In order to bring light to the dark of our previous encounters, I plead that Rhydin give me fair trial for the murder of Macabre. In this package are the effects....I stole...From his corpse. I did it because...I was instructed by the City of Shadows inner council, to go and retrieve the items. They had been pillaged by Teorn, his father, long ago and never recovered. At any rate they didn't want a ruckus, and so they told me to slip out quietly. After killing him, I saw how dearly he held onto these effects...They'd been his father's. Keepsakes in memory of the only hero in his life. I've decided, based on sympathy for the deceased, and a new found sense of hope brought by this community, that I would like to say.
