty with a smile.

"You are really on to something there, Misty. You know that?"

Misty

Date: 2010-07-06 13:57 EST
Oh, she blushed ....

"I's can't claims all the credits ....but yous really think so?" As she spoke, she tapped a couple of buttons on her wrist-computer, and smiled.

"Yous mind if I's send for Paradise, then" She's got more informations about all this than I's do."

Brian Ravenlock

Date: 2010-07-06 16:08 EST
Brian nodded indeed, at Misty's request.

"Sure, by all means, please do so! Let's get this rolling, as soon as we can."

Then the voice of Miss Westbury was heard, from the other office.

"Brian, the runners are enroute and should return shortly with the replies."

Brian replied in kind, "Thanks, Madelyne. Can you do me a solid, and call out to Yotsuba's, I feel a need for cake coming on."

This of course, caused Miss Westbury to literally facepalm...And more so caused the twins to literally goose stomp around the office, with cries of 'Viva la Cake!' & 'Let them eat cake!' and the occasional cry of 'Attica' for good measure....Oh yes, a productive day indeed was underway.

Drake Valkonan

Date: 2010-07-06 19:22 EST
I just said he was free! Why does no one listen?! Hedronbot didn't say as the runner delivered the message. Instead, he settled for a quiet revenge by immediately composing three pages of words that only saw the light of day when someone dropped a dictionary and it opened to a random page. The ultimate gist was that the Minister of Science and Technology was free when they needed him.

"If Drake weren't a master of Time, my job might require effort," he commented to himself as he telekinetically crammed the letter into a capsule, and the tube into a pneumatic tube station.

A few minutes later a pneumatic tube politely knocked on the Minister of Citizen Resources' office door, nudged its way in, then unfolded into a station which promptly disgorged the capsule onto the nearest in-box. Mission accomplished, it retracted like a game of Snake in reverse.

Misty

Date: 2010-07-07 00:39 EST
"Oh! I's forgot! Yous should've tolds them that I's had things for them. Or I's should've tolds yous to tell thems ....oh, fardles. Neverminds ...."

She fidgeted with her bag, blushing again.

There was a sizzling noise, and a column of flame appeared. It burned nothing, simply deposited two figures next to Misty.

The first was an eight foot tall Kirn, with a lion's mane and a friendly smile. He wore a kilt belted around his waist.

The second was a woman with long, coppery red hair, streaked with gold. A single scar crossed from above her eyebrow, down her cheek. She wore a pair of overalls, with a band of cloth beneath it.

"Evening. I came as soon as I could."

She stepped away from the Kirn, holding out her hand to the man across desk. "My name's Paradise....The tall fellow behind me is A'rus, from Motuv'Utaw. He's been giving me a hand."

Misty

Date: 2010-07-07 01:21 EST
"Oh! Hi Paradise! Hi A'rus! It's nice to see yous, and so quicklys! Danku!"

She giggled as she smoothed out her tail-fur, and smiled at Brian.

"Brian, this is Paradise, the first mate of the Fur'za Flyin'. And this is A'rus, a friend of hers. Paradise, A'rus, this is Brian Ravenlock, the Minister of Citizen Resources, and he used to be the cooks on the Fur'za, a long times ago."

Brian Ravenlock

Date: 2010-07-08 12:59 EST
"Raven, we got the reply from the Minister of Science and Technology, and I am guessing by the blank pages, it is a puzzle of some type. So let's just assume, he will be enroute."

Brian nodded to Madelyne, as she went back into the office, in an attempt to quell the twins, as they marched to their own beat. He then glanced to Misty apologetically, smiling once more. "I'm so sorry about that, Misty." he said, referring to the things she had.

Glancing to the new arrivals, he smiled and took the offered hand in a solid shake indeed.

"Hello there, and welcome, Paradise and A'rus. It's a pleasure to meet you both, and I appreciate you coming on such short notice. Please have a seat, make yourself at home. If you need anything, drink or snack and what not, please let me know."

Releasing her hand, he offered a nod of head, to A'rus as well, and motioned towards the couches, nearby and a pair of chairs as well.

"By all means, take a load off."

A wink offered to Misty, as he had a good feeling about this.

Silver Starblade

Date: 2010-07-08 13:23 EST
The knock at the door drew Silver's attention away from the screen of the computer, her two index fingers ceasing in their incessant pecking at the keyboard as she looked up. Rona stood in the door frame, a memo in her hand.

"A Miss Misty has stopped by the Ministry.....are you going ta go?"

"Going to go where?" Silver responded, arching a single brow as she gave her fingers a rest.

"To tha meetin'. She wants ta see all of the ministers." Rona replied with a knowing smile.

"Oh..." The Minister of Trade and Commerce looked back to the computer screen and the single paragraph she had managed to type in the last forty-five minutes. "I probably should, huh?" Control-S, as she was taught, meant that the document would still be somewhere in this machine when she got back.

"I think so." Rona laughed quietly, reaching to tug on the ribbons around her wrist.

"Well if you think so..." Silver laughed in return, rising from her desk and grabbing a pad and a pen. "Then I will!" She bumped her hip against Rona's before exiting her single office and stepping into the waiting room that served the suite of the Trade and Commerce offices. She turned, heading for the main door and stepped into the hall of the governor's building.

She had forgot to ask Rona where exactly they were. Oh well, too late now, she chided herself as she headed past the doors, all labeled with the various Ministries...Defense. Magic. Technology and Science. Agriculture. Voices wafted through the next doorway, heard muffled through the slightly ajar door.

Silver rapped gently before she pushed the door open further and stepped in, flashing a smile toward Misty and Brian as she crossed the threshold into the office. "Hope I'm not too late."

Misty

Date: 2010-07-09 01:24 EST
"Oh, hello!" She blinked, and smiled back. She hoped this was one of the other ministers arriving, and if it was, she really needed to start setting out the things she'd brought. So she opened her bag, and started setting out the packages with each minister's name on them.

ParadiseStromgard

Date: 2010-07-12 02:33 EST
Paradise nodded at the new entry, pulling a small cube from the pocket of her coveralls.

A holographic image of the Fur'za appeared, and she began to manipulate the image, zooming in and out, and testing some of the blueprints she had made in the program to show what work needed to be done.

Brian Ravenlock

Brian smiled brightly, as he saw Silver make her way inside, as he offered a deep bow.

"Silver, glad you could make it, and thank you for coming on such short notice. My apologies, but I think this is something that would really do some good, and wanted to get your input as well. Please come on in and make yourself at home."

BardGallant

Dris stared at the letter.

The Governor must have read over the short little missive about a hundred times, and he was no less baffled this go around than he had been at read-through number ninety-nine. At some points he had taken to using the note as a hand fan while he let his mind wander into mulling over that newfangled technology known as air conditioning. If his predecessors had had it installed in these offices, he had no idea how to work it himself.

He read the letter again. Then he asked his trusty personal assistant, "Did y'read this?"

Erin rolled her eyes at him for probably the three hundredth time since sitting with him this afternoon, all the cause of him repeatedly scratching his head at the contents of the letter. With a sigh, she told him, "Of course I read it."

Dris scratched his head again and twisted his face up in confusion. He didn't have time for this sort of nonsense. There were more important matters at stake that he'd been sitting on for far too long. Such as trying to make sense of the even more complicated court order that had come at him from that two-timing, double-crossing Lucien Mallorek. Just whose side was he on anyway"

"I didn't even know Misty weren't already a citizen," he mused aloud, once again fanning himself with the letter. "And what?s this about 'avin' a building but no place t'put it, eh' S'that make sense t'you?"

Before he really had a chance to ponder over the intricacies of what building an embassy might entail, there came a knock on the door frame of his almost always open office door. He looked up. Erin turned to look. Some poor sod was standing there looking skinny and nervous while he thrust an inter-office missive forward for one of the two of them to take. Basil popped up over the other boy's shoulder, panting as he apologized profusely for not being able to stop the messenger before he could interrupt what the Governor had previously labeled a brain storming session with his Chief PA.

Since she was closest to the door, Erin took the letter. All she needed was a look to chase off the messenger and Basil both. She was also the first to read the missive before handing it over to Dris; he didn't even scold her for it. "Seems your future ambassador is already here," she said dryly, summarizing the contents of the note even while Dris gave it a quick read.

"Oh good gods," the Governor groaned. Sighing, he smeared a hand over his face and rose up from his way too comfy chair. "We ain't even 'ad a chance to 'old a council meetin' t'discuss the partic'lars an' she's already 'ere petitionin' in person' I'd wager we ought go down an' intercept afore things get outta 'and, eh?" The question was more rhetorical than not. He grabbed his suit jacket off the back of his chair and slung it over his shoulder while meandering to the door. "How many th'other Ministers're in the buildin' t'day?" he asked Erin as she followed along. As if she would know.

Erinalle Dunbridge

She sighed and walked after the governor. Her steps were languid, she didn't really hurry.

Misty could wait.

"You think I keep a tracking device on your ministers or something?" Erin quipped. Maybe she did. How could he know"

It irritated Erin that everyone in Rhydin thought they could have immediate access to the government. Hadn't they ever lived anywhere else? Somewhere where every fool off the street couldn't just harass the people in charge until they obliged them with their presence" It was infuriating.

Misty, or any other of the millions in Rhydin who claimed to be royalty of some such, could not just start eating up Dris' time. There were things to be done! For one, Riley had to be slowed down" The more stabbings and ambassadors and other distractions prancing through those doors, the less time there was for any real work at all on what Erin wanted. And wasn't that what this was all about anyway"

"Hey, Dris, darling," she said from behind him as she kept pace once more. "For the love of god, think before you speak." She sighed yet again and kept quiet for the rest of their walk.

Misty

She blinked as her wrist-computer beeped, and she sighed.

"Brian, would yous mind givings the rest of the ministers the things I's brought' I's put names on thems, to say what goes wheres. I's gotta go for nows. Let me knows what they say, okies? Danku!"

She winked at Paradise and A'rus, waved a cute little wave, and poof! A little tendril of mist flowed out of the office and the building, drifting out of sight.

"The he— Oh yeah, no worries, dear. We'll set up a meeting an— Oh, she's gone already? Damn, now I know how Jenai feels with me at times."

He chuckled, a moment and looked to the paperwork, a bit more as his eyes widened a tad..

"This won't work without her for the moment. Damn, everyone else will have come for nothing. We'll need to table this, and set up an actual meeting for this.."

A most apologetic glance to everyone present, as he continued.

"Ladies, and gent, my apologies. We will set this up after everyone has a chance to view the paperwork, as I am sure having Misti here would be a boon indeed...Also I just got an idea, we'll need to look into."

Moving into the reception area, he called out.

"Maddie! Send out runners, and stop whoever is enroute! Let them know, we will deliver parcels to them, on this matter, but we will not be meeting at present, and my apologies!"

Hearing Miss Westbury, handle business as the runners were gathered, and then tore off, Bri went back into the office, and smiled to Silver.

"Silver, you got a sec, when we finish here. It's about Misti's idea, and some property, that may be ideal for such an endeavour."

Silver watched everything going on, and the whirlwind as it all seemingly came to a halt. A single brow arched as her arms crossed loosely and she smiled. She was looking forward to seeing all the Ministers, but that'd have to wait.

Her eyes fell to Brian as he spoke, mentioning something about a request for land.

"Sure...I made time for a meeting, so I'm free."

A smile of thanks offered to Silver, as he shuffled some of the paperwork together, trying to make sense of what had happened. T'was then, that Kerri came bounding into the office!

"Hey boss! We got a problem!", cried the overly excitable furried one.

Lifting his head, Bri raised a brow, as Kerri looked to have been...Well...She looked to be covered in what seemed to be..

"Kerri, what the hell happened to you?! Is that, caramel, and gummi bears!?"

The candy coated Mithra, just noddled her head, sending some not so secure gummi bears to the floor, and abroad as she did so.

"Raven, it's hell down there!"

"Down where, Kerri"!"

Then, a runner came barreling through the door. Likened to Kerri, he too was candy coated.

"Minister!", cried the young man.

Bri just facepalmed, as the runner began to speak.

"Sir, we need you down in the courtyard, right away! It's a pair of...We don't know what they are! They took two vendor carts, candy and ice cream, placed them together, in a cornered area and began to lay siege!"

The papers in Bri's hand, simply fell to the table, as he looked to Kerri with the most obvious 'WTF' expression, plastered upon his face.

Kerri waved her hands, and cried out in defiance, "Hey! Don't blame me, okay!" We just snuck out for a another snack, and I was tellin them about the Alamo an—"

"THAT'S IT!", cried the runner. "That's what they keep saying, they keep saying, remember the Alamo!"

A most apologetic look to Silver, as he then literally ganked Kerri, by the collar of her shirt, and dragged her off with him, the runner following in tow. As they made for the door.

"Silver, I'm so sorry...Seems I have a terran history lesson, and some severe punishment to handle. I'll contact you people, and set up an appointment. I know you have a full plate."

That said, Kerri was dragged through the door into the hall, somewhat kicking and screaming, as Bri verbally tore her a new one..

"The &*^$ing Alamo!?", was all that could be made out, as they made for the courtyard..

Unfortunate it would be, for thing 1 and thing 2 for very very soon. As they didn't know about the other battles at the Alamo. Such battles are never with out casualties. And as two pools of lilac scanned the chocolate carnage, casualties is exactly what Jenai had in mind.

She had been walking only the next street, talking with Mrs. Cettleblauch over possible meal plans for charity banquet. The noise had been enough to draw many on-lookers, and possible victims, but every mother knows the sound of her own and she had made a line straight towards the commotion, her temple silks whispering as she hurried.

It didn't matter "what? the Alamo was or "why' she should remember it ....but, as she looked around, she would make sure two little girls would never forget. Mrs. Cettleblauch's plump face filled with some unnameable expression as her hands went up covering her mouth with both hands as caught up to Jenai and now was fully engrossed in the dessert scented disaster.

She marched across to the toppled carts thru puddles of melting sweet cream, dripping caramels, and chocolate bits of things now thrown asunder. Jenai's eyes sharpened and marked each of her daughters, daring them to even move an inch as she reached out and snapped up Nathressa by her ear. Protesting eeps went completely ignored as a mother's arm seems to move faster then a child's feet when the need arises. Aleyah was quickly ganked by her ear as well, quickly making her get to her feet and move in closely to her mother and sister.

"Now I know two little girls that would never ever dare of sneaking away from their father and gallivanting around the city all by themselves..." Jenai spoke as the girls squirmed uncomfortably as she hinted they had a very furry accomplice.

"Aunt Kerri!" danced Aleyah on her tippy toes. "Aunt Kerri!" pointed Nathressa hastily to the office building and wincing lightly.

"You two," as she walked them to the middle of the battle field and let them go, "Not only will you apologize to all these people and the owners of the trolli carts, you will gather up every bit of this mess leaving no gummi or ice-cream saving behind, every wrapper, every drip and drop will be counted for..."

The girls slumped their shoulders at the same time under some invisible weight. It was met with a nudge from their Mother as she spied Brian and a very guilty looking Kerri coming outside.

"Kerritha will hold the rubbish bags while you do..."

Making his way through the main entrance of Town Hall, while literally dragging Kerri along the way, Brian's face carried the expression of one severely upset father..

Through the people making their way about, he cut a path, as eyes of blue narrowed taking in the scene before him...A sharp turn to the right, as he soon found himself, in the courtyard itself...Well, what passed for one...The scene was in fact chaos...Ice cream, and candy all over...A blood bath of the sweetest kind indeed...

Various chocolate covered citizens were standing in complete shock...Others, watched on in a rather confused state...The trail of sweetness, veered to a far corner of the yard, as Brian quickly made note of Jenai's presence, seeing she had the girl's in hand, so to speak...Shoving Kerri a tad towards the trio, he spoke rather firmly..

"Kerri, get over there and get to work...Get this mess cleaned up, and we'll talk when I handle things here...Go."

Feline ears slunk back, as Kerri looked to Bri...A stammered reply was all she could offer, as she made for the center of the chaos, rather dejected in her walk.

As that happened, a pair of watchmen showed up, and were quickly flagged down, by Brian.

"Officers, please do me a favour. Please gather those who were affected here, and see if we can find the owners of the carts, so I can make restitution on this to each and every one of them. If you could, let's use that far corner opposite us, and no public works calls...I want these three to handle this, and more so, I want the girls to face the people they affected today."

The pair nodded and went about grouping the victims, and ushering them to the indicated corner, as Brian, now flanked by a pair of janitorial staff, approached the girls, Kerri and Jenai. The staff, leaving garbage bags, cans and clean up supplies, as Brian nodded to them, and then looked to the girls..

"Get this cleaned up...And it better be good...Because if it is not, I swear by all I hold dear, you will not see the light of day, for so long you will forget what it looks like! Now get to work..."

A deep winded sigh, as he looked to Jenai...A bit of a smirk took form, as he watched his beloved a moment and then looked about the chaos once more..

"Ever their parent's children....Are they not, love?"

"Of that there is no doubt. But," she whispered as the trio looked like the weight of the universe was theirs to bear. "I couldn't have been so wasteful of food if I tried."

Of course she wouldn't mention one or two fights OVER food she and the her sisters had gotten into where dinner had been an unfortunate victim. And then, even over the years her appetite stayed strong and never ending, the girls too shared such a fate. She would have figured to find them stuffed to the gills and heralding 2 vicious belly aches.

She put her hand on his chest as she turned around looking thru the crowd. "Speaking of, could you see if the orphanage would let the girls serve lunch there one-day' To make them think next time they want to start a city wide food fight?"

She knew he had important work to get back to and gave him a smirk and a wink before she heard Mrs. Kettleblauch huffing up behind her to finish their business.

A soft sigh escaped his lips, as he remained there, aside his beloved watching their girls...Honestly, one had to respect the amount of chaos, they were able to cause...But something this wasteful, no matter the reason, was something he would never condone. A soft nod to Jenai, as he replied in kind.

"I have no idea, what the hell got into them for this...This is so unlike their normal train of carnage...I mean, snorkling in the marketplace fountains...The offensive with the garden gnomes, when we placed the litter boxes about for them...The time, they kidnapped, a garden and lawn gnome, and began to interrogate them, in reference to selling Tara out.."

Pausing, he just shook his head softly, somewhat lost in thought, as he surveyed the expanse of the girl's re-enactment..

The feel of Jenai's hand snapped him back, as he spoke softly.

"I guess, no one ever told the girls, that the Alamo was taken by Santa Anna, after about a 13 day siege...It was just a few hundred Texans, less than three if I am correct, and they held out against nearly 1500 Mexican soldiers...It was a blood bath...Only two or so Texans were reported to have survived...However...It was also the turning point in the Texas Revolution. The Texans wanted revenge so badly, for what Santa Anna did, that they took it to the Mexican Army, and defeated them in San Jacinto, just over a month later...I think they need to learn exactly, what happened and more so, how brutal it really was.."

A warm smile offered to Jen, as a soft kiss was placed upon her head.

"An yes, I think serving at the orphanage, and maybe some work at the 'JRC' would do well for them, love."

A smile for her once more, as he heard Mrs. Kettleblauch's attempt at making her presence known once more...Ah the joys of public service...Kinda makes one miss the days of adventuring 24/7...In any event, he quickly dismissed that, as another kiss was placed upon Jenai's head.

"I see you are busied, as well. So let's talk tonight, after the girls turn in, okay?"

That was followed, with a kiss to those lips of hers...

"So have fun, and I will tend to the girls, and this mess. We'll see ya at home."

"This seems like a History Lesson of the Mithra variety and I imagine it was more fiction then fact that has turned into a real lesson. Even if a little embarrassed now, come tomorrow's breakfast they will be back to their normal adventures."

She gave him a soft smile, teasingly rolled her eyes and puffed her up her cheeks out of sight of the cook. Quickly she whispered, "This stuffiness is ill-suited for our ilk, perhaps tonight we can plan a trip this weekend to a certain glen?"

Before he could reply, she hurriedly turned to Mrs. Kettleblauch, put on her best smile, and whisked them both away from the area. The faster she could be done with the Cook, the faster she could return to the temple for a bit of peace and quite...

"What happens to pass for normal, when it comes to them, love...This is why, I constantly tell them, because they see it on a screen, or some kind of media, does not make it real...Anyways, I got this, baby. And yeah, we ca—-"

Rightly, was he cut off, as he watched her take that leave of hers...His eyes watching that gait of hers...Oh yes, there would be a trip indeed...Glen and what not be damned, there would be a trip...As she left the quad, he had to smile to himself for a moment...

And then it was on to the people, that the watch had gathered for him. It was time to get their information, and make sure all parties were tended to.

After a bit of time, the mess was finally, and rather soundly cleaned up. The citizens were taken care of, as well as all that other fun stuff that came with a mess of this magnitude. After speaking with the watch, it was time to head home..

So Brian, Kerri and the twins made for the compound, and one helluva bath time for the girls, and their rather hyper guardian..
