Andu Kirost

Date: 2012-04-26 10:57 EST
::Andu lumbers up to the WestEnd District Watch House (Precinct Five) towing behind him a single locked box car from his trains. Leaving the car out front of then Watch House, he lumbers in and asks to see the Officer in charge of taking "donations" to the Watch. After a bit of run-around and red tape cutting he is finally directed to the right office, where he drops the keys for the locks on the car onto the officer's desk.::

I don't have a use for the stuff in the box car out front, but thought you guys might. I run the RTS so if you have any questions or problems I will be easy to find.

::Then he turns and lumbers on out of the office and the building, not waiting for any reply.::

::The following is a list of what is to be found in the box car.::

After the Council meeting, her visit with the journalist had removed a figurative set of scales from her eyes. Saints and proxies! How could she not have seen it'

Fenner dropped her off at the Eye, but as soon as the taillights of his beautiful car had faded off into the distance and he was gone, she got on her Harley and tore back off to Town Hall. From there, it was a short jaunt to the Watch Station where the reports told her the 'donation' had been left.

The whole time, the glossy black data reader patted her thigh from the pocket of her dress.

Fionna nearly flew into the building. "Get the Captain out here," she demanded without preamble. The guard on desk duty nearly jumped out of his skin.

"Ma'am?" he began, but she cut him off.

"Now. Please."

"What's the ruckus out here?" a lean man with silvershot hair came out of the back office before the officer could turn around. Lassiter. She knew the man; he had played poker with her former husband once or twice. "Missus -"

"Thank the gods," she sighed. "There was a railcar delivered her a few weeks ago Full of equipment donated by Councilor Kirost."

"Yeah," he answered with a twist of his mouth. "I know the one."

"What happened with it?"

"Well, he picked the car back up, didn't he?" the Captain came around the desk.

"Yes, but the contents. What happened with the contents?" she pressed.

"Locked 'em up in an empty storeroom downstairs, waiting for word what to do with it all," he scowled.

Her shoulders sagged undeniable relief. "And no one's touched any of it?"

"No offense, Missus, but I haven't known a mage ever who had that much stuff he couldn't find a use for. Even if they couldn't, you ever hear of one that'd part with it' I didn't trust it, and P'wie and Simons -" he stopped to clarify, "the other station captains here - they agreed with me. No one's touched a thing, except to move them in there and lock them up. Why?"

"I haven't heard of such a thing either," was her answer. "Keep it locked up, and don't let anyone in that room unless you hear from me otherwise."

Lassiter shifted uneasily. "You think it's safe to keep it here?"

"For now, I don't know where else to put it."

Neither of them was particularly comforted by the thought.
