Topic: Communicating with the Government : The Text Logs

Brian Ravenlock

Date: 2013-09-12 08:18 EST
Alright, this is a lil' format to showcase text communications around Town Hall, and about the City of Rhy'Din. It's mainly for contacting various Government Entities you may not normally get a chance to get a hold of in person too often. Course if you don't exactly know how to contact the party you're trying to reach, you can always have a talk with the new call center operator, @ 'Call Center'.

This is also a way to get a hold of various other city entities such as Public Works, Waste & Water, Parks & Rec, Animal Control, The Watch etc.

So have fun!

"I hope this works....Alright, so this here and then press....Alright, I think I got it now. Let's try this out."

To Governor SilverBlades:

Governor, I hope this works. This is my first time using something like this with a phone, um...Oh yeah, new cupcakes at Yotsuba's Cake Shoppe in the MarketPlace! Also I need to get with you in regards to our mapping. TTYL (My daughter told me to write that, she says you totally pwn it, or something) ~ Capt. Ravenlock

To Cupcake Queen: (aka Governor SilverBlades, the twins changed the name)

Lost Dog & Paperwork, that would explain the BOLO posters someone put up. I'll contact Animal Control and make sure they're on top of it.

To Animal Control:

Afternoon eveyone, please keep me posted in regards to the missing dog & paperwork. The faster it is located, the better. Happy Hunting!

Next meeting: 9/29 8 (est).

What would you all like to discuss this month?

PrlUnicorn

To Governor Silverblades and fellow GAC members,

I would like to propose discussion on the removal of the so-called security cameras and other such equipment from the Red Dragon Inn.

Colleen MacLeod-Fenner

Brian Ravenlock

Date: 2013-09-26 08:07 EST
To Cupcake Queen & GAC Members: Colleen, security cameras?

Caroline Granger

Date: 2013-09-26 08:35 EST
To Governor Silverblades and GAC members: I believe Colleen is referring to the surveillance equipment Governor Helston stated was in place in the RDI, and used during the confidentiality fiasco last year. Also, an update on how the sewers are coming along would be helpful.

Brian Ravenlock

Date: 2013-09-26 10:54 EST
To Cupcake Queen & GAC Members: Thank you, Lady Granger. I'll look into that as well. In regards to the Sewer Mapping Report, I will confer with Isuelt in reference to the update, also after last meetings outburst in regards to the Sewer Mapping, I think a closed session may be in order for that particular discussion.

PrlUnicorn

Date: 2013-09-26 18:33 EST
To Governor Silverblades and GAC members: Caroline is correct. While the Red Dragon is by no means a private venue, patrons should have a certain expectation that the government is not actively spying upon them while they are within its walls. For every criminal one might catch, there's the possibility of other conversations and activities being recorded and delivered into the hands of those with less noble purposes in mind.

FioHelston

To Governor Silverblades and fellow members of the Council:

I believe there may be a point of misunderstanding involved in the current discussion about surveillance in the Red Dragon Inn.

Neither the government nor myself installed any security/surveillance devices in the Red Dragon Inn at any time during my terms in office. We did - after being alerted to a criminal incident - request and receive recordings that were obtained via the security orbs that have, to my knowledge, always been in place in that establishment. These are magical, not technological, in nature, and have been of long duration.

Note to self: Don't run around the Inn naked anymore. Or try to find a way to cover up orbs.

Note to self pt 2: Didn't even know there were orbs in the Inn. Ask G.A.C if we can have Orb viewing party.

To Rekah: I think it's too late if it's been read.

To Governor Silverblades and GAC members: Based on the former Governor's response, there has been a misunderstanding. The orbs must have been set loose after my time as a tender.

To Everybody! I THINK THE CAMERAS SHOULD STAY BECAUSE THEY ARE THERE TO MAKE SURE FREEDOM IS KEPT. IF YOU DISLIKE BEING SPIED ON THEN IT IS OBVIOUS YOU HAVE SOMETHING TO HIDE. CRIMINAL SCUM.

I PROPOSE MORE CAMERAS! PUT THEM ON STREET LAMPS!

...and in bathrooms.

I also submit to the Governor that there should be pie and punch at the next GAC meeting.

And also that I should be apart of the board even though I am already the press secretary!

I would like to respectfully submit my name for consideration as a member or alternate member of the Governor's Advisory Council in a civilian capacity for the coming year.
