The day had been long but they all had one more thing to go over. . It was time to settle into business and get the Ministry moving

Pslyder sat at his desk, in the relatively tiny little office, clack-clacking away on the keyboard. He'd at least dressed fairly decent, in slacks and a button down shirt, over the combat boots. armored jacket hanging on the door. In her own office, Silver glanced at the gifted clock on the nearby shelf had her noting that most everyone would have gone home for the evening, save for the two she asked to stay. Soft music drifted from the Deputy of Commerce's office. Possibly Vivaldi where it masked the chaos within that came with the territory of two jobs; one government, one personal finance. Mina moved in and out occasionally carrying this file or that with various stampings of approval or denial.

Silver rose from her chair, stepping around her desk to head into the hallway. She knocked lightly on the doorframe of Pslyder's office, sticking her head. "Got a few?"

"Hmmm' Oh, sure thang. What's up?" Pslyder looked up, ingrained habit having him hitting the save key on his computer.

"Just a quick meeting in my office. Gonna go get the other Deputy." She smiled. Nodding, Pslyder stood, and worked his way around the desk. He thought he had enough time for a cup of coffee, so went fairly quick to grab that.

Silver turned to head back the opposite way to Race's office, watching as the minion stepped past her. She slid a hand on the door frame before leaning inward. "Meeting time....got a bit?"

"Anything for you ma'am." Race offered a nod and clicked something on his computer screen making an hourglass appear. Then he was pushing away and picking up a folder-file from a neat stack next to his elbow.

With a slight smile, Silver once more entered the hall to head back into her office, rounding the desk again to settle into the large chair behind it. She glanced at the computer screen, clicking the button on it to make the monitor turn black. She had no clue how people used those things all day. Her eyes felt like they were going to melt. Silver reached out to grab a thick folder on the corner of her desk, waiting for the other two to get settled.

Pslyder brought the coffee with, and took a seat in one of the available chairs, and waited for Race to arrive. Moving after Bubbles into the hallway Race set the folder on Mina's desk with a few others for her to file away then he was moving down to the Minister's office to get things underway.

When both were settled, Silver flipped open the folder on her desk and withdrew two pieces of paper. One was slid to each of the men opposite her. "The first thing I want to get done is a consensus of the known businesses here." She pointed to the papers she had passed to them. "This is a very basic list of both the large commercial business and the smaller ones, separated for each of you."

A nod was given as Race took the offered paper, eyes scanning over the names for any he recognizes. Yep, a grimace or two. This one does not have a poker face.

Pslyder also leaned in, and snagged one of the papers, giving it a quick scan-over. Ah, for the days of cybernetic eyes, were such a scan meant he'd be able to read more thoroughly later. Ah well.

"It's only a start. I'm charging you two to add to it. I'd like a rather extensive list by the end of the week. Some of these businesses will be invited in for meetings by me personally. Any others you'd like to meet with are at your discretion. The only real place to start, in my opinion, is knowing what trade and commerce are currently going on. Questions" Comments?" Silver dropped her arms to her desk, looking at the two across from her.

"'Ow soon y'need all this?" Pslyder knew a few on his list too, some, a bit less reputable than others.

"I'd like a decent sized list in a week. Of course we'll add to it as we go, but I need a rather comprehensive place to start.?"

" A'ight. Ah think Ah c'n work wit' this."

Race nodded his head to mirror Pslyder's sentiments as he caught similar situations on his list; some pristine, others a little on the driven snow side.

Silver eyed them curiously, a small grin curving on her lips. "Reputations are for another time." She glanced at Race, having caught some of his grimaces. "If you're not comfortable with any you see or add to the list, I'll handle it."

"I have no problems with them, just means I get to meet the infamous Kitty Helston." Definitely a sassy look in his eye.

" Naw, it's a'ight. Ah'm a big boy. Ah c'n 'andle m'self." Pslyder echoed, chuckling softly as he read over the list more thoroughly. "Lucky you." He said to Race. "Ah get t'talk t'Tru."

"Well then." The Minister laughed quietly, settling back into her chair as she stretched her legs out under the desk. "How's it going otherwise" Settled in?"

Race looked at the other Deputy. "Might be able to get two birds then on a good night around the rings." He nodded with a slow breath.

The main thing Pslyder was looking for at the moment was if a certain Egyptian made his list. No matter what some might think, slavery is a business. Ugh. "So far, yeah. Now that Ah got mah telecom hooked in, it's goin' much smoother." He replied to Silver's question. Silver cast a sidelong glance at the computer and gadgets invading her office, shaking her head absently. "Yep...easier." She muttered, reaching up to rub at the back of her neck. Drake was going to undoubtedly get another call about how the hell to work these things, unless he decided to harass one of her Deputies. "Anything either of you need?"

"Nah. Ain't like Ah'm goin' Matrix-surfin' anytime soon. Ah'm a bit past that these days. Ah'll get right on this, a'ight' Got an idea'r two." Pslyder commented.

At her question, Race got that twinkle in his eye!

"Race?" She half sighed, arching a single brow as she looked across the desk at him.

"I was going to set up a tab at Tory's Diner, since it's down the street. Either of you want on it as well" Make it a business order routine."

"Works for me." Silver nodded.

"Thaht sounds 'alf-decent. They got lamb?" Pslyder asked, looking to Race.

"Every Thursday. Lamb roasted in applesauce with optional wine." Race nodded. "Or are you talking free range?" A blink with a more scrutinizing look toward Pslyder.

Pslyder chuckled again. "Don' worry, Ah ain' gon' be eatin' nothin' on th' 'oof while Ah'm 'eah. Ah'm good wit' sandwiches anna like."

"Wasn't worried about anything like that. Sometimes I forget what I'm allowed to know and what I aint with this place." Race shrugged before looking back to Silver. "So comprehensive list by end of week, more in-depth profiles by next?"

Silver smiled. "After review, that's the plan. A few of them I'll be interested in looking into myself."

Pslyder nodded, since that sounded fairly reasonable.

That's all I have. Unless you have more to do, go enjoy your evening." The Minister looked at the two across from her.

" A'ight then. See y'all inna mornin'." Pslyder stood, and drained the coffee. Speaking of on the hoof?.

Take it easy...Bubbles." Race got in a parting shot as he exits the office with a teasing grin since he waited till Pslyder was out of the room.

"You too, Bunny." She called out, turning back to the remainder of the contents in the folder. She had a few more things to finish up before she was heading out.
