Ebon read the missive from Frostad and raised an eyebrow as he came to its end. Another offer of aid, he said within himself, and likely not the last one, either. If there's anything good to come from this horror, it's seeing people helping one another in response. A chuckle slipped from his lips, but quickly faded to a sigh. After a moment, he reached out and buzzed one of the line. "Katt, you in your office?"

"Mmm. What's up?"

"I have a letter on which I'd like your opinion. As Chief of Security, I think it falls under your department."

Soon after, Katt's slim frame appeared in his doorway. "This had better be good. You know I have work to do." It was unclear whether or not she was teasing him.

Not worried in the least, Ebon held out the letter from Den City. "Here, take a look at this."

Crossing the room, she plucked the paper from Ebon's fingers to look over the letter. A sound echoed in her chest as she tilted her eyes to Ebon, who met her gaze evenly. "Do you know these people?"

"I've met some here and there, and they haven't been bad experiences, but I can't say that I know them well." He leaned back in his chair, fingers steepled in front of his chest. "However, we've already got the Watch out, or those of them that are reliable anyway, plus Colleen's troops from Navarra....not to mention your brother's resources. Eyes everywhere, hmm?" He nodded towards Katt, who gave a hint of a grin. "While I hate to turn away help, flooding the streets isn't the best approach in my opinion. Agreed?"

Katt smirked just a touch and nodded. "If they wish to be help they can help move water or help distribute provisions to people but so far what they are offering we have that covered. If we put anymore people on this we won't be able to keep it under control." She tilted her eyes to Ebon for his opinion on her words. "I would simply tell them that if they are needed we will let them know."

"Good. I'll leave the response to you, then." A wide grin spread across his face.

Having reviewed the lists provided by Den City, and in the wake of the day's events, Ebon composed a brief note of thanks.

Governor Shieldar,

I wanted to thank you for the offer of support, both logistic and in relief supplies. It is my hope that the former is not truly needed, that the worst violence is behind us. However, there are many folk from across this city, both in Seaside and elsewhere, who find themselves with homes ruined or too damaged to reside in safely. Some of the Barons from the Duel of Swords, though not truly rulers and under no obligation beyound decency, have instituted shelters for these refugees, and I would like to direct the offered supplies, as needed, to these shelters. It will go a long way towards bringing a semblance of normalcy back into their lives.
