For today's press conference, Matt speaks behind a the usual podium. To his left, though, on a tripod stand, sits a large placard. A cluster of what look like vibrant green cocoons is painted toward the bottom of the poster-board. Several brilliantly colored butterflies, wings translucent as they're touched by sunlight for the very first time, burst forth from the mound of cocoons. The initials B.B.I., quite subtle in their presence, are visible behind the scene.

Citizens of Rhydin,

It is with great pleasure and excitement that I address you this morning. My message today is two-fold.

As most all of you are already aware, we have been tracking unexplainable changes in climate and weather behavior over the past several months. Today, I am happy to announce that, ever since the terrible storm known as Sanyumato struck Rhydin, those changes and shifts have stopped entirely. As to what caused these shifts to begin and end, we still do not know. However, the fact that they have stopped is a great relief. We are, of course, continuing to monitor and remain vigilant in case of a resurfacing. However, at this time, we have no reason to believe these events will restart or repeat.

Unfortunately, the cataclysm of those shifts resulted in one of the most horrific and fearsome storms in Rhydin's recorded history. Many of you were personally affected by, or know someone who was affected by, Sanyumato. Salvage and cleanup efforts, while mostly finished, are still underway in some parts of the city. Disaster Aid Recovery Teams are still out in force, helping where needed. I have heard stories of heartbreak and triumph over the last several weeks and I also know the great need that many of you have for support and especially economic assistance. Therefore, I hope you share the same elation I felt when made aware of the following news. Several of the city's citizens have banded together to form the Benson Boulevard Initiative " a program conceived and initiated through a sense of philanthropy and generosity. The Initiative's first endeavor is to directly assist Sanyumato's victims and a significant sum of money has been donated toward that end in what?s known as the Sanyumato Relief Fund.

I have spent the last two weeks in an effort to determine the best entity to entrust the Fund and the ideals of the Initiative. After a thorough vetting process, I, and the founders of the Initiative, have determined that the Kitsune Foundation is best suited to the task. The Kistune Foundation will not only monitor where and how the funds are distributed, they will follow up to ensure that no finances are inappropriately diverted and that each penny reaches the people for whom it's intended.

I would be remiss in not directly naming the founders of the Benson Boulevard Initiative; these people have taken it entirely upon themselves to help turn tragedy into triumph. My heartfelt thanks goes to Graham and Esther Hart, Kyle Levy, Oblinn Lyrana, Daven Mallie, Leigh Mayazuki, Nicole Neese, Koyliak VanDuran-Simon, Gerard Smith, Lillian Smythe, Amador Sui, Jess Vincent, and Sonia Williams. Each of these people own businesses in Rhydin, have a love for this city and its people, and a burning desire to give something back. I commend each and every one of them for their benevolence and kindness.

The logo you see to my left, the symbol of the Benson Boulevard Initiative, represents renewal, beauty, and naissance. These are the core ideals of the Benson Boulevard Initiative and what its founders seek to achieve. I cannot be more pleased with their intentions and their actions. I hope each one of you shares that sentiment. We are all working closely with the Kitsune Foundation and expect the first round of fund to release in the coming week. I look forward to seeing the positive changes to our city and to people's lives as a result of the Initiative.

Thank you for your time this morning " I will speak with you all again soon.
